Chapter 3669: Helen and Liz’s Choices
Once Alex said his final goodbyes, he left the courtyard. The Sky God accompanied him, leaving behind Yang Renye to be alone forever. Alex hated just what had been done to the man, but there was nothing he could do about it at all.
He turned to the Sky God to ask if she would be willing to make any changes for him, only to see a look on her face that told him just how hard this was for her as well. Seeing that, he could not bring himself to speak at all.
Alex returned to his courtyard then and brought over Hao Ya and Ronron to tell them about his visit. Both of them were happy to hear about the man, and yet, at the same time, they were saddened to learn what he was going through.
"Is it true that if we gain enough merits, we will have a chance to meet him in the future?" Hao Ya asked with a hopeful look on her face.
Alex nodded. "That is what she told me, so it must be true," he said.
"Then I’ll do my best."
Both of the women were burning with determination at that point, and they both returned to cultivate.
Alex returned to his own cultivation sessions as well, but rather than properly cultivate, he was busy learning more about the two techniques he needed to merge for Pearl. In the meantime, all he could do was work on his Origins and fill the parts that were still empty.
Since his 4 Origins had already been completely filled, the ones that remained were the Void Gate Origin, Blank Canvas Pill Origin, Heavenly Cloud Origin, and finally, the Yellow Fog Origin.
At the Immortal Transcendent 5th realm, each one of his Origins had to be more than half filled. If he somehow broke through to the 6th realm soon, then he would need each one to be about two-thirds full. So, rather than alternating between breakthroughs and partially filling up his Origins, Alex came to the decision that he would rather just finish it all at once.
That would also leave him time later on to focus on the other stuff that he had been putting off, such as fastening the rest of the Pill bugs and figuring out what to do with them exactly.
There was so much more he needed to train in that aspect.
After cultivating for some time, Alex left his room to see how the rest of them were doing.
Hannah had left the world some years ago and wouldn’t return for some time longer. This time around, she had gone to the Eternal Isles, from what he had heard, a place that Alex hadn’t been to yet.
Long Huan was busy cultivating as well. Alex had given him the Origin technique already, so he had been focusing entirely on that.
The older Alex and Emily had entered the Saint Core realm and were now slowly preparing for their Immortal tribulations. Alex had already learned a Wood Dao, but Emily had yet to learn a Water Dao.
Pearl, Scarlet, and Whisker cultivated away in his Soul Space as well, and so did Ronron, who had entered the Immortal Origin 2nd realm now.
Graham showed incredible improvement thanks to what Alex had done by Pill Poisoning him. However, that improvement was still quite slow. It would still take him another few dozen years before he could reach the Immortal realm.
Finally, Alex met up with his mother and aunt, both of whom had been placing themselves through intense pain every day, all for the sake of improving their mental fortitude to split their Origins into 4 parts at the very least.
Alex’s aunt had succeeded in doing so first, followed by his mother, who had barely managed to do it apparently. The chances of them splitting it another time were just downright impossible at this moment.
"Have you given any thought to what Creations the two of you will get?" Alex asked the two on one particular day.
Helen looked toward Liz, seemingly having discussed it many times before.
"I will have to get the Creation my master wants to give me," Liz said.
Alex nodded. "That sounds fair. Time Reversal is quite strong after all."
"Aside from that..." Liz put on a thoughtful look. "I don’t want to become a beast, so I’ll instead take the dragon scale you have. That sounds... fine, right?"
Alex lightly chuckled. "That’s the scale of a Primordial. It is more than fine."
Liz smiled. "Aside from that, I’ll hopefully be learning something that has to do with Space. Void-based Divinations require understanding of Space, so I need to get something to help myself understand it better," she said.
"Space..." Alex thought. "I can’t think of anything you could use. Maybe Space stones?"
Liz scratched her head. "It apparently doesn’t work as a Creation. It just doesn’t have an aura at all, as though it is not a thing that should exist in this world."
Alex tilted his head in thought. "I do have a technique that can draw aura from things that don’t have aura. Maybe that can work?"
"Maybe?" Liz said. "But Ronron said it was impossible. The information comes straight from her master, so I assume she’s already tried everything."
"Oh... then maybe it is impossible," Alex said. If they had tried it, then he supposed he had no choice but to accept that as the truth.
"I’m sure I’ll find something for that," Liz said. "As for my last Creation, I’ll get one of the few things in your Soul Space. Maybe the fire. Maybe those Yang stones or whatever they’re called."
"Sunhearts," Alex said, nodding. "It might be good."
He turned toward Helen next. "What about you, mother?"
"I think I’ll get the Sunfire. I will have to get your cauldron since she’s so good too," Helen said. "I also want the pen-like artifact that Her Brilliance gave me previously. And then... maybe I’ll get those pills of yours too. They look promising."
Alex raised an eyebrow. "Well, looks like you’re all set on what you want. You’ll reach the Immortal Transcendent realm soon, so learn whatever you like without any worry."
