Chapter 925 - 944: Dean, I Want to Skip a Grade
Chapter 925: Chapter 944: Dean, I Want to Skip a Grade
"What?!" Dean Zhu furrowed his brows.
"Dean, I want to skip a grade," Qiuqiu repeated her request.
She had actually been considering this for a long time. In the month between first entertaining the idea and finally deciding to go through with it, Qiuqiu had looked up the sophomore curriculum for the Spirit Healing Department. Aside from a few theoretical concepts she wasn’t completely solid on yet, she felt she was already well on her way with most of the practical and healing courses. As for the theory she didn’t understand, she had already drawn up an outline. Spending some extra time in the library or asking Dean Zhu a few questions would easily solve the problem.
In summary, she wanted to skip directly to her junior year.
Of course, something like an outline couldn’t serve as compelling evidence to present to the dean. Therefore, after Qiuqiu stated her case, she immediately began demonstrating her skills: meditation, drawing out her spiritual power into threads, allocating her spiritual power, and more. Beyond that, she showed her ability to control the dissipation of spiritual power and temporarily use her spiritual power source without the aid of any tools.
Qiuqiu executed everything flawlessly.
After seeing this entire display, the dean was stunned. He looked Qiuqiu up and down. "You came prepared, Qiuqiu."
"Well, I wouldn’t have come to your office if I wasn’t prepared, Dean." Qiuqiu was very serious. "I’m not just skipping a grade for the sake of skipping a grade.
"It’s just that I feel I’ve already pretty much mastered the sophomore material. I want to spend the next year focusing more on practical application."
Once students in the Spirit Healing Department reached their junior year, theoretical classes decreased significantly, mostly giving way to practical courses. Every so often, the school would arrange for students to visit hospitals or other locations that required Spirit Healing Masters for on-site practical training.
The dean pondered for a moment. "Our department has never had a student skip a grade..."
Hearing this, Qiuqiu smiled and pointed at herself. "But Dean, I’m also the first person in our department to double major.
"Since I’m already double majoring, skipping a grade isn’t that strange, is it?
"How about this, Dean? I remember that the final exams for freshmen and sophomores aren’t held at the same time. Why don’t you give me a chance to take the sophomore exam?" Qiuqiu was very confident in herself. "If my test results are satisfactory, you agree to let me skip a grade."
If her results weren’t good enough, she would obediently attend her sophomore classes. This way was fair, and it would give the dean a perfectly valid reason to explain it to others.
Dean Zhu thought about it and agreed.
After coming to an agreement, the dean asked Qiuqiu privately why she suddenly wanted to skip a grade so badly.
"The main reason is that I’ve already learned everything I’m supposed to learn. Repeating the same classes would definitely be boring," Qiuqiu said. "Another reason is..."
Being at school felt too much like a long-distance relationship. No couple liked long-distance relationships, right? The way her Little Panda eagerly pined for her was simply too adorable. She wanted to graduate early, too.
She only said half of it; the other half was swallowed by her bright smile.
The dean was a man of experience, and since he also browsed the Star Network, he simply asked, "Is it because your partner wants you to graduate early?"
"Yeah," Qiuqiu said with a beaming smile. "He’s part of the reason." Who wouldn’t want to spend every day with their girlfriend, after all? "But mainly, I want to fight side by side with my boyfriend!"
Fight?
"Your boyfriend is a Mecha Soldier?" Generally, the word "fight" was only used when heading to the front lines.
For some unknown reason, as the words "fight," "front lines," and "Mecha Soldier" tangled together, Mo Si’s face naturally floated into the dean’s mind.
No! That was impossible!
That was completely absurd. The age gap was way too big. It just didn’t add up at all.
