Chapter 483: Chapter 326: Lady Lord Su Qin (3)
He stepped into the bathtub.
The tub was large, big enough for 2 people.
Zhao Chi had grown accustomed to the Carefree Spring, so this felt a bit cramped.
But its small size also made it a truly private space just for him and Su Qin.
Su Qin gently began to wash him.
It was less of a washing and more of a caress.
Zhao Chi didn’t move, letting her explore freely.
Su Qin had been full of righteous anger earlier, but now her confidence had completely collapsed.
The shyness of a young woman washed over her.
Her entire body was flushed red.
Her cheeks and neck, in particular, were beet red with bashfulness.
Zhao Chi watched her with great interest. Su Qin was too embarrassed to even look up, simply focusing on washing him thoroughly clean.
The bath finally came to an end.
The two of them returned to the bedroom.
"Wait a moment."
Su Qin hurried over to a nearby cabinet and pulled out a brand-new bedsheet.
Zhao Chi said, "You don’t need to change the sheets. They’ll just get dirty in a little while."
Su Qin unfolded the sheet.
It was a festive red sheet embroidered with mandarin ducks.
"So what if they get dirty? Look, they have mandarin ducks on them. This is for us."
Then Su Qin brought out two pillows and a double comforter.
They were all new, embroidered with either dragons and phoenixes or mandarin ducks.
It was a complete set of wedding bedding.
Su Qin quickly cleared the old pillows and comforter from the bed and neatly laid out the new set.
Then she sat down gently on it.
"Don’t just stand there, come on."
Zhao Chi nodded and walked over.
Su Qin had no idea how the time that followed passed by.
Although she had been determined to take the lead, somehow, Zhao Chi ended up leading everything in the end.
She wanted to sit up, but her body felt weak and pliant, with no strength left.
In the end, it was all finished under Zhao Chi’s lead.
Su Qin lay with her eyes closed for a moment, then propped herself up on her arms.
She looked at Zhao Chi, a little surprised. "You didn’t pull out?"
Zhao Chi froze, not understanding for a second.
But then, as if a switch flipped in his mind, he suddenly remembered: Su Qin was just an Ordinary woman.
She didn’t have the same kind of Ability as Gu Qing and the others.
She couldn’t convert it into Energy.
This way... she could get pregnant...
He’d gotten so used to how things were with Gu Qing and the others that he had completely forgotten about this possibility.
So he hadn’t given it a second thought.
Still, it was probably fine.
After all, his 2 points of Genetics for the day had been completely absorbed by Gu Qing and the others at dawn; he had none left now.
’So... it should be fine, right?’
Even as he reasoned this, Zhao Chi couldn’t be sure.
’Are Genetics a prerequisite for pregnancy?’
’If there are no Genetics, does that mean no pregnancy?’
Seeing Zhao Chi’s solemn expression, Su Qin comforted him in a gentle voice, "It’s okay, Zhao Chi. I won’t necessarily get pregnant on the first try. And even if I do, if you don’t want it, I can get rid of it. You don’t have to worry."
Zhao Chi said, "It’s just that this is still the accumulation period. If we have a child..."
Su Qin said gently, "You don’t need to explain. I’ll listen to whatever you say. Just tell me what to do."
"Okay." Zhao Chi didn’t say any more.
Su Qin propped her body up, the blush still lingering on her face.
"You’re way too good at this, aren’t you? I almost couldn’t take it several times before you even came inside. To be this skilled, how many women do you have in your territory?"
"...Three."
"Only three? Are you lying to me? I see your territory is full of women, and they’re all very beautiful."
"It really is just three."
"Then am I the fourth?"
"Mhm."
"Oh... hehe."
"What are you giggling about?"
"Nothing, hehe. Hmph! WAAAH—"
"Why are you crying again?"
"Just hold me."
Zhao Chi sighed and pulled her into an embrace.
Su Qin cried for a while, then became happy again.
She looked at Zhao Chi cautiously. "You don’t find me annoying, do you? I’m just so happy that I’m crying and laughing at the same time."
Zhao Chi shook his head. "No, I don’t. I know."
"That’s good. I’ll be back to my normal, stable self tomorrow."
"Mhm, I’ll go speak to the Clan Leader about us in a little while."
Su Qin nodded happily. "Okay!"
But she quickly added a warning, "But don’t hold any kind of ceremony. I don’t need any of that superficial stuff. Besides, our village is in a bad spot right now. With that Alien Race around, it’s not a good time for any ceremonies. All I need is for you to give me a little piece of your heart."
Zhao Chi thought about it. What she said made sense.
He nodded. "Don’t worry. That last part, I can definitely do."
Su Qin gave a radiant smile. "I believe you."
The two of them cuddled for a while longer.
Su Qin sat up. "Let’s go wash up, and then we can eat. The food’s gotten cold, I’ll go heat it up in a bit."
Zhao Chi waved his hand. "It’s fine. Cold is okay. My Inner Heart is fiery right now."
Su Qin chided him playfully, "Wouldn’t it have been nice if you were like this earlier? Instead, you made me get angry with you. I’m going to go drain the bathwater. I’ll be back to get you in a moment."
"Mhm, okay."
After washing up, they sat at the dinner table.
Su Qin poured Zhao Chi a full cup of wine.
Then, beaming with joy, she raised her cup. "I don’t need a ceremony, but we still have to drink the cross-cupped wine. Come on!"
Zhao Chi raised his cup, and they both drained them in one go.
Zhao Chi wasn’t much of a drinker and couldn’t tell good wine from bad, but he could feel that this one wasn’t harsh. It had a light, fragrant aroma, a pleasant texture and taste, and wasn’t too strong.
Su Qin, however, was brought to tears by the spiciness, patting her chest lightly.
They ate and chatted. After all, they had grown up in the same environment; you could even say they were childhood sweethearts. They had plenty to talk about.
But Su Qin kept staring at Zhao Chi, making him a little uncomfortable.
"You should eat more, too. Why do you keep staring at me?"
"What’s wrong? Can’t I look at my own man?"
