Chapter 334: Dai Mubai and the Others’ Schadenfreude Toward Tang San

Chapter 334: Dai Mubai and the Others’ Schadenfreude Toward Tang San

The training ground at Blue Tyrant Academy.

The members of Shrek were all engaged in intense training.

The battle between the Royal Fighting Team and the Blazing Fire Team had genuinely spurred them on.

Dai Mubai punched the testing stone, sending fragments flying.

He shook the dust from his hand, his heterochromatic eyes narrowing slightly as he glanced sideways at Tang San, who was sitting cross-legged not far away.

The Blue Silver Grass in front of Tang San stood crookedly.

Its leaves were yellowed, drooping limply to the ground like a wild plant wilted by the sun.

Without activating a Spirit Ability, it couldn’t even perform the most basic Binding action.

On the other side of the training ground, Yu Tianheng and the others were not idle either.

The entire training ground was bustling with activity, waves of spirit power rising and falling.

Except for the corner where Tang San was.

It was as quiet and deserted as another World.

Tang San sat cross-legged on the ground, his hands forming seals as the Internal Energy of the Mysterious Heaven Skill steadily circulated through his Meridians.

He could feel that the pathways for spirit power within his body were completely unobstructed, and the circulation of his Internal Energy was proceeding normally.

Yet, whenever spirit power was channeled into his Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul, it was like pouring water into a bottomless barrel.

There was not the slightest reaction.

The leaves of the Blue Silver Grass trembled faintly, then continued to droop.

Tang San took a deep breath, suppressing the irritation churning in his heart.

He tried to channel his spirit power once more. The Blue Silver Grass barely lifted its tip, but couldn’t hold it for more than three breaths before going limp again.

The feeling was like practicing punches against a wall—every punch landed solidly, yet the wall remained completely unmoved.

"Again," Tang San muttered, his frown deepening.

He had never encountered such a situation since his Spirit’s Awakening.

Although the Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul was looked down upon by many, he had always known its potential far exceeded common perception.

But in its current state, it couldn’t even release the most basic Spirit Ability normally, let alone undergo Cultivation and improvement.

The Internal Energy of the Mysterious Heaven Skill circulated rapidly through his Meridians for two cycles.

He attempted to nourish the Martial Soul with purer Internal Energy. The roots and stem of the Blue Silver Grass glowed faintly for a moment before dimming again.

Tang San clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white.

He had tried every method he could think of over the past few days. Whether increasing spirit power input or altering the circulation route, the result was always the same.

The Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul seemed to be sick, yet there was no discernible root cause to be found.

Just as Tang San was about to channel his Internal Energy again, footsteps sounded from the training ground entrance.

The footsteps were unhurried, making steady sounds on the stone-paved ground.

Tang San recognized the rhythm of those footsteps.

He opened his eyes and, as expected, saw Yu Xiaogang walking toward him.

The Grandmaster wore a faded gray robe, his expression as stern as ever.

But Tang San noticed the Grandmaster’s brow was furrowed more tightly than usual.

When his gaze fell upon the wilted Blue Silver Grass, the corner of his mouth twitched almost imperceptibly.

"Little San."

Yu Xiaogang walked up to Tang San, his tone brief and direct. "Stop Cultivating. Come with me."

Tang San was taken aback.

He glanced at the wilted Blue Silver Grass before him, then looked up at the Grandmaster.

The Grandmaster never lightly interrupted his Cultivation sessions.

Even if Tang San practiced until dark, the Grandmaster would only watch quietly from the side, occasionally offering guidance.

For him to come to the training ground today to call a halt was unusual in itself.

"Teacher, has something happened?"

Suppressing the irritation in his heart, Tang San stood up and patted the dust from his clothes.

Yu Xiaogang offered no explanation. He simply turned and walked away, tossing back a single sentence: "Follow me. You’ll know when we get there."

Tang San hesitated for a moment, looking down at the Blue Silver Grass on the ground.

As if sensing his emotions, the Martial Soul swayed its tip weakly, then transformed into a faint blue light and retreated back into his body.

Tang San stepped forward to follow Yu Xiaogang.

