Chapter 517: Chapter 327: Traces of the Ninth Level Dragon Clan Bloodline Beast King; Dwarf Cavalry Corps—Wild Boar Knights
"By the name of the Wind Elves, your right to flight is revoked!"
A web of cyan light formed beneath the Rock-winged Flying Dragons. The Legion Skill they cast expelled all Wind Elements from the area, along with the air itself.
All Wind Elements within range were forcibly extracted.
The Rock-winged Flying Dragons discovered in horror that the air around them had suddenly become incredibly viscous.
No matter how they flapped their wings, they could not continue to ascend.
Worse, they gradually found they could not even maintain level flight.
Their bodies felt as if they had entered a Land of No Wind, and they began to fall rapidly toward the ground.
"No!"
The leader of the Rock-winged Flying Dragons let out an indignant roar.
Its body began to fall uncontrollably.
The other Rock-winged Flying Dragons also plummeted one after another.
Some Rock-winged Flying Dragons did their best, spreading their wings wide to try and glide for some distance.
But in the windless environment, even gliding became difficult.
"One final assault! Capture these Rock-winged Flying Dragons. Take them alive if you can, but kill them if you must. Just make sure to preserve as much of their blood as possible."
Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps Commander William gave the order.
When the one thousand Elf Griffin Cavalry joined forces with the other two thousand,
the remaining Rock-winged Flying Dragons could no longer withstand the assault.
The battle ended swiftly within the next ten minutes.
Of the one hundred and five Rock-winged Flying Dragons,
twenty-seven were killed, thirty-eight were heavily wounded, and the remaining thirty-nine were lightly wounded.
As for the Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps, they suffered fifty casualties.
However, after receiving treatment, more than twenty of them were able to continue fighting.
The other twenty-odd who had been hit head-on by Dragon Breath needed to be transported back to the Divine Realm for treatment.
But after their treatment, it was estimated they would have a chance to return to the corps.
"Clean up the battlefield."
William landed next to the captured leader of the Rock-winged Flying Dragons.
Seeing its restrained but defiant gaze, William simply ignored it.
’Besides collecting the Dragon Blood My God requires, I need to transport the living Rock-winged Flying Dragons back to the Divine Realm and hatch those two Elf Dragon eggs as soon as possible.’
While cleaning the battlefield,
Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps Commander William also used a dagger to pry open the head of a dead Rock-winged Flying Dragon, retrieving a fist-sized, earth-yellow crystal from within.
This was the Rock-winged Flying Dragon’s Energy core.
"The quality of this Dragon Crystal isn’t bad. It can be used to forge a piece of Upper Class Quality Armor."
Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps Commander William placed this Dragon Crystal into his own storage accessory.
The three-thousand-strong Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps split off two thousand to escort the living Rock-winged Flying Dragons back to the Divine Realm.
The remaining one thousand Elf Griffin Cavalry began to expertly clean the battlefield.
Intact wing membranes were stripped off, useful parts were removed and preserved, and all the Dragon Blood was collected in Crystal Bottles.
Soon, a pile of spoils five or six meters high was stacked at the foot of the valley.
But the real surprise was actually still in the Rock-winged Flying Dragons’ nest.
Having inherited Giant Dragon blood, the Rock-winged Flying Dragons also retained the Dragon Clan’s habit of hoarding precious treasures.
In the Rock-winged Flying Dragons’ nest, under the leadership of Legion Commander William,
the Elf Griffin Cavalry successfully discovered Dragon Scales that the Rock-winged Flying Dragons had shed before their metamorphosis;
Magic Crystals of the Earth Attribute, Fire Attribute, and Water Attribute;
glowing Ore;
and over a dozen Dragon Scales that were clearly different in size from those of the Rock-winged Flying Dragons.
A single one of these leftover Dragon Scales was as large as five of the Rock-winged Flying Dragons’ own.
These scales were a deep, dark black. A single scale was as large as a person’s head, its edges as sharp as knives, and it emanated a cold sensation.
"This is..."
Legion Commander William carefully picked up a Dragon Scale, sensing the Magic Power within.
"These must be scales left behind by a Giant Beast with Black Dragon Bloodline."
"The Dragon Blood concentration is at least 30%!"
Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps Commander William said excitedly.
’I never thought that killing this flock of Rock-winged Flying Dragons would also lead to clues about other Giant Beasts with Dragon Clan blood!’
However, after calming down and thinking it over, Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps Commander William no longer found it strange.
’Black Dragons excel at Strong Acid Breath. If a Giant Beast with Black Dragon Bloodline mated with a Rock-winged Flying Dragon, it’s no wonder their offspring’s breath would have a corrosive Effect.’
Right now, Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps Commander William’s only thought was to report this good news to My God.
However, while preparing to return,
Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps Commander William also dispatched several squads of his freshest Elf Griffin Cavalry to expand the Reconnaissance area.
They were to search for any other potential Giant Beasts with Dragon Clan blood.
Meanwhile, as the Elf Griffin Cavalry Corps made its way back,
the other students were also making their own gains.
Lu Mei and Hong Tianyi’s joint operation to encircle and annihilate the swarm of Iron Armor Beetles in the Mushroom Forest was proceeding smoothly.
With air support from the one-thousand-strong Sunbird Clan Army,
the one thousand Dragon Descendant Dogman Warriors had already killed over fifteen hundred Iron Armor Beetles.
They had seized a large quantity of carapaces and Insect Clan cores.
Zhou Zongcheng’s Amphibian Frogman Clan had gone so far as to capture all of the Jade Light Water Snakes.
Among them, two of the Jade Light Water Snakes had reached Seventh Level Peak.
And during the battle, solidified Water Element Crystals were also discovered at the bottom of the river.
These items were also quite valuable.
According to the list issued by the University Alliance Training Camp, it was estimated they could be exchanged for around thirty thousand Points.
Only Zhao Wenjie’s dispatched Minotaur Clan Corps had run into a bit of trouble.
The Molten Fire Ants’ nest was more complex than Zhao Wenjie had imagined.
The underground tunnels branched in all directions, and the Molten Fire Ants’ resistance was fierce and fearless, slowing their progress.
