“Then did you want to sell my dried fish as well?” Chu Xian asked after a moment of thought.

“Hmm?” David looked at him with embarrassment. “I thought about this, but Chu Xian, you’re my brother. You saved me, so if there’s anything I can do for you, just ask!”

David patted his chest as he made this promise, but Chu Xian shook his head gently. “We’re friends. I could never let you die in front of me!”

Even though David had his own plans, he had been kind to Chu Xian and taken care of him in America.

“Yes, we’re friends!” David nodded seriously.

“If Ali escaped, there will be people coming to save us!” David stood up and walked over to the side. He broke off a branch and hung his clothes from it.

“Eh…” Chu Xian was amused at the sight of David swinging around the branch, but he didn’t say a word. “David, I found some good stuff while you were passed out!”

“Oh? What kind of good stuff?” David asked.

“I’ll show you.” Chu Xian smiled and led the way.

“This…” David said with surprise. Huge lobsters tied with grass rope were clustered on the beach. “Chu Xian, where did you find all these giant lobsters?”

“Not just lobsters!” Chu Xian smiled and walked to the small holes he dug.

“This…” David put down the branch and grabbed the biggest abalone. “Abalone, two-headed abalone! Brother Chu, you…”

“I stumbled upon some of them in the sea, so I brought them all back. I never expected American shores would be so amazing!” Chu Xian laughed.

David shook his head speechlessly. “It’s not as easy as you think. There are many professional fishermen out there; you’re very lucky you found these giant lobsters and abalone!”

“Heehee.” Chu Xian laughed. “I found them in a hidden hole; I never expected to find any abalone or oysters or lobsters there.”

“Your luck is amazing.” David sighed. Two-headed abalone – even he only had them two or three times in his entire life.

“En, it’s pretty good.” Chu Xian nodded. “We might need to barbeque some giant lobsters tonight!”

“Such huge lobsters are probably worth at least ten thousand at a hotel!” David looked over the giant lobsters with a heated gaze, but then he turned his head to the sea. “If Ali escaped, she should call the police to come find us soon.”

“En? It looks like they’re already here!” Chu Xian looked at a yacht in the distance with “POLICE” on it.

“You’re right, great. Ali is fine!” David stood up excitedly and waved his SOS “flag” as hard as he could.

Shortly after, the people on the yacht noticed David’s signal and came over.

“David, David! Honey, I’m so glad you’re okay!” Ali ran over to her husband tearfully.

“I’m fine, I’m fine. Chu Xian saved my life.” David hugged Ali.

“Thank you! Thank you so much, Chu Xian.” Ali hugged Chu Xian emotionally.

“Heh. I’m happy to help.” Chu Xian hugged her back and smiled.

Everyone was stunned when they saw Chu Xian’s catch, and when they got back to land, they had to head over to the police station to give statements.

“Chu Xian, brother.” Back home, David came out of a room with something in his hands. He put down a set of keys and a book and smiled. “Brother, thank you for saving my life. These are the keys and deed to a villa in New York. Please take it.”

“En?” Chu Xian smiled and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He shook his head quickly. “There’s no need. We’re friends; of course I would save you. I can’t accept this!”

“Chu Xian dear, take it. You saved David’s life, and this is just a small villa.” Ali said, putting her hand on David’s shoulder.

“No, I really can’t.” Chu Xian refused firmly. “We’re friends. You’re treating me as an outsider! Anyway, I’ll come to the US only once or twice a year, so it’s useless to me anyway!”

David and Ali said no more when they saw that Chu Xian had made up his mind.

“Alright. Chu Xian, brother, will you sell me your giant lobsters and abalones? I’ll pay double the market price!” David said.

“The market price is fine.” Chu Xian replied after some thought. He couldn’t take these things back to China anyway.

“Then I’ll buy them at the Hotel’s rate. I can’t take advantage of you!” David insisted.

Chu Xian nodded and agreed.

“That’s great! Haha, I’ll send them all over to the hotel. It’ll be a great opportunity to outshine Natar’s hotel, and we’ll have the Arowana as well!” David said excitedly.

Chu Xian smiled and chatted some more before returning to his room.

Lying in bed, Chu Xian couldn’t help but think back to that cave with all the treasure. The sea was hug, and filled with countless secrets. Just the value of its seafood alone was priceless.

“I should get my own fishing ship and start a hotel. Become self-sufficient.”

Chu Xian fell asleep thinking about his plans.

The next morning, David took him to Chinatown.

“This is my ornamental fish shop, and the hotel nearby is called Long Hua Hotel.” David stopped by a storefront and explained to Chu Xian.

Chu Xian looked around. Four big Chinese characters spelling out “Long Hua Ornamental Fish” with the accompanying Chinese were written in an eye-catching fashion, and next door was another ornamental fish shop.

Down by Long Hua hotel, just as expected, was another hotel right next door.

David noticed Chu Xian’s gaze and nodded. “You guessed it. This ornamental fish store and that hotel both belong to Natar.”

“Your hatred is deep!” Chu Xian shook his head speechlessly.

David smiled. He gestured for Chu Xian to follow him. Inside his shop, he walked up to his Arowana excitedly.

Chu Xian looked over the dozen or so Arowana and all the other different types of ornamental fish. They were all at least a couple thousand.

“Put these five Arowana by the entrance!” David said to a worker.

“Yes, boss!”