The stone path of the training ground was scorching hot from the sun, the heat seeping up through the soles of his shoes.

The sounds of combat and shouts from the distance gradually grew fainter.

Following the Grandmaster, Tang San passed through a side gate and proceeded along a small path covered in gravel.

The Grandmaster’s pace was quick. Tang San could sense the tension emanating from his teacher.

Behind them, Ma Hongjun, who had been stealing glances from within the training ground, withdrew his gaze.

The Phoenix flames in his palm had just extinguished.

The Fatty wiped the sweat from his face with his sleeve and plopped down next to Dai Mubai, his bottom hitting the stone step with a dull thud.

His chubby face wore an expression of someone who enjoyed watching trouble brew, his eyes darting around twice.

"Boss Dai, did you notice?"

Ma Hongjun gestured with his chin in the direction Tang San had left.

Dai Mubai was wiping sweat from his arm with a cloth. Hearing this, he glanced at Ma Hongjun, the cloth resting on his shoulder as he remained silent.

Ma Hong Shun lowered his voice further, his tone carrying a clear note of schadenfreude. "That guy Tang San’s Spirit seems to have a problem."

"I’ve been observing these past few days. That Blue Silver Grass of his can’t even use the most basic Binding. The spirit power fluctuations are getting weaker day by day, with no sign of improvement at all."

"You didn’t see it last time. When he tried to activate his Spirit, the grass leaves shook like they were having a seizure, but the tip didn’t even lift."

After speaking, he chuckled twice and nudged Dai Mubai with his elbow.

"The Grandmaster specifically came to find him just now. Probably noticed it too."

"Wasn’t Tang San usually so capable? twin spirits, Innate full spirit power, Cultivation speed faster than anyone else?"

"Well, now his Spirit has a problem. Let’s see how Divine Qi he can be."

Dai Mubai’s sweat-wiping movement paused.

He was silent for two seconds, then casually tossed the cloth onto the stone step beside him, a slow curve forming at the corner of his mouth.

"His Spirit has a problem?"

Dai Mubai leaned against a stone pillar, crossing his arms over his chest, a trace of barely perceptible satisfaction hidden in his voice.

"That’s interesting information. A twin spirits failing? Who would believe such a thing if told?"

Oscar sidled over from nearby, having already finished the Recovery Sausage in his hand.

He licked the grease from his lips, a meaningful smile appearing on his face.

"No wonder Tang San’s expression has been off these past few days, all gloomy, just like that limp Blue Silver Grass of his. So he really ran into trouble."

"That Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul of his has a low Bloodline to begin with. If it really has a problem, it probably won’t be easy to fix, right? What if it becomes useless? Then he’d only have—"

He didn’t finish the sentence, but the meaning in his eyes was clear to everyone.

Ma Hongjun immediately chimed in, his smile so wide his eyes narrowed to slits. "Only the Clear Sky Hammer left? That thing—dare he just reveal it casually!"

"Who knows. But for us, this isn’t a bad thing either."

Dai Mubai tossed the cloth aside, stretched his arms, and added in a flat tone,

"At least we don’t have to worry about being overshadowed by him for now."

The three exchanged glances and each let out a short laugh.

The smile on Ma Hongjun’s face was the broadest, Undisguised his delight at Tang San’s misfortune, his shoulders shaking with laughter.

"I always said heaven is fair."

"So what if he has twin spirits with Innate full spirit power? Let him get cocky. Serves him right for crashing now."

"Heh."

Oscar’s laughter was more restrained, but a subtle sense of satisfaction lingered at the corners of his eyes and brows. He leisurely pulled another Sausage from his pocket and took a bite.

Dai Mubai didn’t laugh out loud, but the curve at his mouth never faded.

His gaze lingered for a moment in the direction Tang San had disappeared, then he looked away.

Walking back to the center of the training ground, he flexed his wrists. Battle Intent reignited in his heterochromatic eyes.

Not the Battle Intent aimed at the Royal Fighting Team.

But a more personal, darker sense of competitiveness.

"Keep training," he said, tossing out the command.
