Chapter 850 - 564: The Slumbering "Ancestral Dragon" and Alliance Matters

Chapter 850: Chapter 564: The Slumbering "Ancestral Dragon" and Alliance Matters

This was the Giant Dragon Realm.

An "egg" meticulously nurtured by the World Barrier.

Raylo’s mind reeled. This was his first time looking down upon an entire world from such a brand-new perspective.

"Every world is an isolated island in the Void Ocean." Austin Sage’s voice sounded beside him, tinged with a hint of ancient weariness.

Raylo withdrew his gaze, took a deep breath, and forcefully suppressed the tumultuous emotions in his heart. He cast his sight into the distance.

Without the obstruction and distortion of the World Barrier, the truth of the "two Suns in the sky" was revealed before him without reservation.

Those were not Suns at all!

On the left, a white Sun hung in the void. Above it, a Giant Dragon phantom, as massive as a mountain range, coiled within the light. It seemed to be slumbering, its streamlined dragon body stretching out with folded wings. Even though it was merely a phantom, that majestic aura—which seemed to share the exact same origin as the entire world—still made Raylo feel a sense of profound insignificance and awe from the depths of his soul, despite his recent ascension to the Catastrophe Level.

This radiance illuminated the Giant Dragon Realm, nourishing all living things. It was the source of this world’s Life Force.

Far to the right, however, was a completely different scene.

A golden "Sun" emanated an overbearing, scorching light filled with the desire for aggression and conquest. Deep within that golden light, it wasn’t a true Sun, but rather the phantom of a towering, divine palace constructed from majestic Holy Light!

The Light Deity!

The two completely different radiances remained sharply distinct in the void, fiercely colliding, devouring, and dissolving each other. At the boundary of their clash, billions of turbulent, fragmented energy streams erupted, churning that area of the void into absolute chaos.

The "temporary balance of plunder and devouring" that Austin Sage had mentioned earlier was now a shocking sight to behold.

"So... this is the truth," Raylo muttered to himself, his voice somewhat dry. The Light Deity was gnawing on a living world!

He even had a spine-chilling premonition: if the Mage City and the Red Dragon Empire hadn’t risen up in resistance, would his own homeland eventually end up like this? Would it one day be shrouded by another "Sun" in the void until it was completely devoured?

"The Giant Dragon Realm is clearly a tough nut to crack. The supreme powerhouses birthed by this world are guarding their world’s Sun, halting the Light Deity’s advance. This war has likely been raging on for a very long time." Raylo gathered his thoughts and asked, "Sage, where are we heading first?"

In the face of such a Divine Level battlefield, even a Catastrophe Level existence had to tread with extreme caution.

Austin Sage retracted his gaze from the golden Sun. "To handle official business first," he said. "Our most important mission in coming here is to make contact and form an alliance with the masters of this world."

With that, Austin Sage lingered no longer. With a flick of his sleeve, a gentle Power enveloped Raylo. Their figures transformed into an insignificant streak of light in the void, flying straight toward the white Sun where the Giant Dragon phantom slumbered.

The void was boundless. Without points of reference, there was no sense of distance. That white "Sun," radiating a soft glow, seemed close at hand, but it was actually worlds away.

Even with a World Destruction Level existence like Austin Sage carrying Raylo through the void at astonishing speeds, it still took several hours to just barely reach the vicinity of the white Sun.

The closer they got, the more Raylo could feel just how vast and majestic the energy emanating from the white Sun truly was. It felt like a warm mother’s womb, nourishing the massive world behind it.

Just as the two were about to enter the core halo of the white Sun, a deafening HUM resonated. A terrifying pressure suddenly descended, like billions of tons of seawater crashing down upon their heads! The void itself seemed to freeze under this aura.

Raylo’s pupils contracted sharply. In that instant, his own Power felt like a trickling stream crashing into a vast ocean, instantly suppressed to a near standstill.

He snapped his head up. Not far ahead, upon a massive, floating Meteorite, a figure slowly emerged.

It was a Giant Dragon.

Thick purple Thunderbolts wrapped around its ferocious, ten-thousand-meter-long body like chains. With every flicker, they tore shocking rifts into the dark void. Its imposing Dragon Horns looked as though they were carved from amethyst. Its eyes were pure whirlpools of Thunderbolts, and just being swept by that gaze made Raylo feel a faint, stinging pain in his soul.

World Destruction Level!

Before Raylo could react, Austin Sage stepped forward, shielding him. An equally vast yet gentle Spiritual Power radiated from the Sage, forming an invisible barrier that kept the furious pressure at bay.

"We harbor no ill intent." Austin Sage’s voice transformed into spiritual ripples that echoed through the void. "We are visitors from an Otherworld, here to pay our respects to the master of this realm."

That World Destruction Level Thunder Dragon did not respond immediately. Its Thunderbolt eyes swept over Austin, then lingered on Raylo for a fleeting moment, full of scrutiny and vigilance.

At that exact moment, Raylo extended his Spiritual Power further out to investigate, and his heart could not help but sink once more. The area surrounding this white Sun was not empty; rather, it was encircled by a massive cluster of Meteorites.

Even within the restricted sensory range he maintained under the suppression, he faintly detected several terrifying auras—all on the same level as this Thunder Dragon—lurking in the darkness atop the nearby giant Meteorites, like prehistoric beasts locking onto their prey.
