The aura that came from the Immortal Tribulation was quite potent. Since this was the fourth time he had called for it, it was much more potent than the first three times in the Sun Talon realm. That was to be expected, considering each lightning bolt was now stronger than back then.
Alex took in the aura, which also included healing aura. That aura itself was meant to heal any cultivator who was wounded due to the Immortal Lightning. If one wasn’t, they could simply use that aura for cultivation.
In Alex’s case, while he hadn’t been wounded, that aura was incredibly helpful in improving his Blood Essence.
For the next few hours, he cultivated with the Energy as best as he could. He wasted not a single bit of the aura that came from the Heavens and quickly improved his cultivation.
Over the many years, his cultivation base at the Immortal Transcendent 9th realm had been steadily progressing. It had been slower than all the times he had broken through before, mostly due to his lack of Blood Essence.
However, now that he had regained a second one and was on his way to getting back his third one as well, the improvement in his cultivation base was becoming much better. He was more than halfway done on his path to entering the Immortal Spirit realm.
One part of the breakthrough did bother him for now. To become an Immortal Spirit realm cultivator, a person had to convert their Origins into a Spirit. Alex wondered if he had to focus his attention there at all or if he had already gotten past that requirement.
After all, while Alex refused to consider him anything more than just a wasted Origin for now, the Dragon Father had become a Spirit long ago. If Alex needed to unlock just one Spirit to break through, then that requirement was complete.
However, at the same time, there was a possibility that he would need to convert all 8 of them before breaking through. If that was the case, Alex couldn’t see how he was going to be able to break through in time.
’Bai Jingshen said he didn’t need to do so,’ Alex thought for a moment. ’All he had to do was form one of his two Origins into a Spirit, and it counted.’
But then, Bai Jingshen had a single Origin that acted as two different ones. Meanwhile, Alex had 8 actually different Origins. He wasn’t sure how that would work.
’There’s no point in worrying for now when I’m still a ways away from breaking through. I should focus on just cultivating for now.’
The aura from the Immortal Tribulation was gone now. Alex had cultivated it all. That aura had ended up being quite a lot more helpful, as his Blood Essence was closer to being fully healed. It was so close that Alex didn’t want to take his time healing it normally at all.
He was going to call upon the Immortal Tribulation once again.
But before he did that, there was something else he needed to do.
Alex went through his Soul Space and found the pill he was looking for. He brought it out and held it in his hand.
It was the Neutral Immortal Tribulation Pill Alex had formed a long time ago.
Normally, should a person bring on an Immortal Tribulation more than once in quick succession, Heaven became aware of their desire to use them for cultivating. In such cases, Heaven would skip past a few of the Immortal Tribulations, instantly becoming stronger by many folds.
And since Heaven always looked back at what it had done before during the next one, all Immortal Tribulations from that point forward would retain that strength. As a result, calling upon Immortal Tribulations in quick succession was the same as throwing away tens of thousands of years of your lifespan at once.
However, there was a pill that could undo that, and that was the Neutral Immortal Tribulation Pill. Once someone consumed the pill, any aura that would tell Heaven that the person had recently gone through an Immortal Tribulation would be gone, giving them a clean slate to call for it once again.
Alex had used it back in the Sun Talon realm in quick succession to call upon 3 Immortal Tribulations in total. And now, he was going to eat it to call for another one.
The sky roared once again as dark clouds gathered. Many people who noticed it were once again surprised, especially when they realized who it was that had called for it.
Most of those people were quick to call Alex an idiot, as they understood the risk of successive Immortal Tribulations better than anyone else. However, as they waited for it, they were all surprised by the lack of an unreasonable increase in the Immortal Tribulation’s strength.
What could before kill an Immortal Ascendant 4th realm cultivator was now able to kill an Immortal Ascendant 5th realm cultivator. That was just the normal increment.
Alex took on all 9 lightning bolts in a row, unfazed by a single one of them. It would take a lot more than that for Heaven to do anything to him at this point.
Once the lightning bolts vanished, Alex immediately cultivated the potent aura, drawing it all into his body. As he cultivated, the healing aura from the tribulation made its way through him, healing all of his wounds.
The Energy washed through him, and finally, what remained of his third drop of Blood Essence fully healed, returning him back to his peak.
Instantly, Alex felt an improvement in his cultivation that he had been lacking throughout his entire closed cultivation session this time around, improving his speed again.
And with that improved speed, he cultivated the remaining Energy that lingered around him from the Immortal Tribulation.
Alex was still not close to entering the next realm, but there was progress, and should he continue this way, he would reach the threshold in no more than a few more years.
