Chapter 4461: Fifth Year
Chapter 4461: Fifth Year
Fifth year, the sixth month of the Covenant.
Shortly before Davis entered seclusion in the fourth year after Schleya came to report on the progression of their expedition in the Nether Dimension, Ellia turned pregnant, so they decided to have a marriage. It was a joyous occasion, making Davis stay for some more time, and perhaps he was even more virile with every cultivation session he crossed, he made another two of his wives pregnant after the next session was over.
They were none other than Zestria and Tanya.
Zestria visited from the Verdant Vale Lower Realm, and it was supposed to be her turn to change with someone else who would become the Realm Master, so she squealed in joy, thinking the timing couldn’t be any more perfect. She switched with Lanqua, who had a big fight with Panqa because they did not want to leave Davis, but as a process of elimination using a coin toss, Lanqua had to go.
Davis told them he wouldn’t be there for half a year for the next cultivation session, so it would be useless for them to stay here hoping to meet him. Although Panqa and Lanqua already knew of it, only after he said did they leave, but still, who was first? They didn’t want to be first, and Lanqua ended up having to go after losing the elimination method.
Panqa inwardly rejoiced. Maybe she would also get pregnant in the next few weeks after having Davis all to herself.
Nonetheless, regarding the marriages, Davis married Ellia, Iesha, Tina, and Tanya in the past two years.
The marriages were conducted in an interval of two months, but after that, there was an interval of a year, so two per year.
Naturally, they learned their lesson from Lea’s marriage and didn’t host a realm-wide marriage. Of course, they could do it again, this time with more security since they knew that there would be attacks, but who would bother about that when all they wanted was for this to be a happy and joyful occasion?
They chose to invite only the people in the realms and their allies outside. However, for Iesha she only wished to be alone with him, so other than the harem and family members, no one was invited.
Iesha’s marriage was quick, but as a result, the family had greater cohesion due to being able to have the time to talk to each other and share many details.
They all thanked Iesha for suggesting what appeared to be a family get-together in the form of a marriage.
Ellia’s marriage was also similar but with more fanfare. They had a lot of fun since Mingzhi, Fiora, and the others came up with fun games to entertain the whole family, including the most preferred battles, especially battles among the children.
As for Tina, she had the greatest turnout and fanfare for her marriage. A grand competition with great rewards was held for the cities that month, where she personally awarded the winners. It made the people cheer for her like crazy, saying that she was the best wife, best Realm Master, and whatnot.
Tanya was too shy to marry after becoming pregnant, so there were fewer guests compared to Tina’s marriage but more compared to Iesha’s marriage. Davis didn’t want to tease her too much, so their marriage was solemn and sacred, filled with the intent to carry out duties no matter the situation.
Nonetheless, Davis was happy with entertaining all of them. It was like a new experience for him each time due to his cultivation sessions and also not getting to meet them for half a year or more, as he remained secluded. Each time he came out, he was more starved than he had expected. Besides, the marriage event was the only event his family held that made the family come together. There were no marriage anniversaries or even birthday celebrations except for the children, whose birthdays were celebrated in a small yet luxurious manner.
All in all, the Davis Family was quite peaceful and cultivating as hard as they could.
Today, Ellia had given birth while Zestria and Tanya were still pregnant.
Davis went to see Ellia in her chamber. She was waiting for him with the baby.
Outside, a group of maids, along with Esvele and Myria, remained, causing them to nod at him.
Davis tried to invite Myria in, but she shook her head, her eyes moist. She couldn’t even talk from the happiness filling her soul.
One of her own finally managed to give birth to a progeny. She felt like a grandmother, but even if it were not the case, she was intensely proud and full of relief that her lineage could continue without meeting a bad fate like all those incarnations.
Davis comforted Myria before he headed inside alone.
Inside, the soft cries of a newborn echoed faintly, mingling with the tender coos of a mother. The moment Davis stepped in, his gaze fell upon Ellia, her expression radiant with maternal warmth despite her obvious exhaustion. Her long white hair clung slightly to her forehead, but her black eyes sparkled brighter than ever.
She cradled a small bundle in her arms, a baby swaddled in silken robes laced with protective runes and life-attribute inscriptions hand-etched by none other than Myria herself.
"She’s beautiful..." Davis appeared beside her and spoke in a hushed voice, almost reverent.
Ellia chuckled softly, her voice tired but content, "Of course she is. She takes after her father."
The two of them looked at each other, smiling.
Davis approached closer, kneeling beside the bed to look closer at the baby’s delicate features. Her tiny face was fair and serene, but her eyes, when they fluttered open, glimmered faintly with a deep amethyst hue that was from neither of them.
"She already has a bit of your soul aura, emanating Nascent Soul Stage level aura," he murmured in awe, "A natural connection to light... and life."
Ellia nodded, her fingers brushing the infant’s soft cheek before her finger poked Davis’s cheek.
"This can no longer be treated as a coincidence anymore. It was obvious to begin since there’s no way a man and a bunch of women could produce so many children with so many physiques, but your chaotic yang truly causes mutations to occur within the ovum that could lead to a physique or a disaster or even nothing like Arc’s. Fortunately, we haven’t experienced any disasters, but we should take note of it."
"Nothing disastrous happens because I’m virile," Davis uttered proudly, causing Ellia to giggle.
"You are- you are~ My womb attests to that~"
She turned to look at her daughter and couldn’t help but caress her cheeks once more, again and again. Her heart was filled with intense love.
"Her name is Lydia Davis. How is it?"
"Perfect." Davis smiled, his expression heartened.
He could tell that Ellia named her daughter after herself and Myria, paying respects to the woman she considered her soul mother, the Saintess who created her.
