I Have A Special Cultivation Talent

Chapter 167 - Lackeys of the Clan

Chapter 167: Lackeys of the Clan

Chapter 165

“Nice punch,” the red-haired cultivator said with a brilliant smile. In addition to the icy look in his eyes, there was also a little excitement and curiosity. “A little cultivator of Foundation Establishment Plane can actually unleash the battle power of Golden Core– I think you must be a genius in this little place, correct? I like nothing more than to kill geniuses!”

Chen Jingzhai’s punch was powerful, and its momentum was unabated as it arrived in front of his opponent. However, it only managed to move his red hair a bit with the gust and stoked some remaining flames, none of which was able to hurt him. On the other hand, Chen Jingzhai’s punch generated great interest from the red-haired cultivator.

“The Eastern Ocean has its own order; rogue cultivators normally do not have the audacity to attack and kill Golden Core Sages from the celestial clans,” Chen Jingzhai looked at him nonchalantly, “The might of your Golden Core is extremely tyrannical, and simply cannot be compared to rogue cultivators in the Golden Core Plane. All three celestial clans in the Eastern Ocean are friendly with our clan and would not attack us. So, the question is: who are you?”

“You talk too much, and it’s all useless junk,” the red-haired cultivator responded impatiently. “If you want to know who I am, captured me and you will find out soon enough after searching my soul and spirit!”

“What a great suggestion, I agree!” Chen Jingzhai nodded.

“Hey, despicable boy!” The red-haired cultivator disappeared before his words were finished. At the place where he was standing, a sword with colorful rays of light suddenly arrived. It sprinted out of the ocean, and contained the will that could split open the heavens. However, it did not hit its intended target.

“I’m just a little cultivator of the Foundation Establishment Plane, so naturally I have to do everything I can to deal with a Golden Core Sage.” When Chen Jingzhai finished speaking, he took out a pure and top-grade spiritual stone and stuffed it in Su Qinghuang’s hand. Then he smiled, “What’s truly despicable is that a Golden Core Sage had sneaked upon a little cultivator of the Foundation Establishment Plane like me!”

The Five Bamboo Sword turned into a stream of light and came directly to the left side of Chen Jingzhai, who blocked the punch from the red-haired cultivator just in time. Furthermore, the Five Bamboo Sword also burst out with a dazzling and sharp sword vapor. This extremely powerful sword vapor repelled the red-haired cultivator. Its residual momentum also managed to briefly tear an opening in the ocean.

“Good magic treasure, good sword, great quality, and I want it!” The red-haired cultivator was not angered but smiled instead. A wave of his hand unleashed a flaming magic power that directly grabbed at Chen Jingzhai’s Five Bamboo Sword.

Chen Jingzhai said nothing and continued to stand by Su Qinghuang’s side. However, the Five Bamboo Sword was spinning by itself in midair, rushing towards the flaming magic power instead of retreating and resisting the red-haired cultivator with the sword vapor.

“You are too naive!” The red-haired cultivator felt the pressure of the flaming magic power, and his face turned somber. Immediately, he began running his magic power on the spot, and chided softly, “Kraken Seal, squash!”

The flaming magic power suddenly turned into a great seal of a coiled-up Kraken. Its ultra-high temperature also carried with it an extremely heavy pressure, intended on using this method to suppress the spirituality of the Five Bamboo Sword.

But Chen Jingzhai had no intention to play games with him about snatching the magic treasure. In the Tempest Ocean, Sage Meng and others had already fallen to a disadvantage. If he did not hurry up to help them, their situation would be dire.

Staring at the red-haired cultivator, Chen Jingzhai couldn’t afford the luxury of discretion. Directly, he summoned White Jade and Golden Flame. The two deities, however, seemed to be concerned about the presence of outsiders and did not reveal their true identities.

Others only saw that Chen Jingzhai summoned two swords out of thin air. They formed a Yin Yang Formation and immediately morphed into a thin line of gold and silver, which directly slashed at the red-haired cultivator.

“No!!!” The red-haired cultivator felt the danger but it was already too late. The divine mind that belonged to the Golden Core Sage was put into high alert. He looked desperate as he tried all he could to dodge the onslaught, but he was doomed.

He only had time to let out a miserable shrill, before his entire head was cut off by the thin line of gold and silver. At the same time when his head flew up into the air, blood spouted freely from the area of separation.

The body of a Golden Core, even if it was cut off, could be reattached or grow back by some means. But when it was the head that had been cut off, it was difficult to grow back, and could only be reattached.

But the blood that flowed out indicated that the red-haired cultivator was already dead. At the moment when his head flew up, the red-haired cultivator’s golden core exploded from his chest, turned into a stream of light, and rushed into the water, trying to escape.

“You asked for it!” Chen Jingzhai smiled disdainfully; he had been preparing for this move. The Grotto-heavens divine light sprinkled, and that Golden Core had nowhere to run. It was taken into the Primordial Essence World by Chen Jingzhai.

