Wu Yu finally knew how Heavenly Buddha’s Domain and Heavenly Domain were linked.
Xuanzang had used the three bodhisattva worlds to open the Sumeru Passage and manipulate it.
He had plunged both worlds into further misery and suffering!
Many within the Heavenly Domain would die, including more and more immortals and immortal emperors.
But why would Xuanzang do this?
"Ancestor Guanyin, why would Xuanzang do such blasphemous things?"
Wu Yu burst out. "And Xuanzang had even said that it was the Jade Emperor who incited the first invasion, smashing the Immortal Buddha World Core. He pointed at the Jade Emperor as the first mastermind....."
"No! You were deceived by him."
Patriarch Bodhi cried. He turned back to Guanyin Pusa, who nodded. "In truth, the situation in Heavenly Domain and Heavenly Buddha’s Domain have nothing much to do with the Jade Emperor. Everything about everything was because of the Unworldly Abomination!"
"Unworldly Abomination?"
Wu Yu was puzzled by this.
It was the first time that he was hearing about this.
He felt like the world was shifting right under him. The solid ground that he had built his choices on - the Jade Emperor destroying two immortal domains, the Forgetting Mantra - all of it was crumbling now.
However, he put it from his mind. He wanted to know the truth. "Where is this Unworldly Abomination from? Why have I never heard of it?"
Guanyin Pusa told him everything.
The Unworldly Abomination was a beast that could devour everything. He came from another world, and no one knew about it.
When the Unworldly Abomination first came to Heavenly Domain, he had devoured the entirety of the sky palaces. All of the immortal emperors were his puppets, part of the Unworldly Abomination.
This included the Jade Emperor. The immortal emperors had long died, which was why they did not remember anything.
Not about Great Sage, Heaven’s Equal, nor about the Ruyi Jingu Bang.
"This Unworldly Abomination calls himself Cat God. Demon Immortal Realm included, all of the immortal emperor killings was his doing."
Patriarch Bodhi continued: "In the end, Cat God attacked Heavenly Buddha’s Domain, trying to devour it as well. Finally he met his match, the master of the immortal domain, Lord Gautama Buddha!"
"Cat God? Lord Gautama Buddha?"
Wu Yu frowned upon hearing these two names.
He had heard Xuanzang and Guanyin Pusa speak of Gautama before, but to think he was the master of the Heavenly Buddha’s Domain!
Xuanzang, the Buddha Above All, was merely his disciple.
But why had Xuanzang become like this?
Patriarch Bodhi continued: "On the day that the Unworldly Abomination Cat God fought Lord Gautama Buddha, the Immortal Buddha World Core was broken. However, Lord Gautama Buddha sacrificed himself to severely injure the Unworldly Abomination Cat God, and sent him deep into slumber."
"As the disciple of the Lord Gautama Buddha, Xuanzang chose betrayal. He allied with the Unworldly Abomination to preserve his life. As for what Xuanzang is thinking now, we too do not know."
Finally it was clear to Wu Yu.
Finally the truth, free of Xuanzang’s wool-spinning!
Xuanzang himself was the traitor, and he would not have told the truth to Wu Yu.
He had treated Wu Yu kindly so far, toying with him and using him.
He had used the three bodhisattvas which Wu Yu had helped him obtain to open Sumeru World, successfully linking Heavenly Domain to Heavenly Buddha’s Domain and plunging both into chaos and darkness.
Xuanzang seemed to be devoid of any goodness at all, while the Jade Emperor was only a puppet.
"It’s very likely that Xuanzang is but a vessel of the Unworldly Abomination. It’s also possible that Xuanzang is trying to accomplish something while the Unworldly Abomination sleeps. Nobody knows."
Guanyin Pusa said calmly: "He has no plans to repair the World Core. He only wants chaos....."
Ultimately, his agenda was still a question mark.
Wu Yu reeled, uncertain of what to make of this information.
It seemed like there was no one he could trust from Heavenly Buddha’s Domain.
And in the Heavenly Domain, the elders were all puppets of the Unworldly Abomination, a fragment of its will, and not actual immortal emperors.
Only those like Wu Yu, Luo Pin, and other new immortal emperors like Wu Jun were real immortal emperors.
Which meant that the whole of Heavenly Domain had long perished.....
It was a cold and lonely truth.
Wu Yu wanted to change it all.
He just wanted to restore the peace and quiet in the immortal domains.
But all of it needed him to be strong!
He could not stand against Xuanzang, and so could only work with Guanyin Pusa for now.
At least for now, Xuanzang’s invasion had to be stopped.
Even if many of the immortal emperors in the sky palaces were already long-dead puppets of that Unworldly Abomination, there were many more mortals and ordinary immortals who were truly alive.
They were the product of flesh and blood and spiritual essence!
"If I am to stop Xuanzang, there is only one way. I have to destroy the Sumeru Passage."
Guanyin Pusa said. "Wu Yu, you can lead us into Sumeru World with the Ruyi Jingu Bang. Once within, we can find the Sumeru Passage that Xuanzang has opened, and destroy it."
"Understood."
Wu Yu nodded gravely.
The responsibility on him weighed heavy. He not only had to take revenge for the Demon Immortal Realm ancestors and Great Sage, Heaven’s Equal now. He had to save all life on two immortal domains!
Wu Yu gripped the Ruyi Jingu Bang tightly, activating its sixth tier of powers, Sumeru Passage.
A bizarre vortex appeared in front of him, leading to Sumeru World.
