Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3649 Chancing Upon A Pagoda

Chapter 3649  Chancing Upon A Pagoda

Evelynn felt that there was something to the Hidden Pagoda. Perhaps the word hidden attracted her attention, but she guessed that it was more likely to have a connection with the trials.

She continued to head east.

This was because she saw the Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Crystal Beast carcass on her way, which likely meant the group that was with Marpitas was headed this way instead of the north. She couldn't believe they were extra careful to appear from the north if the eastern side was really the direction they were coming from.

'None of them are normal…'

Evelynn once again noted in her mind. Even Marpitas escaped from that despondent situation, escaping the crystal phoenix successfully when he had almost become meat paste.

But while she headed east, she noticed something through the corner of her eyes. 𝒩eW 𝒏ovels upd𝒂tes on nov𝒆l/b(i)𝒏(.)com

She stopped and couldn't help but widen her eyes at a woman who was lying on the grassy surface, appearing to have been deeply injured as they were lying in a pool of blood. Her white robe was drenched in blood, but her blonde hair and facial features were recognizable to Evelynn.

"No way…"

Evelynn didn't expect to find Rea Tyriel lying in her own pool of blood.

She didn't instantly go check on her, but she first made sure that it wasn't a trap as she took a look around. Her body split into two, this time with her avatar out. Her avatar then walked over to Rea Tyriel, helping her up as she wrapped her two spider bones around her.

It was also made with immortal soul force and lacked the fleshiness, hardness, and sharpness of the scythe, but it still held that feeling and power.

Looking at Rea Tyriel's narrowed brows, Evelynn could tell that she was in pain despite being unconscious.

Looking further down, Evelynn saw that there was a big hole underneath her left bosom, and her heart had been slightly pierced out by some kind of claw-like attack.

Evelynn had no idea what had happened, but it appeared that Rea Tyriel had lost a lot of blood essence. However, just as he was about to move, she noticed a fist-sized pill rolling down from Rea Tyriel's sleeve and falling into the blood puddle.

Instantly, Evelynn reacted and caught it.

However, her heart pounded like anything as she gazed at the glazed gold pill, knowing that it was extremely valuable.

'Is this… an Empyrean Grade Pill…?'

There was some kind of transparent seal on it as there was a rune on it, so it lacked undulations, but holding it in her hand, Evelynn could certainly feel an atrocious amount of energy within it. If she consumed it right now, she would probably explode into a fountain of blood and die.

That was the feeling she got from it despite feeling greedy enough to steal it from Rea Tyriel.

Then again, she cast a glance at Rea Tyriel, wondering how this woman came into possession of this kind of pill.

Her other two spider bones moved to stab Rea Tyriel's forehead.

It was right before her forehead, the sharp edge laden with purplish-green poison, so even if Rea Tyriel survived this attack from an instinctive reaction, she would eventually die. However, Evelynn stopped before her scythes could penetrate Rea Tyriel's forehead.

Evelynn's eyes were oozing with bloodlust, but for some reason, she couldn't make the kill.

The two scythes trembled before they moved back.

Eventually, she sighed.

Sometime later, Rea Tyriel woke up.

"…!"

She did so with a huge jerk of her head as she stood up and then clenched her teeth and fell back from the pain, swarming her heart and body. But instead of falling, she leaned on a tree and slid down, appearing to take deep breaths as she saw a person before her.

"It's you…"

Evelynn sat on a beautiful rock piece she had carved into a chair. She sat like an Empress, appearing to be in control over the situation.

Rea Tyriel looked around and noticed a blue hex symbol etched on her forehead. She couldn't help but laugh dryly.

Her damned cultivation was sealed.

"I let you live because I need information."

Evelynn opened her mouth calmly and took out the glazed golden pill, "What is this pill and how did you obtain it?"

"Aha~ Of course, you would steal it…"

Rea Tyriel laughed coldly. However, she saw that her body was bandaged and given first aid, although it was made from her own skirt, so she was in quite an awkward position right now where one of her long legs didn't have anything concealing it, making her look quite erotic despite not in such a situation.

"You lost it." Evelynn inclined her head as though shrugging, "Besides, we're competitors who entered this place willing to kill each other for the Candidacy. You should be happy that I spared you, so just make it to the Crystal Gate somehow…"

Rea Tyriel's eyes flashed. Her lips curled in a mocking fashion, "How magnanimous, just like that jerk of your husband."

"What did you say?" Evelynn's brows narrowed.

"I meant what I said." Rea Tyriel scoffed, "I might've considered him once, but he didn't even look back at me. It's too bad I fell in love with Black. Otherwise, I would've been with your husband…"

Evelynn's gaze went indifferent, "Aren't you worried Black Tyriel would fall out of love from hearing this admission?"

"Aha~ He already knows and still accepted a hopeless woman like me. I'm probably going to die in your hands, so I'll just say that your husband could've made me fall for him if only he didn't behave like a jerk."

"…"

Evelynn wanted to throw it right back at her. Her attitude wasn't good either, as she behaved like a spoiled brat, but then she shook her head as a smile escaped her lips.

"Are you trying to provoke me into letting you leave so I think you would suffer in this state while thinking of my husband when, in truth, you're going to escape and return to kill me?"

"…"

Rea Tyriel kept silent. Her gaze fell here and there as though trying to think of a way to get out.

"I'll ask again." Evelynn's voice turned cold, "Tell me about this pill and how you obtained it."

"…"

It was as though signifying a last warning, causing Rea Tyriel to clench her teeth.

She couldn't believe that she had escaped that hellish mountain of two hundred and fifty-one Candidates trying to finish her off, only to get caught by this woman known as Hex Demoness.

"I won the First Hidden Pagoda…"
