Chapter 306 - The Taixu Sect Is Very Agreeable

Chapter 306: The Taixu Sect Is Very Agreeable

Shiiing!

There was a hum of swords as the Sword Array of Five Elements and Six Pulses instantly materialized, Sword Qi emanating as it landed on top of Zhong Yue’s head.

The entire yard was hence shrouded in sword radiance and the walls of Jiang He’s yard was struck once by the Sword Qi, instantly crumbling into dust.

Though Jiang He was not aiming straight for the True Habitant of Nine Dragons and Elder Mo, the killing intent and Sword Qi spreading alone left both full-fledged Yuan Spirit elites paling, with sweat rolling off their foreheads.

They traded a glance, seeing a look of astonishment and terror in each other’s eyes.

Sword Array?

This Sword Array charged so offhandedly probably reached Convergence-tier in power, did it not?

And then there was the many flying swords…

Five were premium-grade soul weapons, and one was a sage weapon emanating with a strong sage aura?

“A profane cultivator, gaining minor providence by chance?”

In that very moment, the True Habitant of Nine Dragons was wildly complaining inwardly—right now, the opinion that every immortal sect had toward Jiang He was all nonsense.

They called this a minor providence?

Six flying swords, five of them premium-grade soul weapons and one being a sage weapon. Most importantly, that sage weapon flying sword did not appear weak at all, and could well be mediocre-grade, even superior-grade!

And this was supposedly a minor providence?

That little black bell that was holding him just now was a sage item as well, was it not?

Still, it was a ‘minor providence gained by chance’?

One should know that even the Penglai Sect did not have more than a handful of sage items, not to mention that most were either inferior-grade or mediocre-grade, with only a single superior-grade. On the other hand, premium-grade sage items were treasures that could actually subjugate even destiny.

“Is Jiang He really a profane cultivator?”

“Who is he actually?”

“A Yuan Spirit novice… who already possesses the power of those on the cusp of reaching Convergence. No matter which immortal sect he goes to, his cultivation would definitely allow him to gain an important rank. Funny, I’d actually negligently demanded that he come out to meet me instead before I would consider bestowing him immortal cultivation in return…”

The True Habitant of Nine Dragons chuckled bitterly and sighed inwardly.

Elder Mo was sighing softly and shaking his head as well, and there was no telling what he was thinking.

Zhong Yue, on the other hand…

In that very instant, his face had turned pale as the Sword Qi over his head left his whole body freezing like an igloo. He had wanted to say something that would ease the tension, but his voice had turned hoarse and he was unable to put his fear to words.

After several seconds, he growled even as his eyes turned red, “I am the chief disciple of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, Jiang He!”

Ooom!

Swords flashed and hummed, and the Sword Qi hovering above Zhong Yue’s head lowered by three inches.

Zhong Yue promptly retracted his neck, but strands of his black hair were being shaved off.

“Jiang He, my mother is the Fourth Elder of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, while my father is the vice-chieftain as well as a Convergence-tier elite! They would not show you mercy if you dare to hurt me, and you will be an enemy of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect!”

Watching as his beloved, lustrous hair was being sliced off, Zhong Yue’s eyes turned redder even as he bellowed in fury.

And yet, Jiang He was not angered. Instead, his eyes lit up and he exclaimed in surprise, “Is that true?”

“I never lie.” Zhong Yue seethed.

Nonetheless, Jiang He doubted him and looked toward Elder Mo and the True Habitant of Nine Dragons. He only smiled after both of them nodded, saying, “Not bad, not bad. That means you have greater value now…”

Pow!

He abruptly punched out, slamming his fist at Zhong Yue’s face and knocking him unconscious, before throwing him careless on the ground.

What the hell!

Both Elder Mo and the True Habitant of Nine Dragons were left with pounding hearts at the sight…

Zhong Yue has already declared his background and how strong his backing was, and you would still beat him up?

Most importantly, it is such a cruel sight—several teeth have been knocked lose and half his face is left dented…you’ve knocked out an actual Yuan Spirit-novice just like that!

On the other hand, Jiang He exclaimed in joy, “I didn’t think that brat had such influence. That would mean he’s worth a little money…”

He then turned towards Elder Mo and asked, “You are the elder of another immortal sect, Elder Mo, but shouldn’t you be stepping up to scold me and be ready to attack, subjugating me to uphold justice?”

