Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3879: Truthseer

Chapter 3879: Truthseer

The simple words from the Artifact God were enough to surprise not just the Forest God, but also the Sky God and Sunflare. Despite being so close to the workshop, Sunflare hadn’t the slightest clue that someone was right there near him, working on an artifact using materials from the Three-Legged Crow.

The Sky God’s eyes narrowed almost immediately as well. However, instead of looking at the Artifact God, her eyes moved toward Alex. There was no doubt in her mind that if they were working with such materials, then they could have only come from him.

"Materials coming from the Three-Legged Crow?" the Forest God asked with a curious look on his face. Given the strong Yang aura he and everyone else was sensing, there was no reason to doubt that this was what she was saying it was. "Where did you find such materials?"

Bladedance arrived around the same time, quickly moving past the Sky God and the rest, arriving next to Alex. Her eyes moved through the area, trying to see what was happening.

"I heard everything," she whispered before turning around. "I was the one who found the materials."

"You found parts of the Three-Legged Crow?" the Forest God asked Bladedance.

"Only the feathers, but yes," she answered.

"May I ask where?" the man asked.

"No, you may not."

The Forest God was taken aback slightly, though he smiled nonetheless. "You’re as sharp as ever, little sister."

"I would appreciate it if you just called me Bladedance," she said without any fear.

The Forest God let out a slight chuckle before turning toward Alex and the Artifact God. "This is your disciple, isn’t he? I’ve heard a lot about him, though I’m surprised to see that he’s not exactly as strong as everyone said he might be. He’s yet to reach the Immortal Spirit realm at all. Not to mention, his spirit is weak. Is he wounded?"

Bladedance frowned slightly, looking at Alex. Only now did she notice that Alex was indeed much weaker than usual. She wanted to ask why that was, but now was not the time.

Alex noticed several more people appearing behind the Sky God and the rest. As he looked, he realized they were all Gods.

Killshot, Tealspirit, Ironwall, Swiftcleave, Hellspawn, Whitesong, Cleartone, Goldsteel, Soulmother, and Moonspirit all remained in the sky, trying to discern what exactly was happening down there.

Alex looked through them all, slowly counting them. There were already 14 Gods in total, and more would be coming soon as well.

As he thought so, another person flew among them, whose arrival hadn’t gone unnoticed by the others.

"What’s going on here?" the man asked with a gentle look on his face. He was older than most people, with graying hair and slight wrinkles on his face. His eyes, however, looked younger than those of any of the other people in the group.

"Brother Truthseer!" the War God spoke up, quickly greeting the old man. "How have you been?"

"I’m quite well, Brother Hellspawn. May I ask what the commotion is?" the old man asked.

"Apparently, the Artifact God has gotten her hands on materials from the Three-Legged Crow and is making an artifact with them," the War God said.

"I haven’t made any yet," the Artifact God quickly said, clearing up any misunderstanding. "I’m in the process of making one. What happened today was a small mishap. It won’t happen again."

"Really?" the newcomer asked, looking toward her with his clear eyes.

The Artifact God flinched at the sight a little, but eventually nodded along. "It’s the truth. I have not succeeded in making any artifacts with the Three-Legged Crow’s feathers. But by the time all of us gather, I’m sure I will have completed it already."

The words caused a wave of murmurs to pass through the Gods themselves. It had been such an incredibly long time since something like this had happened. No Artifact God or Sage had managed to create an artifact from a Primordial corpse in hundreds of thousands of years.

If she could, then that would open up a lot of avenues going forward. Especially considering the fact that there were currently two Primordial corpses that floated around the world.

The Dragon-Turtle and the Headless Immortal.

"I look forward to seeing it be made," Truthseer said with a smile.

His eyes turned toward Alex, but before he could say anything, Bladedance stepped forward, blocking his view.

"Avert your eyes from my disciple, Truthseer," Bladedance said in a strong voice.

The man smiled. "I’m happy to see you as well, Senior Bladedance. It’s good to see that you are indeed fine. I was worried we would never find you again."

Bladedance nodded, saying nothing.

The man remained where he was. "Can I not meet the young man behind you? I’ve heard a lot about him," he said.

"If you’ve heard a lot about him, then there’s not much for you to learn by meeting him. I’m sure he’ll be ready to meet you sometime in the future. For now, let him be."

The man shrugged. "If that is what you wish, Senior Bladedance."

"Let us all leave," the Sky God said at the same time. "It is not good to intrude upon the Artifact God’s courtyard. Now that we’ve learned that it wasn’t anything serious, there’s no reason to overstay our welcome."

The several Gods slowly nodded and started leaving one after another. Truthseer left with the War God. The Forest God remained for a second longer before giving a smirk and moving along.

The Sky God looked at them just once, her eyes clearly holding misgivings about the situation, though she left as well.

Once everyone was gone, Bladedance relaxed considerably. She turned back toward the two, staring between them.

"What happened here exactly?" she asked, rubbing her forehead. "Surely it isn’t actually the feathers, right?"

Alex shook his head. "Come inside, Master. I’ll show you what we’ve done."

Bladedance followed the two into the workshop, the barrier quickly forming again behind them.

Once inside, Alex immediately introduced Bladedance to his new sword.

Bladedance could hardly hide her surprise.
