When Lin Wanwan entered the dorm with Xiao Chong and the guides, she didn’t meet her roommates, although the beds indicated two people were already there, both choosing the lower bunks.
She picked the upper bunk on the east side, and the guide swiftly climbed up to set up the new bedding and install the light-blocking mosquito net for her.
While one guide was setting up the mosquito net, the other two helped her clean up. They used newly bought cloths to quickly wipe down the chosen desk and wardrobe, stuffed the winter quilt into the storage box, and mopped the dorm floor again.
After finishing, Xiao Chong checked the time and said he would contact her at five.
Lin Wanwan nodded and said goodbye to him.
Once everyone had left, she began organizing her luggage, mainly new clothes, shoes, and bags. She hung up what needed to be hung and folded what needed folding, and organized everything neatly.
Fortunately, the wardrobe was quite large, allowing her to fit all her clothes inside.
There were still some bags that couldn’t fit, so Lin Wanwan kept them in their original packaging and hid them in her suitcase.
However, there was no place for the four suitcases, as the empty space next to the dorm wardrobe could only fit one suitcase.
Lin Wanwan was a bit troubled, she hadn’t expected Xiao Chong’s shopping desire to be so strong.
As she was thinking of Cao Cao, Cao Cao called.
"Wanwan, are you done organizing? Come down for dinner."
Lin Wanwan sighed, "I’m done organizing, but there’s no place for the four suitcases. I’m embarrassed to take up so much space."
Xiao Chong laughed, "It’s okay, bring the empty suitcases down to my dorm, I have plenty of space."
"Oh, I’ll bring two down then." Lin Wanwan thought about it, and it made sense since Xiao Chong only had one suitcase himself.
Dragging two empty suitcases downstairs, Xiao Chong was already waiting at the dorm entrance. He took them over and said, "Just wait here for me, don’t go to the boys’ dorm. The people there are like wolves, not suitable for beauties to visit."
Lin Wanwan blushed at his words, "Alright, I won’t go."
"Okay, wait for me."
Shortly after, Xiao Chong came over, riding a bike leisurely.
"Let’s go, I’ll take you to dinner." Xiao Chong pointed to the rear seat, signaling Lin Wanwan to hop on.
Lin Wanwan was stunned and asked, "Where did you get the bike?"
Xiao Chong laughed, "I ordered it a while ago, and the delivery was prompt."
"Oh." Lin Wanwan sat on the bike, suddenly feeling like she was back in high school.
Since school hadn’t officially started, the campus was filled mainly with freshmen and visitors, so the cafeteria wasn’t crowded.
Xiao Chong was evidently familiar with the place, taking Lin Wanwan to the Home Food Court after parking and locking the bike, leading her confusedly straight to the fourth floor to order hot pot.
Eating hot pot with iced cola in the middle of summer also had a unique flavor.
While they were eating, someone nearby was stealthily taking pictures with their phone.
Xiao Chong glanced sideways, smiled slightly, and asked them to delete it.
After apologizing, they deleted the photos, and no one else tried to sneak photos after that.
Lin Wanwan dipped a piece of cooked duck blood into the dipping sauce before putting it in her mouth, comfortably chewing and swallowing before saying, "Being famous isn’t always good."
Xiao Chong laughed, "It’s just the beginning."
He then used the ladle to scoop freshly cooked shrimp paste into Lin Wanwan’s bowl.
While they were eating, a chubby guy came running up, attempting to slap Xiao Chong’s back, but Xiao Chong blocked him with public chopsticks, though it didn’t stop him from looking at Lin Wanwan and speaking, "Bro, we were wondering why you didn’t hang out with us, turns out there’s a beauty here!"
Lin Wanwan looked at the guy and didn’t speak, while Xiao Chong, without turning his head, said, "Let me introduce you, this is my fiancée, Lin Wanwan."
He then pointed to a group of people gathering around, "Wanwan, these three are my roommates."
"Fiancée?" A pale boy with glasses thicker than a beer bottle repeated in shock.
"Hello, sister-in-law! I’m Hao Jian." A boy with elegantly framed gold glasses smiled and introduced himself.
"Hello, sister-in-law! I’m Zhang Hongyu." This was the previously unsuccessful attempt to ambush Xiao Chong by the chubby boy.
"I’m Shi Liangming." The thick beer bottle-bottom glasses guy quickly followed.
Lin Wanwan smiled and nodded at them, not accustomed to socializing with unfamiliar boys, unable to react. Also, she felt strange being called sister-in-law, not liking the title much.
After introducing themselves, the three went to another table.
Lin Wanwan glanced at their seating and said to Xiao Chong, "You’ve already met everyone? I haven’t met my roommates yet."
