Chapter 5386: The Point Of Change?
Chapter 5386: The Point Of Change?
Davis stared at Esvele for a few seconds.
He felt that she was bold to try this on him, making physical contact while he was all alone in some abandoned corner of the mansion. He couldn’t even tell how she appeared before him since he was focused on the Harem Council, and his mind casually ignored her presence since she was a trusted ally.
Yet, funnily enough, he couldn’t sense her emotions swaying at all. It wasn’t frozen in place, but there wasn’t any high or even low swelling either.
The emotional waves were rather minimal, which was usual for any lifeform going about their mundane daily life without anything happening.
Davis was inwardly dumbfounded.
Even if he used Level Three Obscure Intent to investigate her, it was still the same.
If he had to assess Esvele, he would put her in a category that said she had full control over her emotions like an otherworldly mythical being.
However, it made no sense since he knew what type of person Esvele was.
Davis blinked and asked, "Are you studying to be a physician?"
"Yes~"
Esvele nodded with a light bow, "I didn’t have the time before, but thanks to Master agreeing to bring in more maids, my duties have decreased considerably, giving me enough time to pursue my cultivation and even learn a few occupations. Other than learning inscriptions and talisman crafting, I chose being a physician because, as a maid, I need to look after the household and the health of the people living in it regardless of the healing masters in the house."
"I see."
"Is danger really approaching?"
"Not a chance." Davis didn’t seem amused as he leaned back and folded his arms, shoving his fists into his sleeves.
Esvele blinked, "Is Master looking for a fight already?"
"No."
"Then why does Master look dissatisfied?
"You wouldn’t understand."
Davis didn’t bother to explain.
How can he go around saying he measured danger by seeing if his wives got pregnant or not? The chaos-life yang essence being conceived was the only tangible way of noticing danger for a fact, as far as he knew, other than his own premonitions and fate scrying techniques, and life-threatening danger perception, but these were intangible and could not be relied upon easily.
Nonetheless, he knew this matter shouldn’t be conversed about lightly since that would also affect fate and affect the prediction method, but more so his reputation, since people would rather believe he had gone impotent than believe he had derived such a fate danger-prediction method.
As far as he heard, it was natural to go impotent when someone neared Empyrean levels of strength.
It didn’t mean that they were completely impotent, but other than primal yang essence, ordinary yang essence relatively wouldn’t have the chance to create a new life. The number of times they would have to try was simply beyond measure when it came to intimacy; they would become exhausted and bored instead. It was the same as being impotent or barren.
Drake was dual cultivating with his wives like a rabbit day and night, but he only had two children despite trying to have more. He was a yang cultivator who had more chances to sire progeny. Sure, ever since he absorbed annihilative heavenly yang, his virility may have been destroyed partly, but Davis had never come across someone who had a yang aura as powerful as Drake’s at the same level.
Davis understood the only reason why he had so many children was because of ’life’ that was more nurturing than yang, and then ’chaos’ that skewed the chances in his favor when the danger was relatively high. Otherwise, he would be hard-pressed to sire more children like now, where he wasn’t getting any success despite having the most fun in the decade.
He kept thinking he needed to learn Saint Riyal Mendez’s Divine Technique, but he still hadn’t made much progress because he was busy with administrative work, enhancing his son’s abilities, and bringing intimate comfort to his wives to soothe their emotions.
Now, he took a small break and visited Frostrose, but it turned into a mess of his making.
Esvele didn’t probe. She moved two steps back and stood respectfully with her head bowed lightly, perhaps because she wasn’t pardoned yet, with Davis still staring at her.
In reality, he was already back to viewing the scene taking place in the Harem Council.
Frostrose started to explain how and when they started this affair, and how it led to them sleeping together.
Flamerose listened with a sullen expression on her face, but she didn’t gaze at Frostrose a single time ever since she appeared.
Back then, the Davis Family members journeyed to the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm, subdued the Eternal Twilight Lower Realm’s Daynight Family’s three princes, and saved Flamerose and Frostrose. By that time, the twin sisters had lost their seniority because Davis had become more powerful than them, and after he invited them, they chose to become a part of the Davis Family’s guardian beasts through Shirley.
Naturally, they formed a beast pact with Shirley since it was beneficial for their future.
Then the twin sisters journeyed and crossed into the Elemental Dimension, where they had spent a lot of time bonding with Shirley and her sisters.
They were treated like family.
However, there was a change one day.
It was the moment when Flamerose confronted Davis, saying she liked him after an incident where Dewzai spouted nonsense about Davis being a great seducer kind of being, but Flamerose had run away because she panicked when Davis amusedly tried to talk her into sharing a kiss.
Frostrose felt like she had been silently abandoned. Didn’t they make a promise to talk about it before confessing to a man together?
So how come Flamerose made the first move?
She felt slighted, but that didn’t warrant her being this secretive.
At first, Frostrose was content just silently gazing at Davis and watching his growth, but she admitted she didn’t know what got hold of her; she found herself resting on top of Davis while he had been sleeping and seduced him for the first time.
Then their intimate gestures grew more every time they met, nearly sleeping together during the auction, but didn’t, because it was no longer a dream to her but a reality where she needed to consider everyone and their opinions, including Flamerose.
That was when she truly decided to become his Mistress.
