Chapter 633 - 458: The Late Otto III and the Blazing Flame Giant Dragon
Chapter 633: Chapter 458: The Late Otto III and the Blazing Flame Giant Dragon
The night gradually passed in tense anticipation.
As the first sliver of dawn appeared on the eastern horizon, the appointed time had come.
However, there was still no sign of Otto III.
Raylo stood on the edge of the cliff, his brow furrowed as he gazed at the western sky, which was still shrouded in darkness.
"What’s going on? Don’t tell me His Majesty the King got lost?"
Kado grumbled from behind him.
Raylo said nothing, but the unease in his heart grew with each passing moment.
Time ticked by, second by second.
Another hour passed. The Sun had fully risen, its golden light spilling across the sparkling, shimmering sea.
Still, there was no sign of Otto III.
Raylo’s heart sank.
The original plan was for the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon to take on one enemy, and Otto III the other.
Now that they were missing a key combatant, it would be a near-impossible task for the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon to face two Catastrophe Level opponents alone.
’Will I really have to ask Elder Gu to intervene?’
Just as Raylo’s anxiety reached a fever pitch...
Moonlight, the creature beside him, suddenly stood up, arched its back, and let out a low GROWL from deep in its throat.
Raylo’s heart skipped a beat. He followed Moonlight’s gaze toward the eastern horizon.
There, where the sea met the sky, the dark silhouettes of ships emerged from the horizon like ghosts.
The fleet of the Light Holy See had arrived.
Some ten minutes later, the fleet of more than twenty massive warships came into clear view.
The bow of each warship was carved with a giant Angel, and its sides were lined with rows of massive Crossbow Cannons that glinted with a cold, metallic light.
White banners embroidered with a Holy Sword and a Fiery Sun flapped violently in the sea breeze.
A palpable killing intent washed over them.
"They’re here!"
The Flowing Wind Giant Dragon let out a furious roar, no longer able to contain its rage.
ROAR!
A draconic roar that could pierce the clouds and shatter stone echoed across the heavens.
With a mighty beat of its wings, the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon’s massive body shot into the sky.
The weather across all of Storm Cape changed in an instant.
The sky was instantly blotted out by dark clouds.
Gale-force winds whipped up colossal waves, forming Water Tornadoes that connected the heavens and the sea. They created a massive perimeter, enveloping the entire Church Fleet.
The storm had arrived!
Just then, two brilliant beams of light shot skyward from the fleet’s flagship.
One of the lights was fiery and majestic.
It was a Holy Knight clad in silvery-white Heavy Armor, wielding a Two-Handed Giant Sword that burned with Holy Flame.
His body erupted with immense Catastrophe Level Power, causing the very space around him to warp and suppressing the storm and Water Tornadoes that enveloped the fleet.
A Tier Six Catastrophe Level Holy Knight!
The other light was even purer, more divine.
It was an exquisitely beautiful humanoid creature. It, too, had six white wings and held a Two-Handed Holy Sword identical in style to the Holy Knight’s.
A Six-winged Angel of Death!
Two equally vast and majestic streams of Catastrophe Level Power, like a pair of great mountains, bore down on the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon from left and right.
Below, on the warships of the Holy See, the immensely powerful Magic Crossbow Cannons began to hum.
The next second, hundreds of giant Crossbow Arrows and Magic Cannon Shells, trailing long plumes of fire, shrieked through the air as they shot toward the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon from all directions.
One against two!
And facing the concentrated fire of the entire fleet below!
Yet, there was not a trace of fear in the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon’s eyes—only endless fury and the will to fight.
ROAR!
It let out an earth-shattering roar. Spreading its wings, it unleashed an even more violent and calamitous storm, charging fearlessly toward the two Catastrophe Level powerhouses!
Atop the mountain, the wind howled, whipping Raylo’s robes about him.
His heart churned like the tempestuous waves on the sea below.
Otto III hadn’t come.
The worst-case scenario had come to pass.
On the battlefield below, the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon was fighting two opponents at once and was immediately locked in a desperate struggle.
The Tier Six Holy Knight was exceptionally powerful. Each swing of his Holy Sword unleashed a hundred-meter-long golden wave of Sword Qi. This Sword Qi contained a terrifying Power capable of purifying all it touched, forcing the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon to devote most of its energy to defending against it.
Meanwhile, the Six-winged Angel of Death moved like a tireless shadow, constantly darting around the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon at high speed. Its Holy Sword was like a viper’s fang, always finding the most difficult angles to strike at the dragon’s vital points.
While the Crossbow Arrows and cannon shells fired from the Magic Crossbow Cannons below couldn’t inflict fatal damage on the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon, they were like a swarm of irritating flies, constantly harassing it and draining its Power.
After only a few moments of combat, several wounds of varying depths had been carved into the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon’s azure scales. The Power of Holy Light clinging to the injuries continuously eroded its life force.
’I can’t wait any longer!’
’If this keeps up, the Flowing Wind Giant Dragon’s defeat is only a matter of time.’
Raylo took a deep breath, turned, and walked over to Grand Elder Gu, who was still sitting cross-legged.
He pleaded with Grand Elder Gu.
"Elder Gu, the situation has changed! I must ask you to intervene!"
Gu slowly opened his eyes.
His murky eyes calmly swept over the battlefield below—a chaotic scene shrouded in storms, Holy Light, and explosions—without a single ripple of emotion on his face.
