Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3646: The Result

Chapter 3646: The Result

Alex waited for the 20 minutes that Ronron had mentioned it would take at the least. Nothing happened in that period at all. Then, it slowly reached 30 minutes, and still he saw nothing. That was the same at 40 minutes, and then at 50.

As the hour mark approached, Alex began worrying if something might have gone wrong with whatever the thread of weak aura was doing. Then, around 5 minutes after the hour mark had been crossed, he sensed the thread approaching him.

Only, it came from the opposite direction entirely.

As Alex saw the thread, he wondered at what point the thread must have changed direction to now come from behind. Had it somehow circumnavigated his Soul Space and looped back in a large circumference to appear right where it had started?

However, from what he understood of his Soul Space, it did not act that way. While a normal Soul Space may be of a certain size with limits placed on it, his Soul Space acted differently.

Pearl had mentioned it to him before. Back when the Storm God had sealed his Soul Space, Pearl had to travel his Soul Space to find all the various pills and ingredients that were scattered throughout it. During that point, he had traveled in a single direction for days and yet never come to the edge of his Soul Space.

After that, Alex understood that the space within his Soul Space folded in such a strange way that if one were to move continuously in one direction, they would loop right back to where they started.

They wouldn’t have gone around in a circle but a straight line, which would determine the diameter of their Soul Space.

That was exactly what the single thread of energy had done.

As soon as the energy arrived right back and touched it at the start, the entire thing let out a strange pulse. The pulse moved in one direction, at a speed that was pretty much as quick as light, and around 5 seconds later, it arrived from the other direction.

Once the pulse reached the starting point, the entire thread crumbled and vanished. Any aura still reaching into him drew back and the glowing blue light of the formation grew dim before completely turning off.

Alex felt the entire thing come to a stop, at which point he finally opened his eyes and looked around.

"Is it done?" he asked, turning to look at Ronron. His eyes widened when he noticed the Sky God and a bunch of other Reverends and Sages standing next to where Ronron had been all alone before.

He hadn’t noticed anyone arriving at all, so seeing so many people there had taken him by surprise.

"The test is done. You can step away," the Sky God said.

Alex slowly stood and walked out of the formation, his eyes focused on the group that had arrived.

"Is something the matter?" he asked.

"You were taking too long, so Ronron called for me," the Sky God answered.

"Oh. Was I? I thought an hour was expected," he said. "I might have gone a bit beyond it though, but that shouldn’t be too bad. Or have I unknowingly ended up making some mistake?"

"That was what I believed at first," the Sky God said before a small smile formed on her face. "However, once I realized that was not the case, I called for anyone willing to see this test being performed. It’s not every day they get to see it. Especially not from the most talented individual to ever grace our land."

"Oh!" Alex looked at the rest of them.

He recognized a few of them, such as Greensoul, Riftblade, Silkspear, and Brasswing. There was the Wind Sage Fairspring as well, whom he had come to be acquainted with through Hannah. But beyond those, he didn’t recognize many. But they had to be important too.

Everyone seemed genuinely excited.

"So, what was my result?" Alex asked.

"It’s being processed. It will take a few seconds," the Sky God said and waited. No one else dared speak another word and simply waited as well.

After a while, one of the soldiers quickly ran over with a talisman and handed it to the Sky God. She looked into it, her eyes betraying her surprise immediately.

"Incredible," she said in a soft voice.

Alex gulped. "What’s the result?" he asked.

The Sky God slowly pulled the talisman away. "Do you know what my result was?" she asked.

"Ronron said it was 3 times as large as this realm, so... about 900 thousand kilometers in radius?" Alex asked.

"Close enough. It’s nearly a million kilometers," the Sky God said. "And more so, do you understand how many Space Stones I’ve used to achieve that result?"

Alex blinked. "How many? Was it not the result of a single one?"

The Sky God shook her head. "Beyond the first one, I’ve managed to refine 2 other smaller Space Stones. And those together are what has pushed my Soul Space to be of a size with a radius of a million kilometers."

Alex was quite surprised that one could consume more than one Space Stone. That was a good thing to have found out. Still, the result took precedence in his mind, so he urged the Sky God for the answer.

"So how large is mine?"

"750 thousand kilometers," the Sky God answered, leading to several gasps from all around. Each person looked at him as though he were a monster right then.

"750?" Alex asked.

That was nearly 4 times as large as Ronron’s Soul Space.

"Your Soul Space’s radius is three-fourths of the way as big as mine," the Sky God continued. "You could take in two of the realms we’re in and still have enough space to make use of. You could take in the entire Formation Monarch’s realm and not have an issue either. It’s that large."

"And considering you managed to get a Soul Space as big as you have, with just a single Space Stone that wasn’t even nearly as big as the first one I used, that is just incredible."
