Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3623 Preparations

Chapter 3623 Preparations

The Sky God held a strange expression on her face, which Alex could somewhat understand. After all, how did one respond to a sudden change in the status quo of their standing? She had suddenly gone from being one of the strongest people alive at the moment to someone who now had a clear superior.

The Moon Goddess's presence was a threat.

Of course, the Sky God was not such a vain individual that she would act against someone who, for now, was still weaker than her. However, given the possibility of her growth, she could not imagine the situation remaining the same when the other gods were involved.

She would have to alert the other gods after all; they would most certainly have other plans.

"I'll gather the other gods. The demons certainly won't bring their entire group, so we'll need to make a decision as to who gets to leave with us. That should take some time."

Alex stayed to the side, watching. At some point, when he felt like it was fine to do so, he interjected.

"Can I come along?" he asked.

The Sky God turned toward him. "You wish to come with us?" she asked.

Alex nodded. "Considering who she is, I believe it might be a good idea for me to come along. I could help establish peace since I'm more than acquainted with the Moon Goddess," he said.

The Sky God considered his suggestion for a short period and nodded.

"That sounds like a decent idea," she said. "I'll think about it."

Alex was thankful. "I imagine the talk is happening soon?"

"Soon for us," the Sky God said. "You might think it to be a longer period instead."

Alex narrowed his eyes. "When are we going?"

"I'll need to first bring the other gods for a decision, and then we'll know. At the very least, it will take about a couple hundred years," the Sky God answered.

Alex nodded slowly. "So… after the Godkiller's tomb opening?"

"Much longer after that," the Sky God answered. "I wouldn't be surprised if it was close to 500 years from now. But it most likely won't take that long."

Alex nodded slowly. "So long as it is before the time for me to return to the Myriad Spirit Realm, I will accompany you all. Hopefully, I will have dealt with this situation with the Fire God by then, and the Storm God won't come after me so aggressively anymore."

The Sky God shrugged. "Perhaps you could even use this opportunity as an excuse to get away from being targeted by them," she said.

Alex raised his eyebrows. That was certainly not a bad idea.

"I can certainly try that. Still, I must prepare for any other ways I can use to survive the Fire God."

The Sky God nodded. She was more or less done with the conversation, so she waved her hand, sending him away. "You can leave for now. We will talk at some other time in the future. Go return to whatever you were doing. If you want to go back to the other city, you can do so too."

Alex thanked the Sky God and left the palace. There was no need for him to return to the city again now that he had bought everything he had wanted to. All he really needed now was to return to his courtyard and properly start cultivating.

There were pills that needed to be made, which would now be what he focused solely on to help with both his cultivation as well as his next set of experiments.

Alex checked with his family and friends who were still inside his Soul Space, unaware of whatever had happened at all. He allowed them an opportunity to leave should they wish to, as he would be heading toward a deeper cultivation session.

Not wanting to ruin his cultivation, the group decided to either stay or leave right away.

Those who were staying would be cultivating for the short period of time it took for Alex to make the pills and start his closed cultivation. Those who left would be spending the short time outside so they could return to the Soul Space later to enter a closed cultivation session, just like Alex.

After the decisions were made, Alex began making the pills.

With the hundreds of ingredients making dozens of unique pills, it meant that Alex couldn't make pills in a large batch to complete it quickly. He had to take his time, making a pill or two each time around, focusing on them to make sure he made no mistake.

Since most of the pills he was making were created by him recently, he hadn't had the opportunity to test them out beforehand at all. He was directly testing them while making the pills as well.

Of course, with his understanding of pills and alchemy, he made no mistakes at all.

Alex did consider what he could possibly do with his pills should he find a way to pour stronger energy into them. From what he had come to vaguely understand about Qi and energy in general, it had something to do with gaining intelligence when there was a lot of it there.

He still wasn't fully clear on it, but he wanted to test it out sometime in the future. For now, he simply made the pills.

Three months passed as Alex slowly cultivated between the pill-making sessions. And then, once he made the pills, he was finally ready to start cultivating seriously.

He met up with the rest of his family and spent some time with them while explaining his future plans.

"I will be cultivating for a long time," he explained. "I won't leave my room for perhaps half a century. I truly need to do this, so I hope you all understand."

His family did, of course, understand.

"Do what it is you need to do," his mother told him within the group. "We should be focused on our own cultivation sessions as well. Once we're done, we can meet again."
