Chapter 916: Chapter 935: New Star Now Rivals the Federation’s Livestream
The sudden addition of food to the showcase surprised the fans staking out Qiuqiu’s account.
[I knew waiting would pay off! My time is valuable! I snagged some! Two portions!]
[...Damn, the poster above is awesome. To think you managed to grab two portions. The moment I saw the food pop up, I gave it my absolute all and still only managed to get one.]
In Qiuqiu’s food circle, followers were divided into tiers.
Newcomers all started at Level 1. Through chatting, tipping, completing daily check-in tasks, and so on, their levels would gradually rise up to a maximum of Level 100.
The fan who had camped out for Qiuqiu’s new release but only snagged a single portion was a Level 2.
[This just means your hand speed is too slow. Don’t be discouraged. As long as you follow Juju long enough, you’ll eventually develop lightning-fast hands too. You train much faster here than you ever did when you were single.]
[It’s hard. You seniors are way too fast.]
Speaking of which, this was exactly why some Ju people were so highly accepting of newcomers.
[I used to think that with so many people joining Juju’s stream, ’snatching food’ would become extremely difficult. But to my surprise, having more people around is no different from not having them. Hehe!]
[I’m finally not the slowest in the stream anymore! There are people acting as a shield at the bottom for me now. Thinking about it makes me quite relieved.]
The veteran fans happily sighed with emotion in the circle.
The newcomers, however, were left speechless. They secretly swore to practice their tapping speed starting today, striving to trample these show-offs under their feet.
With more people came more chats and more topics. As everyone conversed, the discussion somehow shifted to how the dishes uploaded this Saturday were far more lavish than those from regular streams.
The veteran fans knew exactly what was up: [Just look at it. There’s meat, vegetables, and soup—she clearly made a full feast at home. Normally, Juju doesn’t cook this many dishes at school. I’m taking a blind guess that she went home. Plus, I saw these things again—]
[Bamboo shoot and pork rib soup, and scrambled eggs with green shoots. She must have cooked this meal for her boyfriend.]
Thus, the new fans were forcefully spoon-fed the lore: Juju had a boyfriend.
But why did it seem like they had never heard of him or seen him in previous streams?
[Juju has mentioned him before. Even though her boyfriend hasn’t appeared on stream, their relationship should be very good.]
[?]
[When Juju answered her boyfriend’s call, she was simply too gentle.]
That kind of affection was visible to the naked eye.
[Oh, oh...]
After finishing the gossip about Qiuqiu’s private life, the topic went round and round. Some fans in the circle who failed to snatch the food were left drooling under the tasting posts, so they came over to ask for recommendations on reliable sellers on Taobao Food.
The veteran "foodies" naturally had their own little notebooks of records, and they immediately recommended their go-to sellers in the thread.
Very soon, those sellers’ order queues were fully booked.
As a result, people started asking for the next best alternatives.
Asking around like this, all the fresh food sellers were soon fully booked as well. Everyone decided to buy sauce instead, but the sauce... had a strict purchase limit of two bottles per person, per ID, per month. It wasn’t nearly enough to satisfy their cravings.
Going back and forth over eating and drinking, because there were simply too many people discussing these things, Jiang Qiuqiu’s food circle upgraded once again this Saturday.
Furthermore, two trending topics from this small circle naturally climbed onto the Star Network’s hot search lists.
The first was #WhoTastesBetterOnTheTaobaoFoodRankings#, and the second was #WhenWillTrashNewStarLetJujuResumeStreaming#.
Not only that, but many people in the broader community suddenly began discussing New Star. Names like Jiang Qiuqiu, the New Star app, and Qian Xingxing constantly reached the public’s ears.
Very abruptly, in what felt like just a fleeting breath, Qian Xingxing’s New Star was pushed to the exact same dimension as Federation Streaming.
Only, one represented the "established," while the other represented the "cutting-edge."
