Chapter 4318 Empress Hex Arachnid's Thoughts
Chapter 4318 Empress Hex Arachnid's Thoughts
"I'm willing to host your Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan in one of our mini realms. The next time they visit, they can all move to our place. To that end, you need to come see the place first and choose a location to your liking"
"Many thanks for the unreserved hospitality and undeserved accommodation, Divine Emperor of Death."
Empress Hexena Xylusc gracefully cupped her hands and bowed all the way.
Davis once again moved his gaze away from those mountainous peaks and looked at Katherine, beckoning her closer.
Katherine giggled and quickly rushed to him. Her lion tail wagged like a dog before she appeared by his side and grabbed his hands, feeling the roughness. As a Quaking Earthflame Lion, she was way bigger than him, but in human form, she felt utterly small.
"I heard you protected the hex arachnids from a deadly corrosive attack? How cool!" "Hehe~"
He ruffled her crimson hair, causing her to giggle more.
Davis activated his karmic eyes and saw that her karmic virtue had increased to four meters tall. She really did save the hex arachnid clansmen from facing a cruel fate at the last moment.
He then took the two of them away in a flying ship.
There was also the prisoner in Empress Hexena's life ring but he guessed nothing untoward would happen since that prisoner was sealed to the limit.
During the journey, Davis sat near the deck and Katherine simply hugged him from the side.
She had a smile on her face the whole time, while Davis felt somewhat intrigued. He could feel that Katherine's affection towards him was really pure. She was practically no different than a child hugging their most likable adult. Fortunately, she was flat, so he was not bothered at all by her hugs and made chit-chat with her, learning her version of the events.
Many of them had different perspectives, so he could see more.
He learned what the Six-Headed Hydra uttered to Evelynn to make her mad, causing him to blink before he nodded.
He wasn't leaving alive, alright.
Katherine had no limiters on her mouth. She even said that Ancestor Alissara had first tried to harm Evelynn by trapping her, even though their intentions were to revive Empress Hexena Xylusc.
It made him frown.
Right at that moment, Empress Hexena Xylusc came around, causing her to freeze.
It seemed like she had picked a bad time to come.
Davis stared at her, "I assume they have been punished?"
"Yes..." Empress Hexena Xylusc's heart shook, "Wisteria's decay energy had significantly lowered their lifespan. They're not far from death."
"I see." Davis nodded.
It matched with what Katherine said. However, she wasn't eloquent in explaining the events calmly. She didn't exaggerate but mixed the course of events before and after, not letting him get the full picture. Nonetheless, he didn't care since Katherine was still a teenager in his eyes.
He thanked her.
Empress Hexena Xylusc didn't leave. She stepped forward.
"I came here to ask you if you can heal the two Ancestors. They're my personal maids who took care of me in my childhood, so I can't bear losing them!"
Davis raised his brows, not expecting that there was such a history. Katherine didn't. say such a thing, but when he looked at her, she nodded.
"Well, they tried to harm my Evelynn. I wouldn't let them go normally, but since she forgave them, I suppose I can heal them. You can earn contribution points in the Davis Family and use our services to heal them."
"Is-is that so? How?"
Empress Hexena Xylusc asked, so having nothing to do while traveling a large distance, he started explaining.
After five minutes, she nodded.
"I will do my best to earn."
Empress Hexena Xylusc nodded. However, she didn't turn her head away from him, still looking at him.
"That was unfair back there. You got to know about my preferences, but you didn't say yours. Do you like... me?"
Davis didn't expect this arachnid to be straightforward, catching him off guard. He caressed Katherine, whose head was on his thigh as she already slept from the boring talk about contribution points.
Heaving a light breath, he smiled, "Truth be told, I think I have very little resistance against you for very obvious reasons. It would be better if you keep away from me."
"I see." Empress Hexena Xylusc finally looked away. Behind the veil, her lips curled into a slight smile.
