Every Sentinel I Dreamed of Came Looking for Me

Chapter 321: It Really Feels Good to Touch

Chapter 321: Chapter 321: It Really Feels Good to Touch

The sky gradually brightened as soft morning light slipped through the gap in the curtains, gently casting a pale glow across the bed. Yun Sheng was awakened by a warm ray of light. Her consciousness was still hazy and loose, lingering in the groggy daze of someone who had just woken up. Her eyelids felt so heavy that she couldn’t fully open them for a long while.

She subconsciously nuzzled against the blanket, only to rub against a warm, broad chest. Blinking her eyes open in a daze, her gaze unexpectedly collided with an incredibly striking face in the very next second.

His features were deep and sharp, exquisitely proportioned without a hint of effeminacy. Instead, he looked exceptionally heroic and fierce. His narrow eyes were sharply defined, his nose tall and straight, and his thin lips were a pale shade. Combined, they were stunning and captivating. It was clearly a cold, aloof face that naturally kept people at a distance, yet right now, bathed in the morning light, it had shed all of its chill. He looked unbelievably soft, so handsome that she couldn’t tear her eyes away.

Yun Sheng’s gaze slowly traveled downward, landing on Si Jin’s smooth, firm chest muscles. They looked incredibly resilient and perfect to the touch. And at this moment, one of her hands was resting right against them.

She blinked in confusion, her eyes darting back and forth between his gorgeous face and his tight chest. Before her brain could fully process the situation, her hand acted on its own. Wiggling her fingertips, Yun Sheng gave him a tentative feel, then couldn’t resist gently caressing him. The moment her palm pressed against his full pecs, the smooth yet solid texture felt so wonderfully addictive.

"It really does feel amazing..." she murmured under her breath, a look of pure, immersive enjoyment on her face. Her fingertips seemed to have a mind of their own as they slowly slid down along his sleek lines, inch by inch tracing his distinctly sculpted abs.

Just as Yun Sheng was feeling him up intently, unwilling to let go, a lazy and husky male voice suddenly fell upon her ear. It carried the magnetic sexiness of someone who had just woken up—low and exceptionally alluring.

"Does it feel good?"

Yun Sheng instantly froze, her heart skipping a beat as her head snapped up. In the next moment, she collided straight into Si Jin’s clear and enchanting azure eyes. His gaze was perfectly lucid; it was obvious he had been awake for a while.

"When... when did you wake up?" Yun Sheng asked, feeling somewhat flustered, her tone carrying a slight stutter.

Si Jin lightly raised an eyebrow, a faint smile rippling in his eyes. His tone was slow and deliberate, laced with intentional teasing. "Right about the time you reached out to feel me up."

BOOM. Yun Sheng’s face instantly exploded in a flush, turning a burning red all the way from her cheeks to the tips of her ears and down her neck. Even though they had shared the utmost intimacy last night, secretly fondling him while he slept—and getting caught red-handed—was simply far too embarrassing!

Embarrassed and utterly mortified, Yun Sheng didn’t dare to meet Si Jin’s eyes again. She abruptly rolled over, yanking the thin blanket over herself and burying her head and body in a chaotic bundle, looking exactly like a little quail hiding from the world. Watching her shy, irritated, yet adorable reaction, a low chuckle escaped Si Jin’s throat, making his chest vibrate slightly.

He leaned in close, easily scooping up both the girl and the blanket into his arms in one smooth motion. The sudden sensation of being lifted into the air caused Yun Sheng to let out a muffled gasp through the covers.

"Wh... where are you going?"

Si Jin stood up with her in his arms, lowering his head to rest against the bulging lump of blankets. His tone was incredibly gentle and doting as he coaxed, "I’m carrying you to wash up. After that, I’ll cook for you, alright?"

At the mention of cooking, Yun Sheng instinctively reached up to rub her slightly flat stomach. The gnawing sensation of hunger from an empty stomach instantly surged up; she really was a bit hungry. She immediately nodded inside her blanket cocoon, giving a soft reply, "Okay."

