Chapter 100 - Threaten
Chapter 100: Threaten
I patted her on the shoulder. “Maybe they’ve been separated during the fight. Regardless, I need to go check on Jing Tian. Jing Ni sounded so stressed on the phone. I’m worried about her too. Plus if something happens, you can just come through the backdoor.”
Su Qian and Su Shen were at a loss. In the end, Su Qian said, “I’ll stay with Master Si. Su Shen, you can accompany miss.”
“Okay.” Su Shen nodded. I walked to the door and then stopped. I turned back to lean down to hug my little uncle. “Little uncle, you need to wake up soon, I worry about you so much.”
There was no one in the courtyard of Jing Tian’s villa. I rushed to the main house with Su Shen. I was so worried that I’d see a Jing Tian who was as heavily injured as my little uncle. I rushed towards the door.
Suddenly Su Shen grabbed me and pulled me towards the wall. She shielded me. I was so shocked. Before I could say anything, I heard the sound of bullet entering flesh. Su Shen leaned weakly on me.
The lights in the corridor lit up. I saw the blood flow out from Su Shen’s chest. “Su Shen!” I gasped and hugged her. Su Shen’s body slid away from my gasp. My heart ached!
I screamed and my ears boiled with the sound of blood. I couldn’t hear anything else. I grabbed the whip from Su Shen’s waist as 4 men in black walked towards me. Their mouths moved but I couldn’t care less. I raised my arm and whipped one of them to the ground. Then I continued to attack. A voice in my head said, Kill them all! They are bad people!
I walked into the hall.
“Nanxing!” Jing Ni screamed my name. I turned and saw Auntie Bai Rui lying on the couch in a pool of blood, while Jing Ni was being held hostage by 2 men in black. “Nanxing, I’m so sorry!” Jing Ni screamed.
I saw no sign of Jing Tian! This info registered in my mind and I felt relieved.
“Nanxing, I’m so sorry. They forced me to make that call by threatening my mother. Nanxing, I’m so sorry!” Jing Ni cried and apologized as she struggled.
I smiled and heard my own voice say, “Ni Ni, don’t cry, I’m here now, don’t cry.”
Someone charged towards me. Without much thought, I waved my whip and sent the man flying to the ground. My whip had a life of its own. It attacked everyone that tried to harm me.
“Ah!” Suddenly Jing Ni wailed. When I lifted my head, I saw someone hold a dagger against Jing Ni’s throat. “Miss Nanxing, put down the whip or I will kill her!” The bedroom door behind Jing Ni suddenly opened. A man in a white suit walked out. I was startled because the man reminded me so much of my little uncle.
He sized me up. “Indeed, you are very beautiful. Shi Feng didn’t lie to me, but he didn’t tell me you’re such a violent girl! Can you please put down the whip so we can talk civilly?”
Many different voices echoed in my mind. The man’s mouth moved but I couldn’t understand what he was saying. My head hurt!
“Nanxing! I’m so sorry, this is all my fault!” Jing Ni pleaded.
What is he saying? I found myself asking, “What did you say?” I tried to focus.
The man in white smiled at me. “Nanxing, come with me or else I will kill this girl and her mother!” That did register in my mind. I looked at Bai Rui on the sofa who was not moving.
“Don’t worry, she’s not dead… yet. But if you hesitate longer, she will. And let’s not forget about your bodyguard who is lying outside.” He looked at me with amusement.
“Okay! If you let them go, I will go with you.” I heard myself say.
“That’s what I like to hear.” The man clapped. Jing Ni was pushed towards Auntie Bai Rui and a man came towards me with a rope. As the man tied the rope on me, I fought back without warning. I grabbed my whip and lashed it at the man in white.
However, he caught my whip in midair. He chuckled. “Nanxing, how can you turn back on your words like that? You’re embarrassing your mother’s name!”
Before I could say anything, another man rushed forward to grab me. With lightning speed, I was trussed up like a chicken.
“Nanxing, now that’s a good girl.” The man walked over to touch my head.
My ears were filled with the sound of my own blood flowing. I heard my hoarse voice say, “Release them.”
“Okay, let us go!” The man nodded with a smile and waved at the people behind him.
“Nanxing!” At the entrance of the helicopter, I turned around at the sound of my name. I saw Jing Tian standing there covered in blood.
For many years, this scene would haunt my nightmare. I couldn’t tell if it was real or it was just a figment of my imagination as I was being carried away by this man.