"Perhaps it is because I soaked in Evelynn's memories and emotions once, but I don't feel any discomfort to be seated by your side. The truth is- I'm still learning what I want to do. From the very beginning, I couldn't think of any aspect other than cultivation because my clan was endangered. But for the first time, I feel like nothing is binding me anymore. It is thanks to you who singlehandedly nurtured Evelynn who saved us."
"You're overestimating me." Davis shook his head.
"From what I saw my inheritance wasn't worthy of the prowess Evelynn displayed. She was extremely strong. I know it is because of you. You don't need to be humble about it."
Empress Hexena Xylusc giggled lightly.
"Of course," Davis smirked, "I am her foundation, but if she doesn't move forward, nothing will happen. Only she knows the pain and struggles she went through to command poison and cast hexes. I respect her very much to take all the credit." "I'm glad my inheritor had found a good husband and a leader who can change the fate of the outcomes even when it seems hopeless."
Empress Hexena Xylusc turned to look at him again, her expression solemn.
"I hope you can give me some leeway for the previous wrongs my Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan has committed. We have been under the whims of fate for so long, but for the first time after so long, if we can ride on your coattails, they think we may meet an end or become the greatest arachnid clan. My thoughts are the same, so please give us a chance."
Davis couldn't help but blink,
He nearly forgot that he had a considerable force to conquer multiple realms, and that directly translated into deciding the fate of anyone or any power he wanted in this layer without having to use Fallen Heaven. His status as an Anarchic Divergent mattered less when he could wave his hand and cause an army to move out.
As an Empress, Hexena Xylusc was able to see this even though she was young. He was impressed by her- until she placed a hand on his hand.
It felt very soft, making his heart tremble.
"To that end- if you want to claim me as one of your conquests, I- I don't mind."
Empress Hexena Xylusc's heart pounded heavily, but she kept her gaze straight. The moment she came back with Evelynn, she knew she would belong to this man. After all, she could not be with Evelynn and marry another man.
It would bring major trouble. However, she didn't know what to do or how to say it- but her mission was clear. It was to make the Three-Eyed Chromatic Hex Arachnid Clan as powerful as possible.
She imagined if she could gain favor, then she wouldn't need to be lost anymore. Her clan wouldn't need to drown anymore.
Davis couldn't help but smile lightly before he grabbed her hand with both hands and
moved it away back to her thigh gently.
"You are mistaken about one thing. I don't embrace to conquer. I embrace to make
love and bring a fruit of love into this world."
He raised his hand and caressed Empress Hexena Xylusc's head.
"If you're afraid, you can lean on Evelynn, and I'm there for Evelynn. We will never
forsake you."
Empress Hexena Xylusc's gaze shook. Her eyes turned moist, and she looked away, an unconcealed smile spreading across her lips.
"Truly... you're the greatest man I've ever met..."
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
Empress Hexena Xylusc stood up. Taking a deep breath, her bosoms heaved heavily before she cupped her hands at Davis and walked away. Her pace was hurried.
Davis watched her leave. He had many thoughts running through his mind. Fortunately, he was able to see that Empress Hexena Xylusc was scared and hastened her thoughts. He supposed she still thought their clan wasn't fully out of danger.
"Master, so hard-"
Abruptly, Katherine's voice echoed.
When Davis looked down, he saw he had a hard-on, and it was hitting right at her cheek.
Instantly, his expression darkened in embarrassment. He didn't realize it at all while posing like he was an understanding and mature man.
He quickly pulled Katherine to the side and looked at her awkwardly, but she kept her eyes closed and pretended as though nothing had happened. Eventually, she just rested on his shoulder and slept while he didn't even want to talk about it or find out if she really felt it or was just dreaming.
'Damn it... there must be a limit to how popular I am... if these beauties keep seducing me left and right, I won't last...'
Davis took a deep breath and calmed himself.
It took him an incredible amount of effort to not just pounce on a willing beauty. He felt like he was doing a disservice to himself, but then again, he didn't want to add anyone to his harem since he had not met every one of his wives' needs yet. Until then, he was of the mind of suffering along with them.
