Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 5211: Beginning Of A Golden Era

Chapter 5211: Beginning Of A Golden Era

Davis looked above.

Why didn’t Fairy Qiyra Darkstar escape with the others?

For this very reason, he had given her the Temporal Voidplane Ring. With that kind of treasure in her hand and her twilight powers, who could catch her in this layer?

He was never afraid of being sealed because he had Fairy Qiyra Darkstar to switch him out since she possessed his soul essence. He didn’t know if it would work if he was sealed in the Stormheart Incarnation Prism, but he had never thought of abandoning their plan just because a sealing replica was brought to the scene.

But now that Fairy Qiyra Darkstar was still here, it might put the escape plan in jeopardy and all of their lives in danger.

After all, unlike him and Fairy Qiyra Darkstar, Fairy Divinacia, Jaiyan, and Laphria Rinmei could not be considered undying in this layer.

He had predicted that Fairy Qiyra Darkstar would’ve prioritized her junior disciples and left, so why was she still here!?

Could it be that his emotional strategy to get them here and support him in this endeavor ended up backfiring on himself?

Davis took a light breath filled with the essence of life, calming himself down in a moment.

His sapphire eyes glowed with a sharp glint as he gazed at the Celestial Transcendent.

"I felt a great disturbance in the realm... as if quadrillions of voices suddenly cried out in joy but were suddenly silenced by heavenly propaganda. Could it be that the Supreme Ruler still wants to attack me now after all I did for this galaxy?"

"..."

The Celestial Transcendent looked at him with a strange gaze.

The Desolate Era began because of the Divine Emperor of Death.

The Desolate Era also ended because of the Divine Emperor of Death.

One evil and one good end up canceling themselves, but as he looked at the skies, he saw the spread of heaven and earth energy, purer than anything he had ever felt. There was no way he could deny this merit.

"Many people like to make use of the term Golden Era to state the prosperity of their power, region, or realm, but they have never used it to describe a galaxy’s state, much less the universe. But this... this is the phenomenon marking the start of a true Golden Era."

The Celestial Transcendent flicked his sleeves as he reached out his hands towards the skies, appearing quite emotional, "I haven’t seen this even once. The last Golden Era was even beyond the Sky Emperor Eon, and at that time, I wasn’t even born. The human race was cultivators but still hadn’t stepped out of the racial bracket known as livestock."

His black pupils reflected the golden dragons spreading across the horizon, "How beautiful..."

"..."

Davis turned speechless.

He had no idea if he brought the Golden Era or not. His Cycle of Harvest Technique contained the insights to reap the root of death and sow the seeds of life to grow, even vice versa, depending on the state that the target being sliced was currently in, so it could be used as an offensive technique as well. With him managing to slice through the source of the Desolate Era, he imagined that he could bring the opposite: the Golden Era.

However, he didn’t bank on it. He felt it was good as long as it was back to what was considered the Stable Era. Heck, he was good as long as this damned Desolate Source disappeared.

To think it turned out to be true.

This was truly the Golden Era, with the Celestial Transcendent directly confirming it!

The Celestial Transcendent appeared to be mesmerized by the scene as though he had truly longed for it. After a few seconds, his expression slowly faded as he turned to look at Davis. Keeping his hands behind, he shot a disappointed look.

"I suppose this could at least be considered to be a mark of the true Golden Era reaching the entire realm and far beyond, although it is yet to be seen if it could cover an entire galaxy and spread across other galaxies. A pity- otherwise, Primarch Grade resources in the Greater Realm would grow in droves, and even the next grade’s resources would pop up more than I could hope to see."

He shook his head with a gentle sigh, "At the very least, our Upper Realms should have a period of growth until this source of the Golden Era disappears. The Upper Realms would start to produce more Primarch Grade resources, especially this one."

He clapped his hands, suddenly smiling, "Fortunately, the scourge known as the Hexadra Clan has left, and the Desolate Divergent himself is in a vulnerable state. Could there be any more of a good day for my galaxy? I think this is about the right time to seal you, don’t you think?"

"Well, if you’re going to attack, do it. I’d rather focus on accepting what this world gave me."

"Fairy Qiyra, can you hold him back for some time? I’ll be quickly done with absorbing this."

Davis asked using soul transmission.

It was even hijacked by the Celestial Transcendent’s senses, causing him to chuckle.

