Chapter 922 - 941: Qiu Mo’s Long-Distance Relationship Makes One Anxious
Chapter 922: Chapter 941: Qiu Mo’s Long-Distance Relationship Makes One Anxious
Time for school.
Walking through the quiet campus and passing by a few classmates, Jiang Qiuqiu felt a slight urge to rub Little Panda’s ears, even though they had only just parted. So-called "long-distance relationships" really were agonizing. Ugh.
But it couldn’t be helped; she still had to go to class. Not only did she have to attend, but she also had to take it seriously!
Jiang Qiuqiu thought, "This is the study time I earned by sacrificing my time with Little Panda. I have to give it my all!"
Thinking about it from another angle, Qiuqiu felt completely pumped up today. In the morning, she went to the Mecha Single Soldier System first and began practicing control over her S-grade spiritual power. In the afternoon, she attended classes at the Spirit Healing Department as usual. However, Qiuqiu already knew some of the things the subject teacher was discussing.
She had previously taken some private lessons with Dean Zhu and would occasionally touch upon upper-level knowledge. Dean Zhu wouldn’t go into too much depth, but if Qiuqiu didn’t understand something, she would go to the library to look it up herself. As more theoretical knowledge entered her mind, coupled with the fact that she was a person of action who immediately put theory into practice, she naturally ended up ahead of schedule.
While everyone else in the classroom was doing spiritual power threading training, Qiuqiu felt she might need to skip a grade. Perhaps she should go ask if she could audit the second-year classes?
After a busy afternoon, evening arrived in the blink of an eye.
On Sunday, Qiuqiu had announced in her fan group and on her Star Network account that she would be live-streaming at seven o’clock tonight. She arrived at the teachers’ apartment early. By the time she finished harvesting her vegetables and prepping the ingredients, it was only ten past six.
Since she had some extra time, she originally wanted to do some spiritual power splitting training. However, her training helmet was back in the dorm. After thinking about it, Qiuqiu sent Mo Si a video call.
One of the perks of having a boyfriend in the Federation was that video calls were answered immediately!
The call connected quickly. Qiuqiu saw that Mo Si was dressed very formally, sitting in his office in a crisp military uniform.
"Are you not off work yet?" she asked.
"Almost," Mo Si replied, his hands busy as he spoke. "What about you? Are your classes over? Getting ready to stream?"
"Yes! I’m waiting for the stream to start. Will you watch it later?" she asked with starry eyes.
"The timing is unfortunate today," Mo Si said. "I have to attend a joint conference later."
"Another meeting?"
"Yeah. It’s the end of an even-numbered year, so the Military Department’s Legion Confrontation Tournament is about to start. We’re having a meeting to discuss the schedule."
"Legion Confrontation Tournament?" Qiuqiu asked, her face full of curiosity.
Seeing her curiosity, Mo Si was slightly surprised. "You didn’t know?"
"I think I’ve heard of it, but I can’t really remember."
The original owner’s memories probably contained this information, but Qiuqiu’s recollection of the original owner’s past had grown very blurry, and she couldn’t recall it at all. Thus, Mo Si explained it to her.
The so-called Legion Confrontation Tournament involved the legions numbered one through twelve. Each legion selected three teams, which then entered specific competition zones for head-to-head matches to determine the final rankings. The awards ceremony typically coincided with the recruitment season. Based on past experience, the top-ranked legions would always receive a higher number of applicants during recruitment.
Of course, the Sixth Army was an anomaly. Ranking first year after year, their recruitment was notoriously strict; wanting to join was one thing, but it ultimately depended on whether one’s aptitude was high enough.
"The Sixth Army is so amazing!"
Mo Si had explained a whole bunch of details, but upon hearing Qiuqiu’s evaluation, a gentle look filled his eyes. "Is that all you took away from that?"
"Yeah, the uncrowned kings! Our Little Panda is just too strong!"
Being praised by one’s sweetheart was naturally delightful. They smiled at each other through the screen, realizing that it was almost time for both of them to get busy.
Ending the call with a hint of reluctance, both Mo Si and Qiuqiu thought, "Chatting with the person I like is so interesting, even if it’s just describing simple daily life."
