Diary of a Dead Wizard

Chapter 667: Storm Eye Appears

Lucy looked up in shock. She couldn’t believe that a second-rank wizard could survive great-grandfather’s Prayer Art: Punitive Thunder.

At this moment, Luke’s head was like a melted syrup.

Except for a pair of eyes that could barely maintain human appearance, all other parts of his skull were burned by lightning, completely blackened, with some unknown substances melted and rolling down his cheeks.

Luke’s head was beyond recognition, but he still pressed the deformed mouth on his face to his throat.

“Lord Chairman’s Punitive Thunder is indeed formidable. If I hadn’t studied all Stargate members’ specialized magic several times, I might have truly been killed by you.”

Lucy could see that this Luke was indeed worthy of being someone the Stargate Chairman pushed forward to compete with the Glare Family and Saul. At least his strength wasn’t weak.

She also knew that her angry attack just now had actually violated her position. If she didn’t want to tell Luke the answer now, she could either drive him away or leave herself. But after Lucy realized that Luke hadn’t died from the Punitive Thunder, her anger didn’t decrease but increased.

Her desire to kill Luke was now even stronger!

Luke glanced and saw golden lightning beginning to flash in Lucy’s palm again.

He was somewhat surprised, not understanding the reason for Lucy’s attack, but he wasn’t afraid of Lucy, even if she had a nominal great-grandfather.

Luke quickly crouched down and thrust both hands into the soil.

Lucy immediately felt the floor beneath her feet begin to shake. She immediately jumped high, but although she had jumped into mid-air, the floor beneath suddenly extended seven or eight highly rotted arms.

These arms had brown-black fur on their outer sides, of unknown racial origin.

Lucy had already jumped nearly a meter high, but was still caught by the ankle by the suddenly extending rotted arms.

Lightning conducted from Lucy’s ankle to those arms.

But the rotted arms didn’t know pain. Although they were electrocuted until even the bristles on their skin curled and carbonized, their movement and strength weren’t affected in the slightest.

Lightning couldn’t electrocute the already dead again.

Lucy’s attack failed, and she was forcibly pulled back to the ground by the arms.

She immediately reacted, switching to cast the metal-attribute magic Blade Rain.

But Luke changed tactics again. Before the slender blade edges fell, those rotted arms suddenly softened like mud.

The blade tips pierced the arms, immediately severing them, but the arms quickly fused back together after the blades passed through.

Just as Lucy was preparing to cast the next spell, Luke smiled slightly, pushed off with his feet, and like someone with springs installed, appeared before Lucy with a “whoosh,” then suddenly opened his arms and embraced the young lady before she could escape.

Lucy wanted to flee but discovered that waves of death energy emanating from him were causing her spiritual body to tremble violently.

The magic power Lucy was about to condense instantly collapsed.

“Luke!” Lucy was somewhat panicked.

Him suddenly embracing her like this didn’t make Lucy feel embarrassed, but gave her a real experience of death’s threat.

“Young lady, just tell me the answer. Otherwise, I have ten thousand ways to make your life worse than death.”

Lucy bit her lip. Large amounts of death energy entering her body gave her the stagnant feeling that her bones were beginning to rust.

“If you dare touch me, great-grandfather has ten million ways to make your life worse than death.”

But Luke wasn’t afraid at all. He even withdrew one hand and wagged his finger in front of Lucy.

“Copying my words to threaten me has no intimidating power at all!”

He leaned close to Lucy’s ear. “Your great-grandfather won’t care about you. As long as I get the answer and then kill you, when you wake up again, you’ll quickly forget why you died. Just like before.”

Lucy was stunned.

But her first reaction was that Luke was lying.

She wasn’t afraid of death.

With a fourth-rank great-grandfather, the Tribunal’s resurrection restrictions couldn’t control her!

But why would Luke say she would forget the cause of her death?

Large amounts of death energy surging in left Lucy no time to think. She knew that if this continued, even if she could escape, she would have to expend great effort to expel the death energy from her body.

Lucy suddenly raised her hand, revealing her pale, slender, seemingly fragile neck. “Kismet! Help me kill him!”

Now it was Luke’s turn to be surprised.

Although he was surprised, he didn’t lose his guard because of it.

Instead of retreating, he advanced, carrying Lucy and crashing directly into Old Days Manor.

Then, laughter wrapped in harp music sounded behind Luke.

Luke’s magic power flowed, and several more rotted arms with brown-black body hair grew from the floor behind him.

However, these arms were cut into several segments by invisible blades as soon as they emerged.

Luke, as the caster, immediately sensed all this. He didn’t turn around but threw Lucy backward.

Kismet’s figure appeared from mid-air, smiling as he caught Lucy flying through the air, then sang softly.

His not-particularly-beautiful voice immediately shattered the black stains growing from Lucy’s body.

Then he casually tossed her behind him and continued pursuing.

Lucy landed on her bottom, felt a slight pain, and glared hatefully at the two figures chasing and fleeing, finally having no choice but to get up herself.

In the wizard world, if you lack strength, don’t blame others for not respecting you.

Now that Kismet was helping her, Lucy was already grateful.

Of course, she could only helplessly roll her eyes at Kismet’s sometimes reckless behavior.

But just as Lucy was thinking of catching up to help Kismet deal with Luke together, a huge disturbance came from beneath her feet.

Lucy originally wanted to immediately fly up to avoid falling, but just as she flew halfway, a huge impact from behind knocked her hard to the ground.

This time she obviously hadn’t flown high or fast, but the impact was unusually strong.

When she hit the ground, she felt like her entire body was falling apart, with muscles and bones simultaneously groaning in pain.

“Ugh!”

Before Lucy could get up, another huge disturbance came from inside the room. Lucy was again blown away by invisible explosions, her entire body swinging backward, directly smashing through the door and tumbling to the bottom of the stairs.

“What’s happening?” Lucy’s hair was disheveled, her face covered with bloodshot eyes as she looked up in terror.

The next second, she saw Kismet and Luke, both with grave expressions, running out at extreme speed one after the other.

Kismet ran out the door first, but just as Luke was about to come out, he suddenly turned back and quickly plucked the silver harp.

Sharp music sounds instantly became several invisible blades, sealing off Luke’s escape routes from all angles.

Luke’s mind worked quickly. Instead of resisting head-on, he twisted around and raised his elbow to crash into the wall beside the door, actually wanting to break through the wall to avoid Kismet’s sonic attack.

However, in this moment of turning, he was a beat slower than Kismet and failed to escape Old Days Manor.

Kismet had just released his sonic attack when his pupils suddenly contracted. He could no longer be bothered with the sneak attack, retreating repeatedly, even backing behind Lucy.

Lucy beside him was dumbfounded.

In their eyes, the dilapidated manor that had just stood on the plain was now rotating and twisting around a central point in the blink of an eye.

Like a piece of exquisite silk being grabbed at the center point and given a sharp twist, causing the entire silk to convulse and spin.

Luke, who was about to break through the wall, had just extended half his body when he rotated and deformed along with the entire manor.

The image was twisted and stretched into slender curves.

A living second-rank wizard became a blur of unrecognizable paint.

He couldn’t even let out a single wail!
