Fury Towards The Burning Heaven

The place where the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames were was not far away from Jiang Yi; it was only hundreds of kilometers away. Jiang Yi sprinted the entire way and did not run into a single Chaos Beasts. In just five minutes, he arrived at the Fire Abyss.

As its name suggested, the Fire Abyss was deep; but it was not considered too big. Jiang Yi guessed that it probably was not that deep either. There was a red glow at the base of the abyss. Jiang Yi could see the flames rushing towards the sky, as well as the green smoke, even from a great distance away.

Swish!

He did not feel any Chaos Beast’s aura. Jiang Yi scanned the surroundings and then shot into the abyss at once. The Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast had been lured away, but it could return at any moment. There were also formidable martial artists of the Qin Clan some distance away. Jiang Yi had to absorb the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames in the shortest time possible.

Tsk! Tsk!

The moment he entered the abyss, the flames kept licking him. These flames were orange-red. Whenever the flames traveled upwards, ripples would form in the air around it. Jiang Yi made a quick comparison and found that these flames were indeed much scarier than his Nine Nether Cold Flames. This was only the thirtieth scariest flames in the world; how frightening would the top ten be?

Creak-creak!

The Fire Spirit Pearl flashed, and the Heaven-Swallowing Beast woke up. It shot out of the pearl and stood on Jiang Yi’s shoulder, surveying the surroundings. Its two eyes twinkled as it sent a voice transmission to Jiang Yi: “Big Ferocious, you’re so good to me. Are these flames for me to consume?” 

“Yes and no…”

Jiang Yi frowned and explained, “I want to absorb these flames so that I can exchange it for your black rainstones. If… you want to eat them, that’s fine with me, too. You can choose between these flames and black rainstones.”

Creak-creak~

The Heaven-Swallowing Beast made some noises, clearly in conflict. It blinked several times and said, “I want the black rainstones, but can I consume some of these flames? Just a bit…”

“Alright then!”

Jiang Yi laughed bitterly. There was no way he could reason with a foodie so he said, “Go into the Fire Spirit Pearl first. I’ll absorb these flames for you to eat. After I refine them, they’ll become much stronger. You can consume those even stronger flames.”

“Alright, alright. Big Ferocious, you’re so good!” The Heaven-Swallowing Beast narrowed his eyes, grinning at Jiang Yi. Then, it entered the Fire Spirit Pearl again.

“This little beast is not afraid of high temperatures at all!”

Jiang Yi glanced at the Fire Spirit Pearl. He imagined that even demon spirits would suffer under such extreme conditions. Yet, this little beast did not have the slightest reaction. On second thought, the little beast could consume even Jiang Yi’s Nine Nether Cold Flames. Jiang Yi had nothing more to say. This little beast did not look like it was fire-elemental, and yet it did not fear fire.

Swish!

Jiang Yi quickly charged downwards. He saw a huge ball of orange-red flames. At that moment, he instinctively jumped back. The huge ball of flames was made up of smaller balls of flames. They joined together to form what looked like a face. What’s more, it was a ghostly face that looked like an angry King Kong. It was extremely frightening.

“This vast world is truly filled with extraordinary things.”

Jiang Yi sighed sorrowfully as he continued downwards, straight towards the huge ball of flames. His Fire Spirit Pearl lit up and began to absorb the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames. In a blink of an eye, he collected ten balls of the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames.

“This little beast is quite obedient.”

He looked into his Fire Spirit Pearl in his mind and found that the little beast was almost drooling but remaining in its spot. Jiang Yi kept flying amidst the flames, absorbing them as he went. After he absorbed most of them, he suddenly heard an angry roar coming from the bottom of the abyss.

Roar!

This roar caused Jiang Yi’s heart to almost fly out of his throat. A terrifying aura engulfed Jiang Yi; it was an Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast. Jiang Yi had not felt any Chaos Beast’s aura before. The Poison Spirit had also probably looked around before this. Jiang Yi did not think that there would be an Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast sleeping underneath the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames.

Buzz!

The Fire Spirit Pearl flashed and the little beast appeared once again. The scales on its head immediately stood up, and its golden horn glowed. The little beast’s gaze hardened, and its aura surged as it cried out in a terribly high-pitched manner, “Creak-creak!”

“Big Ferocious, quickly absorb the flames! This big guy wants to take us as its food? If it dares to even touch me, I will fight it out with him!”