Elder Mo’s eyelid was left twitching. Unsure as to why Jiang He would put it that way, he braced himself and said, “You must be joking, Mister Jiang. Zhong Yu has been discourteous toward you and it is only appropriate that you would teach him a lesson.”

Jiang He sighed.

Wasn’t Elder Mo being a little too wimpy here?

Not even some harsh remarks? You’re making it so awkward for me to capture you here.

As such, Jiang He promptly attacked again, intimidating the True Habitant of Nine Dragons with the Sword Array of Five Elements and Six Pulses before capturing him and Zhong Yue with the Sky Demon Bell. After that, he smiled at Elder Mo, saying, “Well then, I’ll have to trouble you to pass the word to the Penglai Sect and the Ten Thousand Swords Sect. Just tell them they have done me a discourtesy and broken my walls as well as other houses in the village, and have them send someone over to discuss reimbursement with me.”

“Well…”

Elder Mo was a little hesitant at that.

Having him pass the word? How was that different from provoking the Penglai Sect and the Ten Thousand Swords Sect?

After all, why would the representatives from two other major sects be captured by Jiang He and not him? That was already enough cause for suspicion… and was he not the one who had crushed his own walls with his Sword Qi?

As for the village…

Was the damage not caused because you sent Zhong Yue of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect flying?

Even so, Elder Mo certainly had no guts to say all that. After musing irresolutely to himself for seconds, he smiled begrudgingly and said, “Mister Jiang, it’s difficult for this lowly sage to accomplish that. To tell the truth…”

Kaboom!

However, even before Elder Mo could finish, he saw Jiang He’s frightening aura erupting and his mystic energy surging as veins of Sword Qi fired out. Hence, he promptly changed his tone and said, “To tell the truth, while I am working under the orders of my chieftain, it would be wonderful if I could help Mister Jiang by visiting the Penglai Sect and the Ten Thousand Swords Sect too.”

Though Jiang He withdrew his aura at that, he appeared a little disappointed as he clapped Elder Mo on the shoulder, saying, “Well, thank you very much, Elder Mo. By the way, where is the archway to the Taixu Sect?”

“It feels like we’re old acquaintances even if we actually just met. I would be able to visit your sect often if I knew where it is.”

Elder Mo’s heart skipped a beat just then.

The demonic combat ability that Jiang He showed was simply unbelievable. Though it was a pipe dream to accept him as a disciple, getting on his good side counts as accomplishing the task assigned by his chieftain. As such, he promptly brought out a jade charm, saying, “The archway to our sect is atop Mount Kunlun, fellow sage Jiang. You just have to infuse your mystic energy into the jade charm and this lowly sage shall sense it.”

Then, afraid to linger even a moment longer, he promptly took to the skies and disappeared into the night.

He bolted at top speed, flying over four hundred kilometers before he finally slowed down a little, wiped the sweat over his forehead, chuckled in pain, and sighed…

Everyone had come together on this day to recruit a disciple.

Pride filled their chest when their arrived, believing that people of the profane would show abundant respect toward them who hailed from immortal sects, thereby unwittingly developing a ‘one class above’ mindset.

And yet…

It ended with the chief disciple of the Ten Thousand Swords Sect being given a wild beating and the True Habitant of Nine Dragons subjugated, after of which both were captured.

“The Penglai Sect would be alright since it is yet to be time for them to completely leave seclusion. Moreover, it is certainly proven that Jiang He holds a great destiny. Those bad-tempered folks at the Ten Thousand Swords Sect, on the other hand…”

Elder Mo could not help feeling a headache once he remembered that he had to pass on Jiang He’s word.

“Whatever. I’ll return to my sect and report this to the chieftain for now, and see what he decides.”

With that, Elder Mo flew towards Mount Kunlun.

Even so, once he remembered Jiang He’s goodwill and indication that he wanted to visit the Taixu Sect, his somber mood was relieved considerably.

***

Meanwhile, inside his own mansion.

Jiang He was fiddling with the jade charm, a look of delight showing on his face as he laughed, “Having this jade charm and knowing where the gateway to the Taixu Sect is, I could go to them and ask to borrow any mystic treasure and soul item whenever I need some. Moreover, the people from the Taixu Sect seem like the scaredy type, and they should be very agreeable.”
