Chapter 781: Chapter 383: Let Him Scout the Path Himself

"Captain, is this really okay? What if he runs into danger..."

Han Ruoxi said, a little worried.

"Don’t worry. He has bodyguards with him. Nothing will happen,"

Li Chang’an said nonchalantly.

"Besides, it’s better to let him scout ahead. It saves us the time."

"Alright..."

Han Ruoxi nodded. Although she was still concerned, she didn’t say anything more.

"Let’s go. Time for us to move out, too,"

Li Chang’an said to his squad members.

"Bai Lin, start tracking the source of the Energy fluctuations. Qiuyue, Sun Yang, Ruo Xi, you’re with me. We’ll search the surrounding area first."

"Understood!"

The squad members responded in unison and began to act on Li Chang’an’s orders.

Bai Lin set up the detection equipment on the transport ship and began scanning the surrounding area for Energy fluctuations.

Meanwhile, Shen Qiuyue, Sun Yang, and Han Ruoxi followed Li Chang’an, spreading out in different directions across the mine area to begin their search.

The Kars Mine Area was a desolate wasteland, littered with rubble and pits. The terrain was rugged and uneven, making it extremely difficult to traverse.

A gray mist hung in the air, keeping visibility low. This, combined with all sorts of strange noises, created an oppressive and unsettling atmosphere.

"Captain, this place feels a little weird. I can’t shake the feeling that something’s watching us,"

Sun Yang said in a low voice, warily scanning his surroundings as he walked.

"Yeah, be careful. There could be unknown dangers here."

Li Chang’an nodded, his sharp gaze sweeping across their environment.

"Qiuyue, Ruo Xi, you two stay safe and remain alert."

"Understood!"

Shen Qiuyue and Han Ruoxi both responded, slowing their pace to search the area more cautiously.

"Huh? Captain, come quick! I think there’s something here!"

Suddenly, Han Ruoxi’s voice called out, tinged with surprise and excitement.

Li Chang’an, Shen Qiuyue, and Sun Yang immediately ran toward her voice, quickly arriving at her location.

Han Ruoxi was standing at the edge of a massive pit, pointing toward the bottom with a curious expression on her face.

The pit was extremely deep, its bottom shrouded in pitch-black darkness. Nothing was visible, but they could faintly sense a weak Energy fluctuation emanating from its depths—one that was very similar to the source Bai Lin had detected.

"Is this... the source of the Energy fluctuations?"

Shen Qiuyue frowned, her tone grave as she stared into the pit’s dark bottom.

"It’s very likely. Bai Lin’s detector shows this is the area with the strongest Energy fluctuations."

Li Chang’an nodded, his gaze profound as he looked into the bottom of the pit.

"It seems the ruins... are down there."

"Whoa, it’s so deep. How are we supposed to get down?"

Sun Yang peeked over the edge at the pit’s depth, speaking with astonishment.

"Plus, it’s pitch-black down there. We can’t see a thing, and who knows what dangers are lurking."

"Don’t worry, I have a way."

The corners of Li Chang’an’s mouth lifted slightly, a confident smile spreading across his face.

"Ruo Xi, use your Superpower to light up the bottom."

"Huh? Me?"

Han Ruoxi froze for a moment, pointing to herself as she asked in surprise.

"Can I use my Electric Energy for light?"

"Of course you can. Your Electric Superpower isn’t just for attacking; it can be used for illumination, too. Give it a try,"

Li Chang’an encouraged her.

"Okay, I’ll try!"

Han Ruoxi nodded, took a deep breath, and closed her eyes. She began to focus, marshaling the Electric Energy within her body.

A faint electric glow began to flicker around her body. The light grew brighter and brighter, gradually converging in her hands to form a dazzling ball of light.

Han Ruoxi slowly opened her eyes. The moment she did, the ball of light in her hands erupted with an intense flash, illuminating the pitch-black bottom of the pit.

The scene at the bottom of the pit was laid bare before their eyes.

The bottom of the pit was not dark at all, but rather a vast, subterranean cavern. The space was incredibly wide, its ceiling covered in massive stalactites. The ground was scattered with oddly shaped rocks and some kind of unknown plants.

And in the center of this underground space, an ancient and mysterious structure stood in silence.

The entire building was a rustic gray color, with a peculiar design that exuded an air of mystery. Its surface was covered with all sorts of complex lines and patterns, radiating an ancient, time-worn aura.

"Oh my god, it really is the ruins!"

Sun Yang’s eyes went wide, his face a mask of shock as he stared at the ancient structure at the bottom of the pit.

"This... This is a ruin from an ancient civilization?"

Shen Qiuyue’s eyes were also wide as she looked down at the building, her voice trembling with excitement.

Han Ruoxi also gazed excitedly at the ruins, a happy smile on her face as the ball of light in her hands grew even brighter.

As Li Chang’an looked at the ruins, a complex glint flashed in his eyes.

"Tsk tsk, what a dump."

Suddenly, a discordant voice cut in from nearby, shattering the Insect Hunter Squad’s excitement.

Zhou Ze, flanked by his two bodyguards, sauntered over, the same look of disgust on his face.

"Hey, what are you all doing here? Did you find the ruins?"

He walked to the edge of the pit, glanced down, and immediately frowned.

"This is it? These are the ruins you were talking about? Doesn’t look like much. It’s just a pile of junk. What’s so great about it?"

His tone was filled with disdain, as if the ancient ruins before him were nothing more than a pile of garbage.
