Volume 12 - Yomi-no-kuni: Chapter 137 – The Imperial Princess And Her?
Lily kept the realization to herself. Ayaka, catching on immediately, forced herself to suppress her own shock. No matter how uncanny the resemblance, Lily was certain—this woman wasn’t Sister Shimizu.
Shimizu couldn’t have gained such overwhelming power, no matter how similar they looked. Lily could sense a distinct difference in aura. The tattoo on her exposed shoulder and the bandages at her waist—those alone weren’t enough to draw conclusions. After all, if Shimizu had entered Yomi, anything could’ve changed her along the way.
Then… who was this woman? Why did the Boundless Imperial Princess look exactly like Sister Shimizu? Could it truly be a coincidence in such a vast world? Unlikely—but not impossible.
There had to be a reason. Something that happened behind the scenes—something Lily didn’t yet understand. Yet, the Imperial Princess wasn’t surprised by Lily’s reaction at all. That only made Lily more anxious.
“What’s wrong? Do you really like my face that much?” the Imperial Princess asked with a teasing smile. Her tone irked Ayaka—but in this situation, what could she say?
“N-No… That’s not it…”
“Then what is it?” She leaned closer, her gaze locking onto Lily’s. “I like your face too. Are you saying… you don’t like mine?”
It was a near-impossible question to answer. She looked so much like Sister Shimizu… how could Lily even begin to respond?
“That’s not it either…” Lily stammered. She nearly spilled everything but she knew better. She had to understand the truth first. Still, the Imperial Princess’ behavior left her rattled. Did she already suspect something?
“You really can’t be direct, can you? Typical woman,” the Princess murmured with amusement. “You need to be punished for that.” She raised Lily’s chin with slender fingers. Then, without warning, she pressed her lips against Lily’s. Ayaka’s eyes went wide in stunned silence.
“Mmm—!” Lily struggled instinctively, trying to push away. She resisted with all her strength—but the Imperial Princess didn’t even need to restrain her. A crushing spiritual pressure held Lily in place, paralyzing her.
If Ayaka had been any less disciplined, she might have acted. But she knew it would’ve been suicide. Lily had a reason to resist. Ayaka, as a maidservant, had none. She could only watch in silent fury.
Still kissing her, the Imperial Princess slipped her arm behind Lily’s waist and lifted her off the ground—carrying her effortlessly in a bridal hold, lips still locked.
Lily’s cheeks flushed crimson. Her body trembled as she fought back rising desire, breath catching in her throat. Her legs dangled helplessly in the Princess’ arms. Though taller, she was completely dominated. And worst of all—this was happening in front of everyone.
Most demons had fled, but a few distant ones still witnessed it. The rest—the procession, Queen Kaguya, Chiya—they could only stare in stunned silence.
Queen Kaguya’s heart twisted. This was the only woman she had dared to love again after years of emptiness—yet the Boundless Imperial Princess was treating her like a possession.
The others remained silent, paralyzed by fear. But she was Queen Kaguya—one of Yomi’s greatest rulers. Could she really allow her beloved to be humiliated like this?
“Your Grace,” Queen Kaguya spoke in a low but firm tone. “Even if she is your fiancée, she is still the Princess of Yomi-no-kuni. Please, show the proper respect to our nation.”
The Imperial Princess finally pulled away from Lily’s lips, exhaling softly with a pleased hum. “Mmm… Just as I expected. A healthy and beautiful woman tastes completely different from the rest.”
Lily felt the world tilt beneath her. Having endured the weight of her curse for so long, the overwhelming kiss shattered her last thread of resistance. She was no longer the helpless girl she once was—now a peerless warrior in Yomi—yet here she was, kissed forcefully and publicly like some defenseless maiden. Shame and humiliation overwhelmed her, threatening to drain all her strength.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” the Princess scoffed, narrowing her eyes. “It was only a kiss. You act like you’ll get pregnant from it.”
At that, Lily lowered her head and closed her eyes, her cheeks burning with silent humiliation.
“Your Grace!” Queen Kaguya called out, unable to stay silent any longer. “Please… let her go. Have some dignity!”
“Still lingering?” the Princess mocked. “Lily is my wife-to-be. So what if I show her affection ahead of time? Respect for Yomi-no-kuni? Heh…”
She chuckled, voice thick with mockery. “In a realm where the strong take what they want and women are enslaved without question, you preach to me about respect? What I’ve done is restraint compared to those disgusting beasts. I let you live because you helped my beloved. But now… are you lingering here hoping for an invitation to the wedding banquet?”
“No matter what… please, don’t bully her,” Queen Kaguya pleaded, her voice laced with sorrow.
“I’m simply eager to shower her with love.” The Princess smirked. “And perhaps… this is exactly how she likes to be treated?”
Queen Kaguya flushed with indignation, but the words caught in her throat. “Don’t talk about Lily that way!”
“Why not?” The Princess sneered. “Aren’t you here to protect her? Or… are you here to disrupt my procession? Because if that’s the case—don’t expect mercy.” As she spoke, a wave of ominous dark energy pulsed from her body, making the very air tremble.
Queen Kaguya clenched her fists, her instincts screaming to act—but she knew all too well: even if she and Chiya sacrificed their lives, they wouldn’t stand a chance. She swallowed her fury and stood trembling, forced to endure it.
The Imperial Princess smirked, her gaze shamelessly lingering on the Queen’s full curves. “You’re a fine woman too. If you can’t let Lily go… then come along. Serve me together. I’ll even let you two talk as much as you want. Isn’t that generous?”
A faint flush of lust tinged her otherwise pale face.
“That’s enough!” Chiya growled, her patience snapped. She drew her weapon, aura flaring with fury.
The Princess scoffed. She opened her lips just slightly, and a pulse of black energy took shape—forming a compact sphere of destructive force. In a flash, the orb vanished, then reappeared directly before Chiya.
With a deafening impact, the orb struck Chiya squarely, hurling her through the air. The black energy tore through her clothing and body alike. She crashed hard into the ground, gasping, clutching at what was left of her garments, seething with pain and fury.
“Your Grace!” Lily gasped, swallowing her shame. She wrapped her arms around the Princess’ neck, pressing herself closer. “Please… don’t hurt them…”
Inside, Lily burned with humiliation. But she gritted her teeth and forced herself to act gently. This woman’s mind was unpredictable—and for now, appeasement was the only way to protect those she loved.