Davis didn’t bother. He waited for Fairy Qiyra Darkstar’s response as he started using the white stone replica to absorb the enormous amount of heavenly water. Since there was no heavenly Will in this water that was actively resisting him, he supposed that whatever gave him this wouldn’t be angry if he took it all for himself.

This was a standalone tribulation meant for him after all. It didn’t seem timed either, since it wasn’t thundering or forcing him to take action. All he could feel from it was that it wanted to heal and soothe him, make his body and soul powerful by tempering him.

"What? You want to steal this reward of mine?"

Davis spread his hands as if he owned the heavenly life lake.

"Brat, do you think I’d want to shabby lake? This lake couldn’t even be compared to what my wife could make for me to heal my injuries and soothe my heart after a long adventure. This Peak Exalt Grade heavenly life energy lake doesn’t even compare."

The Celestial Transcendent scoffed as he spoke pridefully.

He looked at Davis with a disdainful gaze before gazing into the distance, towards the Galaxy Wormhole Battlefield.

"This is hateful. The Galaxy Wormhole still doesn’t show signs of closing, but due to the poison your wife spread, it wouldn’t let the pure heaven and earth energy pass through that easily. Good, good..."

The Celestial Transcendent nodded with a satisfied look before his expression suddenly changed.

"That damned hydra... he’s absorbing all that poison into himself."

He clenched his teeth and cursed, "He knows the Golden Era is here and wants it to shroud his galaxy...!"

The Celestial Transcendent’s gaze turned furious.

If the Golden Era didn’t last long, this would mean that the share of growth received by his galaxy would fall by fifty percent!

After all, the Galaxy Wormhole was also in this realm.

"W-What’s going on?"

Davis clenched his teeth as he forced himself to ask.

Just now, the Celestial Transcendent mentioned the Hell Hydra Monarch. Who else could he address as that damned hydra? Who else could absorb the hell poison!?

Was Evelynn safe?

He could abandon his avatar, but the Frostcloud Sword Empress must definitely take Evelynn and the others away!

The Celestial Transcendent’s gaze flickered when he heard Davis.

He gazed down at him and also looked at him with a furious gaze.

"Why aren’t you just a normal lifeform? You would be treated like the most important human in our race’s history for this kind of merit."

"...!"

Davis felt incensed, "That’s what I want to know! I was born as a normal lifeform, grew as a normal lifeform, but it changed midway! But who cares about that!? I’ve long accepted that I’m a Divergent. Now, I want the reward for bringing about the Golden Era! Aren’t you the Supreme Ruler of the human race!? Aren’t you supposed to be fair!? I dare you to reward me. I double dare you to reward me and risk making an enemy out of all Heaven’s Warriors!"

"..."

The Celestial Transcendent raised one of his brows as he saw Davis finally show a crack in his expression.

"What? You’re going to ask me to save your Evelynn?"

"..."

Davis’s expression froze.

He didn’t know in what form the Hell Hydra Monarch arrived. If it were his true body, then he might probably be able to reach above the layer limit, and if he could reach above that, then the Frostcloud Sword Empress would also be hard-pressed to defend.

With Evelynn also connected with the Hell Poison Gem’s replica, he didn’t dare take any chances if she had been captured by the Hell Hydra Monarch, who might have full control over this replica, since, more than likely, Davis felt that the Hell Hydra Monarch possessed the Hell Poison Gem.

The Celestial Transcendent saw right through him.

Raising his hand, the Celestial Transcendent pressed on his eyelids and squeezed as though he was a bit tired.

"Your Evelynn has escaped along with you and your group. I already held back the Hell Hydra Monarch for you. Moreover, you honestly think you’d be able to try reversing the Desolate Era without me holding back at the last moment?"

He scoffed before turning to look above at the purple-white skies filled with golden-veined dragons.

"Besides, haven’t you sensed it?"

"..." Davis narrowed his brows, "Sense what?"

"Your aura is no longer that of a Desolate Divergent but an Anarchic Divergent."

"...!?" Davis’s sapphire pupils dilated.

Fairy Qiyra Darkstar and the eyes of the others shot wide in shock.

"This means that the universe has accepted that a part of you and your fate is something that it bears." The Celestial Transcendent said softly, his gaze lowering as he once again focused on Davis.

"Speak, what kind of reward do you want?"
