Li Wei answered truthfully.
The Saint Dragon King thought for a moment, his gaze turning grim. "If that’s truly the case, then the reason for the Sea God’s disappearance is likely related to the gods."
Li Wei said, "The gods killed the Sea God?"
The Saint Dragon King shook his head. "I don’t know. Not necessarily the current gods. As far as I know, the current gods of the Sky Dome World only arrived here a little over ten thousand years ago. Before that, there seemed to be no trace of any Divine Spirits in the Sky Dome World."
"The Sea God existed a hundred thousand, or even a million, years ago. The gods had not yet come to the Sky Dome World at that time..."

"For as long as I can remember, the Dragon God has always existed. I’ve never heard that he came from the outside world."
"The Elf God and the Beast God were also most likely Primordial Deities. The eras in which they became gods far predate the arrival of the other gods in the Sky Dome World."
Li Wei lowered his head in thought. After racking his brain, he came up with a possibility.

’But why would the gods do this?’

"If the gods’ goal is to kill all the Primordial Deities of the Sky Dome World, then their next target must be the Magic Goddess, Mistral."
Li Wei blurted out his guess.
Hearing this, the Saint Dragon King said grimly, "According to your theory, if the gods are trying to eliminate all the Primordial Deities of the Sky Dome World for some reason, then I think I might know something."
Li Wei quickly looked at him and asked, "What is it?"
The Saint Dragon King said, "I reached the Demigod Perfection Realm long ago. I am even just one step away from condensing a Divine Format."
"However, I feel a sense of inexplicable dread that keeps me from taking that final step. It’s as if the day I condense my Divine Format and become a god will be the day I die."
"If your guess is correct, then the gods must be preventing new Divine Spirits from being born in the Sky Dome World."

He thought for a moment, then said, "Then we have even more reason not to let the gods assassinate the Magic Goddess. She might be the last Primordial Deity in the Sky Dome World right now."
"When did you start feeling this shackle from the gods?"
The Saint Dragon King replied, "About six hundred years ago."
Li Wei said, "Six hundred years ago... The Magic Goddess also ascended to godhood several hundred years ago. This means she must have felt that shackle too, but she broke through it. She broke through the gods’ obstruction and became a Divine Spirit."

The Saint Dragon King nodded. "Step back. You can’t use Divine Power against a Divine Abomination. Leave the fighting to me."
Li Wei nodded. "Alright."
He retreated a fair distance, leaving the battlefield to the Saint Dragon King.
The Saint Dragon King, relying on his own powerful physique, was also capable of battling Divine Spirits.
Such was the power of a Holy Giant Dragon in its Peak Stage.
With a beat of his wings, the Saint Dragon King stirred up all the sand and silt from the seabed.
The current swept all the sediment away.
