Cultivating in the Wizard World

Chapter 693 - 590: Huh? Us?

Five years later.

Jeming stood at the edge of the East District Plain, looking at the massive array before him, and sighed softly.

After decades of construction, the giant array of the Daoist Soldier system covering the entire plain was finally fully debugged.

One hundred and eight rune columns were neatly arranged, each emitting stable energy fluctuations.

The central control hub has been activated and can be put into operation at any time.

"Really wish I could refine one now..."

Jeming's tone was filled with regret.

According to records from the Great Dao Book Pavilion, Daoist Soldiers are best refined with Imperial Flow Pulp for optimal effect.

Over the years, aside from experiments and testing, he had accumulated quite a bit of Imperial Flow Pulp, just enough to use.

But refining Daoist Soldiers is not something that can be completed overnight.

The preparation alone has to be counted by months, and the formal refining requires continuous outputs of spiritual power without interruption.

And today is the agreed date with Viola.

Jeming withdrew his gaze and turned to walk towards the Teleportation Array.

"I'll try it when I get back, hoping this trip won't disappoint me."

The light of the Teleportation Array lit up, and the silver-white spatial energy engulfed him.

Nolun No.1 Plane.

As soon as Jeming stepped out of the Teleportation Array, all the hair on his body stood up.

Invisible pressure surged from all directions, like the deep sea's water pressure, heavy and suffocating.

But Jeming quickly calmed down because he immediately recognized that it wasn't a targeted attack on him.

It was the natural dispersal of spiritual powers from countless powerful ones, converging into an invisible ocean.

He looked up at the sky.

The gray-blue sky trembled slightly, and the entire atmosphere vibrated at a very low frequency.

Such vibrations are imperceptible to ordinary people, but Jeming could distinctly sense that it was the power reverberations of countless powerful existences resonating in the air.

As the first plane established by Nolun Workshop, after tens of thousands of years of operation, Nolun No.1 Plane was no longer the ordinary plane it once was.

Thousands of plane fusions and innumerable space expansions had allowed it to grow from a medium plane into a truly "super-large plane."

But at this moment, even the atmosphere of this super-large plane was trembling.

Jeming took a deep breath and suppressed the shock in his heart.

He had seen this scene once before.

Decades ago, when the Nolun Workshop waged wizard wars against the Chaos Secret Sect and Tower of Annihilation, the elemental disturbances caused by the tens of thousands of High Tier Wizards gathered together had the same effect.

His originally relaxed expression became serious at this moment.

Aside from that wizard war, he had never seen so many High Tier Wizards gathering.

Even when Anton Buchanan ascended to become an Eighth Level Wizard, there weren't as many High Tier Wizards attending as there are now.

"Don't tell me there's going to be another war with other Wizard Influences..."

Jeming muttered softly to himself.

But he quickly dismissed this guess.

Although the atmosphere was heavy, it wasn't tense.

The wizards hurriedly passing by did not have the stern demeanor of pre-war, but rather a sense of... anticipation?

Jeming shook his head and stopped thinking about it, proceeding towards Nolun No.1 Academy.

Along the way, his assumptions were constantly confirmed.

There were too many High Tier Wizards.

The figures clad in various Magic Robes passed by him, heading in the same direction.

Sixth-level Wizards were everywhere, and Seventh-level Wizards weren't uncommon either.

High Tier Wizards continuously arrived via the Teleportation Array, heading towards Nolun No.1 Academy.

Jeming quickened his pace, passed through the Academy gate, and walked along the main avenue straight to the main plaza.

Then he stopped.

The plaza was too large, beyond what his gaze could encompass.

But at this moment, this massive space was entirely filled with High Tier Wizards.

Jeming scanned the area, quickly estimating in his mind.

The figures clad in various Magic Robes were at least Sixth-level.

The presence of Seventh-level Wizards was ubiquitous; a casual glance would reveal dozens.

And there wasn't a single Low Level Wizard present.

Or rather, Wizards below Sixth-level had already voluntarily retreated due to the overwhelming pressure of the plaza.

Standing at the edge of the plaza, Jeming suddenly felt conspicuous.

Because he was only Fifth-level.

Within the entire plaza, he was probably the only Fifth-level one.

Instinctively, he searched for familiar faces, trying to alleviate this sense of awkwardness from being out of place.

Then he saw another person.

In the corner on the other side of the plaza, a young man in a gray Magic Robe stood there, his expression full of bewilderment akin to "Why am I here?", completely contrasting his once confident demeanor.

It was David.

Looking at him, Jeming nearly laughed.

Just like him, Fifth-level.

The only two Wizards below Sixth-level in the entire plaza.

Jeming waved distantly.

David immediately noticed him, squeezing through the crowd, quickly walking over.

"Jeming!" David's voice carried a hint of "surviving a disaster" relief, "You here too?"

Jeming nodded: "Called in. What about you?"

David wore a wry expression: "My tutor asked me to come, saying I should experience the world. Only after arriving did I realize, this isn't seeing the world, it's a punishment."

He lowered his voice, gesturing to the surrounding High Tier Wizards: "Try being stared at by dozens of Seventh-level Wizards at once; my legs are shaking."

Jeming couldn't help but laugh: "Coincidentally, my legs are shaking too."

"Do you know what's going on?" David asked.

Jeming shook his head: "You've asked the wrong person; I genuinely have no idea."

While they were speaking, suddenly a lazy female voice came from behind them.

"You two, why are you standing here dazed?"

Jeming turned his head and saw Viola emerging from the crowd.

She was dressed in a deep purple Magic Robe, her aura deeper than when they last met.

It seemed she had experienced quite "grueling" times under Professor Clark.

"Senior." Seeing someone familiar, Jeming felt relieved again, "What's exactly happening?"

Viola walked before the two, a hint of a playful smile on her lips.

"Well..."

Viola raised her finger, waving it before the two: "Strictly speaking, the reason these Wizards gathered is because of the two of you."

"???"

Keming and David were both taken aback.

"Us?" David's voice changed pitch, "I don't even know what this place is for!"

Jeming also frowned: "Senior, that's not a funny joke."

"Not a joke."

Another voice came from beside.

Jeming turned to see Dean Avery Knight approaching slowly.

The dean of Nolun No.147 Academy wore a deep blue Magic Robe, his Seventh-level Wizard aura stable and restrained.

"Avery Knight Wizard." Jeming greeted.

David followed suit, the bewilderment on his face growing deeper.

Avery Knight walked up to them, his gaze sweeping over Jeming and David, with a smile on the corner of his mouth.

"Viola was right. This 'gathering' is indeed thanks to the two of you."

Jeming and David exchanged a glance, both seeing shock and bewilderment in each other's eyes.