The Golden Flame Sword and the White Jade Sword brought back the head and the body, which were also taken away by Chen Jingzhai.

“Let’s go!” Chen Jingzhai didn’t bother to say more, as he held onto Su Qinghuang’s wrist and used the escape technique to get to the boundary of the Tempest Ocean. Before they even arrived there, the Five Bamboo Sword had already arrived.

Sage Meng, who was busy escaping, was holding a muscular middle-aged sage whose left arm was missing, followed by three other Golden Core Sages. They had dodged left and right but were caught in a very embarrassing predicament.

Chen Jingzhai’s sword came just in time. It helped to clear a way for them to escape, allowing Sage Meng to take his people to Chen Jingzhai, and have a moment to rest and breathe.

He looked extremely tired, but still, he was greatly shocked inside. A Golden Core Sage was destroyed in Chen Jingzhai’s hands, with a speed so fast that the other three Golden Core Sages had no time to react.

His Foundation Establishment Plane had slewn a Golden Core against all odds!

This kind of impact had shattered his entire understanding of the world as he knew it!

“You two have been through a lot!” Chen Jingzhai smiled and gave two more top-quality spiritual stones to them.

Sage Meng was stunned, but yet, he was ecstatic. He held tightly onto the spiritual stone that was given to him and did not let it go; even he did not have such high-quality spiritual stones in his possession. In such a depleted state, this was the best remedy.

Abundant essence power from the spiritual stone poured into the body, with almost no need to process it first. It quickly circulated with the remaining golden core magic power inside the body. The golden core that had dimmed quickly recuperated, and his aura was finally stabilized.

Not only him, but the Golden Core Sage who was leaning on his shoulder held tightly onto the spiritual stone as well. Soon, his wound began to improve; even the place where his arm was severed began to grow.

As long as there was enough magic power, this type of trauma could be easily reversed. When the golden core was concentrated enough, it meant stepping into another world. Otherwise, there would not be this notion of mind over matter.

But it also made Chen Jingzhai’s record of beheading a Golden Core Sage even more impressive.

“Be careful!” Sage Meng said as he looked at the approaching stream of light. While he was recovering his magic power, he couldn’t help but continued, “Those are the robbers who came from the Tempest Ocean, intercepting cultivators who passed through and killing them for resources without any compassion whatsoever.”

“Compassion? What is that? Hahaha!”

A burst of arrogant and irreverent laughter was heard, as three streams of light stopped in front of everyone.

All three men had different body types, and their hair color varied from black to yellow. The style of the robes they wore was vastly different from that of Pulao Kingdom. Every one of them gave out an aura of incredible pressure, which made the others cringe.

The one who laughed was a black-haired Golden Core cultivator, with shoulder-length hair. He was holding a giant gear in his hand, his long and narrow eyes flashing bits of starlight amid the laughter.

“Is it that funny?” Chen Jingzhai asked. He was standing in front of them, looking at these unwelcome visitors indifferently.

“Isn’t it funny?” The man made a snorting sound and looked at Chen Jingzhai. “Cultivators by definition are supposed to be ruthless, without home or country, and care for no one but themselves; what is the use of compassion?”

“It’s just a different path, that’s all,” Chen Jingzhai said flatly. “But the strong devours the weak, just like a Foundation Establishment cultivator like me can kill Golden Core Sages!”

“You are right,” the man actually agreed with him and looked up and down at him. “Although you did use a magic treasure, and my third brother did underestimate the enemy a little too much. You are fast and you have some confidence.”

“Then surrender!” Chen Jingzhai looked at him indifferently. “I am the direct disciple of the celestial clan. If you three kneel down before me, I will consider taking you in as my lackeys!”

“Lackeys of the clan? Hahaha, you are so full of shit!” The man laughed instead of being angered by these words. “The four of us came from nothing, and in order to not lose our freedom, we came to the Tempest Corridor. We did not expect to discover this area, but clearly the heavens had a different idea for us.”

“Do you think there is room for you to resist?” Chen Jingzhai frowned as he looked at him.

“Why not?” The man’s face was beet-red as he shouted excitedly. “You are just a Foundation Establishment cultivator, how many times can you activate the magic treasure? Two Golden Core Sages have depleted their magic power, and the other one is critically injured; you are all mine, sooner or later. You are the direct disciple of the clan? That’s great. Everything you have is mine, and this here, is the hunting ground for my brothers and I.”

“Hunting ground?” Chen Jingzhai looked at him with a half-smile. “You can’t even take me down, how dare you talk about hunting? You are no more than a group of robbers. I wanted to show you some mercy and give you a chance. Unfortunately, you are too stupid and stubborn!”

“Who is stupid and stubborn?” The man laughed. “I will teach you a lesson. All this talk is nothing but a delaying technique. You two, hurry up!”
