Chapter 876 - 458: Overlord Level Wizard Civilization - Ruins Market Advancing to Fifth Rank
Seeing this, Song Chi certainly wouldn’t obstruct; instead, a sizable sense of anticipation arose within his heart.
With the augmentation of his Power of Domination and Double Pupils, he easily discerned that the stranger cultivated Magic Energy, and had even mastered the Power of Laws.
Just this point alone was enough to reveal the person’s extraordinariness. Seeing the hurried way he left, it seemed as if someone was waiting for him outside the Space Gate and that this visit was merely a scouting expedition.
If this was indeed the case, then it further indicated that the force behind this individual was anything but simple. To have a talent of the Third Rank who had already realized the Law coming for reconnaissance, such generosity wasn’t something an ordinary force could afford.
However, the Shattered Starry Sea was too vast and there were many civilizations within that followed the supernatural system of Magic Energy; thus, based solely on this, it was impossible to deduce which Starry Sea Civilization the stranger belonged to.
Waiting is often the most tormenting, and after a full half hour, the Space Gate was disturbed once more. Only this time, when it opened, not one but dozens of people stepped out.
Scanning these newcomers, Song Chi’s gaze sharpened; he finally ascertained their identity.
Yet this recognition brought him not joy but the first instance of concern since he advanced to Fourth Rank within the Ruins Market.
Wizards!
That’s right, these newcomers, Third and Fourth Rank individuals of the Human Race, were a group of Wizards.
The reason he could so swiftly confirm their identity was not only because of their Magic Energy. Many of them held special Magic Wands as well.
However, this alone was not enough. Others who possessed these two characteristics could also be Mages, Magicians, etc.
What truly confirmed their identity for Song Chi were the myriad Alchemy Creatures and Enslaved Species they brought with them.
But therein lay the problem. If they were Wizards, then the Wizard Civilization surely stood behind them.
That was the source of Song Chi’s concern.
He was all too familiar with the Wizard Civilization. Within the official compendium of Starry Sea Civilizations published by Torch Humanity, the Wizard Civilization was ranked among the top ten Overlord Level Civilizations, more powerful than the Tri-Eye and Angel Races. Rumors told of their control over more than five river system communities, making them one of the strongest known forces within the Starry Sea.
In such a civilization, the number of Dominator Creatures far outnumbered those within Torch Humanity, not to mention the presence of beings of Eighth and Ninth Rank, the grand existences of the Starry Sea.
If the Zhu Tian Ruins Market came under the scrutiny of such beings, the risks were self-evident.
However, Song Chi was torn because, being so immensely powerful, the treasures that the Wizard Civilization could offer would surely far exceed those of other civilizations. If he could secure such a customer, the Zhu Tian Ruins Market would benefit greatly in the future.
After much contemplation, Song Chi still chose not to intervene.
According to his usual disposition, his first thought was to drive these Wizards away directly and to shut the Space Gate leading to the territory of the Wizard Civilization himself. But then, a new thought suddenly occurred to him.
The Zhu Tian Ruins Market was about to advance again!
Once this trade at the Ruins Market concluded, it would initiate the upgrade to Fifth Rank. Once the upgrade was successful, his Dominion Position within the market would be enhanced. With that premise, even if an Eighth or Ninth Rank True Spirit Wizard of the Wizard Civilization took action, he remained confident in fending them off.
He even believed that, if a Ninth Rank Wizard appeared, he could sever their perception before they could pinpoint the coordinates of the Zhu Tian Ruins Market, retrieving the Ruins Market Token or the identities of Divine Country Players, and the like.
With this thought, he didn’t take any action.
Soon, as these dozens of Wizards joined the fray, the free stall area bustled even more.
Yet Song Chi didn’t pay too much heed to this commotion, instead focusing most of his attention on one of the Fourth Rank Wizards.
The intensity of the Power of Laws within this Wizard’s body had already reached an Intermediate Achievement level, even surpassing his own Space Law. Song Chi could assert that this Wizard’s identity was no ordinary one.
As expected, accompanied by a few Fourth Rank Wizards, he directly approached the Oddity Exchange Shop.
The corners of Song Chi’s mouth uplifted, displaying a smile hidden from outsiders.
Even this Fourth Rank Wizard of significant status revealed an unmistakable look of shock and eagerness upon setting eyes on the dozen-plus Silver Legendary Oddities and two Golden Sanctuary Wondrous Oddities within the Oddity Exchange Shop.
Clearly, even with his status, it was quite rare to see so many Gold and Silver Strange Objects at once.
Song Chi could see that after laying eyes on these high-Quality Strange Objects, the Fourth Rank Wizard’s gaze filled with much more respect.
In his opinion, anyone who could present so many high-Quality Strange Objects, and thus was the owner of the market behind the scenes, must be incredibly powerful.
At this moment, he harbored no doubt about the Dominion Position that Song Chi had set for himself, which was precisely what Song Chi wanted to see.
If the Ruins Market could maintain a positive trading relationship without the other party testing it out or harboring apprehensions until Song Chi had sufficient confidence after the market advanced to Fifth Rank, it would be even better.
When the Fourth Rank Wizard turned back around, his gaze naturally landed on the “Di Man Race Blood Puppet,” a Golden Sanctuary Wondrous Oddity.
The Wizard Civilization was not only known for their large-scale Enslavement of creatures in warfare but also for their signature Alchemy Puppets. This “Di Man Race Blood Puppet,” transformed from the body of a Dominion Level Barbarian God, was excellent material for an Alchemy Puppet. If handled correctly, it could potentially be turned into a genuine Dominion Level puppet.
