Chapter 436 - 310: Four-Way Melee (11)
Chapter 436: Chapter 310: Four-Way Melee (11)
If Iwagaki summoned Werewolves one more time and brought over the other Wolf Race Lords, they would be completely doomed. Zhao Chi couldn’t afford to take that gamble. His life wasn’t some worthless, expendable thing. Quite the opposite—he possessed a Hidden Talent with incredibly powerful Effects, not to mention the currently formidable Peach Blossom Human Race. As long as he had Time, he could have anything. There was no need to take such a massive risk for immediate gains. Killing Iwagaki as quickly as possible was the optimal solution.
The same applied to Xiao Ning. He couldn’t leave her alive; he had to finish her off soon. After all, besides Iwagaki, she still had Gu Ting and other Alien Race Lords under her command. She hadn’t summoned them yet. Zhao Chi wasn’t sure if that was due to a cooldown Time or a quantity limit. Regardless, he had to kill her immediately. There was no other choice.
Blades flashed brightly. Iwagaki’s massive wolf jaws hung open, but he could no longer make a sound. He had given up. At this point, a trace of confusion actually flickered in his reddish-brown wolf eyes. Everything had happened so fast over the past 1 minute. He was still in a daze, as if none of this was True. But it was all over.
BOOM!
The explosion was deafening yet muffled. Zhao Chi had never found the sound of an explosion so melodic. He was finally dead! Finally dead!!! That damn Iwagaki had been Truly fucking hard to kill.
In theory, though, he shouldn’t have been this difficult to put down. The same went for those Werewolves. They shouldn’t have been this resilient. They must have undergone some sort of Genetic Improvement or possessed Special Skills that provided massive Damage Immunity. But there was no way to know for sure now.
The other three women also breathed a sigh of relief. Immense joy appeared on their faces. Although they were splattered with foul-smelling, pulverized wolf flesh, none of them cared. Tang Ruan, in particular, was covered head to toe in gore, looking utterly filthy. Yet, they were all smiling.
"Now isn’t the Time to relax," Zhao Chi sighed. "Hurry up and help the Female Soldiers finish off the Werewolves, then kill Xiao Ning directly. Leave no one alive."
"Understood!" Gu Qing felt a little dizzy. Her bodily fluids had been heavily drained, and her Spiritual Power was completely depleted.
Panting heavily, Qi Yue didn’t even have Time to wipe the wolf gore off her body before diving straight into the Female Soldiers’ fray. Tang Ruan expended her last bit of Spiritual Power, using her Taunt Skill to draw the aggro of a group of Werewolves. With the addition of the three Female Heroes, the Werewolves were quickly wiped out. Everyone was gasping for breath, but they didn’t stop. They pivoted immediately, charging straight toward the dumbfounded Xiao Ning and her over one hundred Tier Three Soldiers.
Xiao Ning was utterly stunned. She couldn’t accept this reality. She knew full well exactly how powerful Iwagaki and those Werewolf Soldiers were. But... they just died like that? Just fucking died like that? Iwagaki was dead, too? That was impossible, right? Xiao Ning didn’t dare to believe it. But seeing the Female Soldiers charging at her, she had no choice but to believe it. Faced with Big Sabers and Long Spears, she raised her two Wolf Claws and begged for mercy incessantly.
"Don’t attack yet! Listen to me! Zhao Chi and I are allies! I’m his superior Lord, and he’s my Vassal Lord. I am the superior of your superior! You can’t attack me! You have to listen to me, do you understand?"
Even at a Time like this, Xiao Ning was still clinging to her Identity. If she knew that this exact mindset was what was going to get her killed, one could only wonder how she would feel.
None of the Female Soldiers paid her any heed; they poured their full attention into attacking Xiao Ning’s Tier Three Legion Soldiers. Just moments ago, they had thought these Legion Soldiers were Truly tough to fight and Truly resilient. But after fighting the Werewolves, they finally understood what True toughness and True resilience looked like. These Legion Soldiers were way too easy to kill!
The Legion Soldiers had already lost all ability to resist. Naturally, they had seen everything that just transpired. If even an Alien Race Lord and Alien Race Soldiers couldn’t defeat these Female Soldiers, what were they supposed to use to fight back? The Morale of these Tier Three Legion Soldiers collapsed entirely. Their formation completely routed. Attacking them now was easier than ever.
Xiao Ning was still begging for mercy. Her wolf eyes were filled with panic, completely stripped of her former arrogance and domineering attitude.
Zhao Chi genuinely wanted to spare her. He Truly wanted to take her captive. After all, he still wanted to extort information from her and pillage the Supplies from her System Space. But he didn’t dare. He Truly didn’t dare. He couldn’t afford to take the gamble.
In this short amount of Time, the Zhao Chi Army had fought three consecutive battles. And each one was harder than the last. Gu Qing’s bodily fluids were completely depleted; she had just chugged a bellyful of water, but it hadn’t converted yet. Tang Ruan’s Energy and Spiritual Power were both drained dry. She was only running on sheer willpower now, her Body visibly trembling. Qi Yue’s Physical Strength and Spiritual Power were equally exhausted. Sleepy and fatigued, her arms could barely hold onto her blade. As for the Female Soldiers... they were in similarly wretched states. Their Armor and Shields had been smashed to pieces, and they had suffered casualties.
They Truly couldn’t fight anymore. There could be no mistakes. They couldn’t afford a single mishap.
"Kill them. Kill them all," Zhao Chi ordered helplessly.
A few minutes later, the battle was over. There were no unexpected mishaps. The only thing that surprised Zhao Chi was that he had assumed Xiao Ning would be as tanky as those Werewolves, but she died from a single slash... Perhaps what she meant by her "incomplete evolution" referred to this lack of Ability? Zhao Chi didn’t know, but it didn’t matter anymore.
There were still a few captives with broken legs... They probably didn’t have anything good on them. Although they likely didn’t have the Ability to summon Werewolves, just in case... Kill them all. Leave no survivors. Since Iwagaki and Xiao Ning had both been killed anyway, there was no point in leaving behind potential disasters in the form of these small fries. The battle was completely over.
But they couldn’t rest yet. The Boundary Lock’s Time was limited; there was only 1 hour left. They had to completely pillage Xiao Ning’s territory within this timeframe. Otherwise, once the Boundary Lock expired, other Alien Race Lords would be able to enter. It was also impossible for Zhao Chi to use another Boundary Lock. After all, the Boundary Lock also sealed off his own territory. If Zhao Chi didn’t appear for an extended period, he was worried that those Alien Races would notice something amiss.
In fact, Zhao Chi already felt that 2 hours was a bit too long. But it was fine; fighting for over 2 hours could still be considered normal. Furthermore, his own Combat Power stat was so abysmal that even if someone suspected him, they would quickly dismiss the thought. After all, how could a Zhao Chi with 230 Combat Power possibly kill a Xiao Ning with over 2,000 Combat Power? And Iwagaki was far stronger than Xiao Ning. Their deaths would absolutely never be linked to Zhao Chi. It was like a fierce tiger being slain. People would suspect a burly hunter; they would never suspect a young little girl.
As for Huang Bian’s territory from earlier, that could wait until later. Huang Bian was Zhao Chi’s regularly matched opponent, so Zhao Neng could openly and thoroughly pillage his territory at his own pace.
Dawn broke.
The clouds quickly dissipated. The sun revealed its brilliant rays once more, bathing the earth in sunlight. The surroundings were still a lush, vibrant green, brimming with vitality. It was as if the battle just now had never happened.