Si Jin cast his eyes down at the bulging little bundle in his arms, the amusement in his gaze so thick it was practically overflowing, unable to hide his boundless tenderness. He paused his steps, lowered his head, and pressed a gentle kiss against the soft blanket.

Two bowls of steaming noodles were already arranged on the dining table, their savory aroma wafting through the air. Si Jin had just set down two pairs of chopsticks when a set of light footsteps approached from behind. Before he could turn around, a pair of arms wrapped around his waist, and a warm body pressed gently against his back.

"That entire wardrobe full of new clothes in the dressing room—did you prepare all of that just for me? Confess, have you been plotting to get me to move in with you for a long time?"

Before Si Jin had gone to make breakfast, he told her there was a change of clothes in the dressing room. Yun Sheng originally thought he had merely set aside a simple outfit for her to change into, but to her surprise, the entire closet was stuffed with brand-new clothes. From loose, comfortable loungewear to casual outdoor outfits, down to the most intimate undergarments, everything was fully stocked. It was obvious he had prepared all of this well in advance.

Si Jin looked down at the hands encircling his waist, then naturally turned around to pull her into a hug. His tone was candid, without a shred of concealment. "Yes, I’ve wanted to for a long time. Ever since the night we made it out of Zone 10, I’ve had people slowly gathering all of it, just waiting for the day you’d come."

Yun Sheng’s heart trembled, feeling both sweet and warm. She tilted her head up to stare at him for a few seconds before suddenly rising onto her tiptoes to press a kiss to the corner of his lips.

"You schemer."

Even as she called him a schemer, she couldn’t hide the smile dancing in her eyes. How could anyone dislike a schemer whose heart and mind were entirely devoted to them?

Si Jin let out a low laugh, gently ruffling the top of her head. "Let’s eat first. The noodles will get mushy."

"Alright."

The two sat closely beside each other, quietly finishing their breakfast. After cleaning up the dishes, they walked out of the apartment side by side. Just as they stepped out of the residential complex’s main gate, a low-profile black hovercar glided over from the street and stopped steadily in front of them. The car door slowly opened. Yun Sheng glanced over, freezing in surprise.

The person stepping out of the car was actually Su Yuanzhou. How did he manage to find this place?

At that moment, Su Yuanzhou narrowed his eyes and looked back at them. His scrutinizing gaze swept over Si Jin’s face—currently disguised as Lin Mo—before dropping to where his fingers were tightly interlaced with Yun Sheng’s. His expression darkened slightly.

"Yun Sheng, if it’s convenient, I’d like to speak with you alone."

Yun Sheng replied without a second of hesitation, "Just say whatever you need to say. Lin Mo isn’t an outsider. There’s no need to purposely send him away."

The moment those words fell, Su Yuanzhou’s brows furrowed instantly. The look he directed at Si Jin grew even colder and heavier, laced with obvious appraisal.

In contrast, Si Jin maintained a placid demeanor the entire time. He stood solidly by Yun Sheng’s side, his face devoid of any excess emotion, looking remarkably composed.

"Your mother has been hospitalized. She got into a massive argument with Lin Zhenye last night. I’m not sure about the exact cause, but during the dispute, she fell down the stairs."

Yun Sheng pressed her lips tightly together. Su Wan had argued with Lin Zhenye and even fallen down the stairs? Could it have happened after she hung up the phone last night?

Suppressing the astonishment in her heart, she asked, "How is her condition? Is she okay?"

"She isn’t in any serious danger. It’s just some superficial wounds and scrapes, nothing major." Su Yuanzhou’s tone softened slightly, but it quickly took on a heavier note. "However, your brother still hasn’t woken up yet, and Lin Yueyao was taken away by the Star Alliance for investigation. The Lin family is currently a total mess, and your mother has no one left by her side but you. I hope you can come with me to the hospital to see her."

Yun Sheng raised an eyebrow, retorting, "Is it really just to see her?"

If it was purely about having her visit Su Wan at the hospital, would he really need to come all the way here to ambush her in person? Things were probably far less simple than what Su Yuanzhou was making them out to be!