Jiang Yi received the Heaven-Swallowing Beast’s voice transmission. Soon enough, the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast below stopped roaring out of fear. It did not even deal any attacks at Jiang Yi. Jiang Yi’s heart jumped. The Heaven-Swallowing Beast could scare this Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast? How did this little beast’s aura become so frightening? It was even comparable to the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast’s.

In the face of danger, Jiang Yi did not dare to hesitate any longer. As fast as he could, he absorbed all the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames and flew back towards the sky. What excited him the most was that the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast seemed genuinely afraid of the little beast. It did not show its face to Jiang Yi again.

“Go!”

Once Jiang Yi got out of the abyss, he flew into the distance at top speed. After traveling for a full ten minutes, he still did not manage to find the Poison Spirit. Jiang Yi frowned. Could the Poison Spirit have gotten into a fight with the Qin Clan’s people? Otherwise, why had he not appeared even after so long?

Jiang Yi stood at the top of the peak and looked out at the Fire Abyss. He confirmed that the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast had not been following him, and then he fell into deep thought. A few moments later, he charged towards the east. He had fifty thousand yellow sand worms with him and the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames as well. He might not be able to kill Heaven Emanations, but he would at least be able to defend himself against them.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Roar! Roar!

After traveling five hundred kilometers to the east, Jiang Yi heard a series of explosions in the distance as well as the roar of a Chaos Beast. The Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast had really been lured here by the Poison Spirit. Jiang Yi could feel its strong aura even from this distance.

Buzz!

A ghost-like figure appeared in a flash beside Jiang Yi. The Poison Spirit sent a voice transmission to him: “Young Lord, what are you doing here? I’m sorry… I did not manage to hold myself back so I killed off the Heaven Emanations from the Qin Clan. I was just getting ready to go back to find you. Do you have the Heavenly Yang Fury Flames yet?”

“Yes!”

Jiang Yi nodded, looking in front of them. “What’s happening up there?”

“Hehe!”

The Poison Spirit seemed to be elated as he answered, “I lured an Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast over there and took the chance to kill the Heaven Emanations. There were still four more; two of them protected their Young Mistress and led her away. The other two stayed behind to fight it out with the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast and a group of Primitive-Grade Chaos Beasts. They’re having a tough time. If I had not been worried about you, I would have killed off those two Heaven Emanations as well.”

“Then go for it!”

Jiang Yi’s eyes glinted as he said, “Since you’ve already acted, don’t drag it out. I can protect myself. Go and find a chance to kill off those two people. At the same time, kill off the Ancient-Grade Chaos Beast. I’m lacking divine roots now. I’m guessing the Heaven Emanations of the Qin Clan would be quite rich, right?”

“Alright!”

A cold grin appeared on the Poison Spirit’s face as excitement filled his eyes. The Young Master of the Qin Clan killed his wife back then. There was a deep-running feud between him and the Qin Clan. It soothed him to know that he could kill off these two Heaven Emanations of the Qin Clan.

“Young Lord, stay here; don’t move about. Wait for me to return.”

The Poison Spirit disappeared in a blink of an eye. Jiang Yi did not bother to hold him back either. Given the Poison Spirit’s skills, killing a bunch of Heaven Emanations should be a piece of cake. The two Heaven Emanations were still fighting off a bunch of Chaos Beasts, too.

Yet!

Things did not develop as smoothly as Jiang Yi imagined. Five minutes later, he heard a roar coming from the east: “Poison Spirit? You’ve already assassinated my older brother, and now you want to kill me? Let’s die together!”

Boom!

An explosive voice sounded from the east. It sounded like it was coming from tens of kilometers away from Jiang Yi, but the mountains around him were already reverberating from the sound. Jiang Yi’s eardrums were hurting from the volume of the roar as well. A burst of heavenly powers shot towards him, causing his gaze to turn cool immediately.

He exploded himself!

A Heaven Emanations exploded himself!

Swish!

Jiang Yi immediately flew towards the Poison Spirit. How frightening it must have been for the Heaven Emanations to explode himself. Jiang Yi did not know, but even if the Poison Spirit did not die from the impact, Jiang Yi guessed that he must have been seriously injured. If he was still alive, Jiang Yi would rescue him even if it cost his life. Poison Spirit was way too important to him.
