Chapter 6478: Immortal Artifact
Chapter 6478: Immortal Artifact
This eternal spirit was the lord of Paramount and the source of life. Cultivators naturally wanted to catch it and use its power, hence the risk they took delving into the river.
Alas, the temporal river forced them to stop for stability. They looked ahead and saw a mysterious abyss near the source.
It was always there, only visible now that Paramount had been pushed upward. Its true size couldn’t be fathomed.
Sea of Heavenly Sin was immensely tough, the same for the dreams. However, the abyss looked like a hole leading to the unknown.
Everyone feared it because it could be between dreams and reality. Entering meant being pushed by both sides, suicidal even for primal emperors.
Li Qiye glanced at the spirit and didn’t try to catch it. His focus was on the abyss, gazing toward the bottom.
“Sacred Teacher, save, save...” No one but he could hear the cry for help from the abyss.
He frowned after hearing this.
“Sacred Teacher, save...” Nothing came after these words as if the speaker had run out of strength or worse, died.
Li Qiye immediately traveled toward the abyss to everyone’s astonishment. He had the clear upper hand against the lord of Paragon.
Skyraiser, Nine-turns, and many others were prepared to risk their lives defending Paragon.
“He wants the eternal spirit?” Ocean-gaze wondered.
As Li Qiye traveled through the river, Tenacious saw him.
“Impossible!” He was shocked because this figure had traumatized him in the past.
He rubbed his eyes and the figure was still there.
“It’s him...” He forgot to stop the temporal changes emanating from the river.
Li Qiye paid him no mind and appeared above the abyss.
There was another - a girl holding a dao chain locking something beneath.
She looked to have merged with the darkness despite wearing a white robe. She was extraordinarily beautiful with a delicate nose and red lips. Her eyes shined like the stars. Everything about her was immaculate and perfectly shaped.
Nevertheless, none dared to approach due to her unique aura - a night goddess capable of reaping lives. Instead of being captivated by her beauty, one would shiver as if death was approaching.
The chain in her hand was locked onto something floating in the abyss - an ancient jar with simple yet incomprehensible runes. However, it wasn’t a wine jar since there were several holes drilled on the surface.
It was an old musical instrument - a flute of sorts. A faint immortal glow traced the surface, seemingly weaving a matchless symphony. To play it required immense strength and comprehension.
The reward would be a song capable of annihilating everything with each note. It was an immortal artifact tethered to the fabric of space via strings of particles.
It fell from the real world into the dream realm. However, the strings of particles held it in place, albeit on the verge of snapping due to the girl’s chain.
She was surprised to see Li Qiye, considering him a competitor for the immortal artifact.
“I found it first.” Her tone was pleasant but still pierced the heart like a deadly blade.
“It’s not yours.” Li Qiye glanced at it and furrowed his brows.
“Now it is.” She became nervous and unleashed her strength.
“Clank!” The chain in her hand multiplied and latched onto the spatial fabrics nearby.
She pulled with all her might.
“Creak!” Since the artifact was between dream and reality, their collision caused her to spurt blood profusely. She maintained her grip, refusing to let go.
