Chapter 136: Chapter 114: It Was I Who Personally Ordered Your Capture.
Shu Yao and Qin Shiwei went to the park to pick up Zaizai.
"Mama~"
When Xiao Juzi saw his mother coming for him, he immediately hopped off the carousel and scampered over.
But as soon as he saw Qin Shiwei wearing the disguise, the smile on his little face vanished.
’That annoying guy! He’s monopolizing Mama while I’m away!’
’So annoying!’
Shu Yao asked, feigning ignorance, "Aren’t you happy that Mama and Papa came to pick you up together?"
"I just knew Mama would come get me!" Xiao Juzi said confidently, ignoring Qin Shiwei.
Qin Shiwei’s gaze swept around nonchalantly. "Where’s that little girl from your drawing?"
He wanted to see just what was so captivating about this kid that would make Xiao Juzi willing to leave his mother and come here.
"It was you!" Xiao Juzi shouted as if he’d caught a thief. "You’re the one who secretly touched my drawing, weren’t you!"
He’d wondered how his drawing had gotten outside when he’d left it safely under his pillow!
Shu Yao furiously ruffled his little head and said through gritted teeth, "Hasn’t Mama told you not to shout at your elders?"
’What kind of elder is that annoying guy! Hmph~’
’Wait!’
’When did that annoying guy go into my and Mama’s room?’
Seeing him freeze, Shu Yao knew exactly what was going through his little head and quickly changed the subject.
"Where’s Little Taotao? Did she go home? Sweetie, should we go home too?"
Xiao Juzi felt like something was off, but once his attention was diverted, that strange feeling in his heart vanished with a poof, and he couldn’t grasp it anymore.
He had spent another afternoon digging for treasure in the sandbox with Little Taotao today. But Little Taotao had already gone home with her mother half an hour ago.
Xiao Juzi wanted to play on the slide and the carousel for a bit, figuring that if he and his grandma didn’t go home by the agreed-upon time, his mama would surely come to pick him up.
So, he lingered in the park for a while longer.
Shu Xin naturally let him have his way.
Just as Xiao Juzi had hoped, his mama did indeed come.
’And that extra, annoying guy!’
’But as long as I get home, I can get rid of him!’
They arrived at their doorstep.
"Bye-bye, annoying guy!" The moment he jumped out of the Flying Machine, Xiao Juzi was eager to drive Qin Shiwei away. He made a face and deliberately said something provoking, "I’m going home with Mama. We’re not taking you, hmph~"
Looking at the little brat who was practically begging for a spanking, the corner of Qin Shiwei’s mouth twitched.
’Trying to piss me off on purpose, are you? Fine!’
He silently opened the electronic door of the house next door.
A robot butler came out and bowed to him. "Master, welcome home."
Shu Xin was startled. "Ah Bao, so you’re the one living next door to us!"
Xiao Juzi froze on the spot, utterly shattered! He didn’t react for a good while.
Qin Shiwei replied politely to Shu Xin, "Yes. I just moved in a short while ago. I’m sorry for not telling you sooner. I hope you’re not upset."
Seeing Shu Yao’s reaction, Shu Xin realized her daughter had known about this before she did.
"Not at all, not at all." Shu Xin couldn’t have been happier.
For Ah Bao to go to such lengths, it meant he took Shu Yao and Xiao Juzi very seriously.
Shu Xin was extremely gratified.
Xiao Juzi, however, was not happy at all. In fact, he felt a deep sense of crisis!
He ran over and gave Qin Shiwei a push, but he couldn’t budge the man an inch. Instead, he bounced off and fell right on his bottom.
He let out all his frustration in a loud wail.
He cried so hard that his childish voice started to crack.
"WAAAH, I don’t want you living next door! Move out! WAHHH!"
Seeing that annoying guy look down on him with the air of a victor, Zaizai cried even louder.
Qin Shiwei: ’Trying to fight me? You’re still too green for that!’
"Sweetheart, get up! The ground is cold!"
Shu Xin felt both sorry for him and amused. She went to help her little grandson up but was swatted away by a small hand.
"I don’t want to!" Xiao Juzi had a complete meltdown, his face streaming with tears. "Waaaaah..."
Shu Yao didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
"Shu Ju," she said, her voice as stern as she could make it. "So you’re just going to stand here and cry, is that it?"
After all, Xiao Juzi was still afraid of making his mother angry. He scrambled to his feet while still crying, not forgetting to pat the dust off his bottom.
"Waaaaah..."
He started walking toward their house, crying, but after two steps, he suddenly turned back. He grabbed the leg of Shu Yao’s pants with his little hand and started pulling his mother toward their home with all his might.
’Mama is mine!’
’Go away, annoying guy!’
Shu Xin gave Qin Shiwei a troubled smile. She couldn’t read any expression on the man’s unremarkable face, but she comforted him as if afraid he might be upset.
"Ah Bao, no child dislikes their father from the start. Xiao Juzi just isn’t familiar with you yet. Just take your time."
"Mm," Qin Shiwei replied faintly.
After saying goodbye to him, Shu Xin ran back to console her distraught little grandson.
Once the Shu Family’s electronic door was completely closed, the man strode into the house next door, his face grim.
