Chapter 947: Xiao Chong Extra 29
The second time was more promising than the first. Lin Wanwan didn’t fall into chaos again and clearly felt his presence.
He carried an unfamiliar woody scent mixed with the aroma of agarwood, intoxicating and dizzying.
Several times Lin Wanwan felt he should stop, but he launched another surprise attack.
The thin summer clothes couldn’t block the heartbeat from either side. Lin Wanwan was held in his arms for so long that her neck felt sore. She couldn’t help but pushed him away.
Xiao Chong finally stopped, his breath becoming rough and heavy.
The "thump thump" of the heartbeat was so pronounced, she wasn’t sure whether it was his or hers.
Lin Wanwan lowered her head, leaning against his chest, blinking as she felt the man’s breath so close.
Her unfamiliar feeling left her at a loss. She maintained an embarrassed silence, waiting for him to speak first.
After an unknown period of time, Xiao Chong’s voice came down from above: "Wanwan, how does it feel?"
How would Lin Wanwan know what this feeling was? Was this something that should be discussed out loud?
She couldn’t see his face, nor did she want to answer his question. This love seemed different from what she envisioned.
Too intense, too much desire, making her whole body soft and dizzy.
She thought love would be like how they had been for the past three years, maintaining a polite distance, occasionally exchanging glances, which bloomed flowers in her heart, so pure that even holding hands felt like crossing the line.
Waiting for her answer, Xiao Chong lowered his head to look at her. In the morning light, Lin Wanwan’s milky white skin had a soft glow, her cheeks tinged with rouge, and her lowered eyelashes brushed like little brushes, leaving his heart itchy.
Xiao Chong once again cupped her face in his hands, Lin Wanwan hurriedly pushed him away and jumped off the trunk, "I don’t want to do this anymore."
"Did I scare you?" Xiao Chong got up too, his dark eyes watching her, with a trace of regret in his voice.
Lin Wanwan shook her head, "It’s just not quite what I imagined."
Xiao Chong laughed, "What did you imagine?"
Lin Wanwan bit her lip, not wanting to say.
Xiao Chong sighed. He knew he was moving too fast, it should be gradual.
Yet, she was so close, with a soft demeanor that felt as if she was offering herself, making it impossible for him to contain the beast within his heart.
He had held back for too long, too long.
Actually, the kiss just now had been restrained, otherwise...
The two remained silent, and after a moment, Lin Wanwan gazed at the golden sea, softly saying, "The sunrise is over, let’s go back."
"Okay." Xiao Chong turned around to close the trunk, walked to the passenger door to open it, watched Lin Wanwan get in the car, then helped her close the door and went around to the driver’s seat.
Before starting the car, Xiao Chong took out a bottle of water from the center console and drank a few gulps, "Glug, glug."
Lin Wanwan didn’t feel thirsty originally, but watching him drink made her feel the urge too, so she took out another bottle and drank silently.
Between her lips, she seemed to still taste someone’s flavor.
Xiao Chong suddenly turned to look at Lin Wanwan, smiling, "Wanwan, I’m very happy, how about you?"
To say she wasn’t happy would be a lie, but to say she was happy, Lin Wanwan feared Xiao Chong might take liberties next time, so she lowered her head, fiddling with the seatbelt in silence.
Xiao Chong suddenly grabbed her hand, kissed it, "I wish I could marry you right now. Why does modern society require such a late marriage age?"
If this were back in Great Tang, the kids could be buying soy sauce by now.
Lin Wanwan raised her eyes to glare at him, "I don’t want a youthful marriage."
"Hahaha!" Xiao Chong laughed loudly like crashing waves.
The beautiful life still needs to be explored slowly!
When Lin Wanwan returned home, her grandfather had already gone out for his leisurely walk.
Since changing jobs, Grandpa Lin, who rose early every day, would stroll around the neighborhood after breakfast to breathe fresh air and exercise his body.
Lin Wanwan sneaked upstairs like a thief, crawled into the mosquito net, turned on the small hanging fan above the canopy, hugged a pillow, and reminisced about everything that happened.
Her mind was full of Xiao Chong, his firm chest and the fresh taste lingering on her body.
Who would have thought that a person usually appearing so aloof and abstinent could have such a passionate side?
As she thought, Lin Wanwan fell asleep again.
This summer vacation after the college entrance exam, Lin Wanwan wanted to work and earn money.
She had already thought of a place, which was to be a teacher for a tutoring class at the training center, whether it was bridging young children or some other course, she felt she could handle it.
