"Whoosh!"
Inside the cabin, a magic array appeared.
Fang Heng stepped out from the magic array and slightly frowned.
What was going on? Why was it so noisy outside?
After walking out of the cabin to check, he saw that the port was already surrounded layer upon layer by soldiers of the Oz Empire.
Fang Heng looked at Cao Ge on the deck and asked, "What happened?"
"No idea."
Cao Ge had been exhausted all day and had just gone offline to rest. He had not even fallen asleep before being summoned back. "It was the military department of the Oz Empire. They surrounded us not long ago and haven’t made any other moves yet."
Fang Heng found it strange.
Had the Oz Empire gone mad? Were they going to turn on him?
"Let’s go down and take a look."
Fang Heng brought the others down from the merchant ship.
At the port, an imperial officer stepped forward and saluted Fang Heng. "Mr. Fang Heng, I am Commander Anders of the Oz Empire."
"What does this mean at such a late hour?"
"Apologies, this is an order from His Majesty." Anders took out a letter and handed it to Fang Heng. "This is a letter from Princess Willow. Please read it."
Fang Heng took the letter from Anders and quickly read through it before passing it to Cao Ge.
The letter stated that the Sea God Island had been furious over the death of a god servant and had sent a delegation to the Oz Empire to demand an explanation.
Since the Oz Empire did not wish to directly oppose the Sea God Island, they hoped he would temporarily go into hiding.
Publicly, the Oz Empire would declare that Fang Heng’s merchant company had been removed from the empire.
Fang Heng smiled. "It seems the empire does not fully trust me."
"Please understand."
Cao Ge finished reading the letter and sighed.
He could understand it.
In the Black Sea World, the terror of Sea God Island was deeply ingrained in every native’s mind.
If he had not known Fang Heng’s strength, he would have made the same decision.
Fang Heng shrugged.
In truth, he did not care. He was more concerned about obtaining high-level god statues.
"Where is Princess Willow?"
"I am very sorry, Her Highness is currently unable to leave the palace." Anders replied. "We will take you to a safe place for temporary shelter. Her Highness asked me to inform you that she will fulfill her promise. Tomorrow afternoon, we will bring you to meet an elder."
"Alright."
Fang Heng nodded and followed Anders away.
In the shadows of the distant harbor, several figures were watching his every move.
Elliot said, "Fang Heng has been taken away by the military department. You all report back to the Duke immediately. I will follow them."
"Yes!"
The Duke Windy had other plans for Fang Heng.
Perhaps Fang Heng truly had some talent in alchemy.
But could he really persuade Princess Willow to go this far for him?
No.
He must have used some method to affect the princess’s mind.
Perhaps Fang Heng could be handed over to Sea God Island to ease tensions between the empire and Sea God Island.
...
At noon the next day, above the sea.
Hundreds of warships sailed at full speed toward the Oz Empire.
Sea God Island had been shocked by Tina’s death.
For many years, she had been the first god servant to die unexpectedly outside.
The Oz Empire?
Such a small empire actually possessed such strength?
They also suspected that this incident was related to divine authority.
As a precaution, Sea God Island dispatched three god servants to capture Fang Heng.
In truth, they did not understand Fang Heng’s real strength.
Their knowledge of him was limited to information exchanges between Tina, High Priest Sawyer, and the main island.
"My Lord, we have contacted the Oz Empire. They claim Fang Heng was once part of their merchant association, but recently left the empire. They do not know his current whereabouts and have severed all ties with him."
"Mm." Tobias nodded slightly. "Enter the port first."
"Yes!"
At the port, Duke Windy personally led the imperial officials to welcome them.
"Greetings, god servants of Sea God Island."
Tobias asked coldly, "Where is Fang Heng?"
"He left three days ago and has not returned. We assure you, the Oz Empire had no involvement in this matter. The death of the god servant has nothing to do with us."
Tobias’ tone grew colder, "Do you think ignorance will absolve you?"
"We deeply apologize. The Oz Empire is willing to compensate."
The Duke Windy had prepared his response in advance.
They intended to use compensation to resolve the matter.
They only hoped Sea God Island would not demand too much.
"Hmph."
Tobias snorted. "Compensation can wait. First, we will search the Oz Empire to confirm there are no traces of Fang Heng or any heretics from Sea God Island. Do you object?"
"We will fully cooperate."
Tobias waved his hand and ordered his men to seal the port, then closed his eyes to sense the surroundings.
He did not detect any strong divine power within the Oz Empire.
"We have arranged accommodations for the god servant. Please follow me."
...
Meanwhile, Fang Heng, escorted by imperial guards, entered a wooden house on the outskirts.
The elder arranged to meet him, and Princess Willow was already waiting.
"According to what you described, your internal power conflicted with divine power, preventing you from binding a god statue."
The elder studied him in silence for a moment.
Fang Heng said, "Senior, please speak directly."
"I am afraid the problem is not with the gods."
"What do you mean?"
The elder adjusted his thick glasses and took a yellowed book from the shelf behind him. "I judge that your power has already reached the legendary level of gods."
"When two god-level powers conflict, they cannot be used simultaneously. For example, conflicting divine forces cannot coexist."
"From your description, the power within you is extremely domineering and cannot be integrated with other beliefs."
Fang Heng’s eyes narrowed slightly.
The elder continued, "I suggest you consider establishing your own god statue."
"Using your power as the source, create a belief system and form a divine statue of your own."
Fang Heng’s pupils contracted.
Self-created god statue?
Was there such a concept?
The elder explained, "It is extremely difficult, but not impossible. Princess Willow told me your strength is exceptional. I would not have considered this possibility."
System prompts quickly flashed across Fang Heng’s vision.
