Chapter 3774: Two Months Off
Chapter 3774: Two Months Off
A few months passed since Alex joined the community belonging to Luo Qingruo, and in that time, he finished filling his Yellow Fog Origin. With 5 of his Origins filled, he now had 3 remaining at various levels.
The Blank Canvas Pill Origin was currently around 62% filled. The Heavenly Clouds Origin was close to 70%, and the Void Origin was the highest at nearly 80%. To give himself the ability to break through to the Immortal Transcendent 6th realm, he had to push himself higher than this.
Other than that, Alex also had his Blood Origin, which he sadly hadn’t had the opportunity to fill much. Even then, it was already at 85%. If he kept at it, it wouldn’t be long before his Origins were all high enough to allow him to break through again.
After the Yellow Fog Origin was full, Alex decided to cultivate properly. He needed to take a few months off and focus on his cultivation as much as he could.
So, during one of the days, he paid over 6000 stars to buy himself 2 months of time. With how many stars he had, it didn’t make sense for him to not spend them at all.
Once it was all spent, he began his closed cultivation.
However, before he had even gone deep into it, he was interrupted by someone shouting close by. Alex had a barrier formation around him, but it didn’t keep sight or sound away because he needed to prepare for all disasters.
That allowed the person before him to scream at him loud enough to bring him out of his cultivation session.
Alex wasn’t particularly happy to be woken up, but he didn’t show it on his face. He looked up and found the man who was second in command to Luo Qingruo in the community, the one who handled everything from recruiting more people to deciding how challenges were going to be handled.
Alex took a deep breath to calm himself and spoke up. "Can I help you?"
"What are you doing?" the man asked. "Can’t you see that it’s time for everyone to challenge each other?"
Alex blinked. "Ah! My apologies. I should’ve mentioned it before, but I won’t be taking part in any challenges for the next 2 months. I am going to be in closed cultivation."
The man showed a look of surprise and confusion. "You won’t stay in this realm if you don’t challenge anyone for even a day. Don’t you know that?"
"I know. I’ve already spent my fee for the next 2 months. Now, if you would kindly—"
"For 2 months?" the man shouted, loud enough for everyone to hear his voice even if they didn’t want to. "That’s 6000 stars. Are you saying you spent 6000 stars?"
"Yes," Alex said, getting slightly irritated at this point. "Now, please move aside and let me cultivate."
"No," the man said. "You joined the community. It’s your obligation to be part of the challenges."
Alex openly frowned. "What’s the point in that? Everyone is challenging and being challenged around a circle. You could have 2 people, and you would have enough," he said.
"That’s not the point. It’s about etiquette and your responsibility for having joined this community," the man said. "You will get out of that formation right now and join the others in doing challenges."
Alex looked at the man directly in the eyes for a long few seconds and let out a sigh. "If you say so."
The man grinned. "Yes, get out—"
"I’m leaving the community," Alex finished.
The man and several others watched him with awe. "You... want to leave?"
"You left me no other choice, so yes," Alex said. "Now please leave me alone."
The man waited for a few seconds before laughing out loud. "You wish to go against an entire community? Fine, we’ll show you—"
Alex added another formation to hide all sights and sounds and began cultivating. He ate a cultivation pill not long after that, fully invested in this session from the start. He was plenty aware that there were issues he would have to deal with after the 2 months were over, but he didn’t care enough about that to let it remain in his mind for long.
He simply put all his attention into cultivating, with the occasional addition of energy to his Heavenly Clouds Origin. The 2 months passed relatively quickly, and by the end of the 2 months, Alex had made some progress.
He would need many decades, if not more, to actually break through again, and that wasn’t even focusing on the part where he needed to improve his Origins even more throughout.
Once the 2 months came to an end, Alex thought of cultivating some more, but he realized that he would rather do so going forward from the comfort of his home. There was no point in cultivating in such a situation at all.
Especially because he didn’t have to stay the entire 2 decades that still remained. He just needed to stay long enough for him to get all 5000 stars, one each from every person he could get to call him the Sun God.
So long as he finished that early, he could leave and return to the Sky God’s Realm, where he could cultivate in a much better environment.
So, now that the 2 months had come to an end, Alex put away the formation plates that still ran and left the area. It was late in the afternoon when he finally got out of his cultivation zone and found several other people either challenging each other or just sitting around, cultivating.
"You!" the voice of the person from before came again, and Alex turned to find the man near Luo Qingruo, quickly walking up to him. At the same time, everyone who was not engaged in something important came to see what would happen.
"You!" the man said again, his voice carrying a hint of anger. "You’re finally out."
Alex nodded. "I’m guessing you want to challenge me. If so, let us make a deal. Call me the Sun God, and I’ll go easy on you."
