As Yi Chen had said, after they were done with the dinner, he sent Qin Yao away and did the dishes on his own.
’That lad...even with the tests fast approaching, he’s still so willing to give a hand with all these things,’ Yi Chen shook his head with a subtle smile on his face while scrubbing the gravy off a pot.
A few minutes later, he was done with the tasks and was now sitting cross-legged in his room.
If it was like yesterday, then he would have immediately started refining his meridians before calling it a night.
However, that wasn’t the case today because there was something much more important for him to do.
’Here we go then...’ he muttered inwardly as he took out the Crimson Fire Arts from his storage ring.
Looking at the familiar red manual, Yi Chen opened up its status panel the very next instant.

Reading the remark, the expectant expression on Yi Chen’s face instantly faded away and was replaced with that of hesitation.

"Then was that a case of demonic possession?" he muttered with doubt apparent in his eyes when he thought back on how Feng Mong Li lost his sanity at the last stages of his life and rushed deep inside the Valley of Death.
He kept stroking his chin with a thoughtful expression on his face.
"If he was really possessed or had been fighting possession for a long time, then his losing his sanity and finally losing control to rush inside the Valley of Death would all make sense..."
The next second, however, Yi Chen shook those thoughts away.
He was just speculating, and there could be several other reasons that he was unable to think of.
"But well..." Yi Chen smiled awkwardly the next second, "Since I already possess a demonic physique...isn’t having a demonic origin absorption art similar to having icing on the cake?"
He chuckled at his skewed fate the next second and muttered with ridicule evident in his voice.

With that said, he placed the Crimson Fire Arts manual back in his storage ring before devoting the next couple of hours to refining his meridians.
The next day, after Feng Lei’s class was over, he trained a little with Qin Yao and guided him in his spearmanship before having their lunch.
With that done, he went to the Zhou Clan and trained together with Zhou Mei for a couple of hours before finally returning by five in the evening.
He spent the next few hours meditating to prepare himself for the Heart Test and later had his dinner.
This was followed by his regular cultivation practice before finally calling it a night.
This hectic schedule repeated itself as the days left until the Heavenly Azure Dragon Sect’s entrance test kept getting fewer and fewer.
