Cultivating in the Wizard World

Chapter 671 - 572: Absolute Zero, Small Talk, and Light Divinity Transformation (Two-in-One)

Chapter 671: Chapter 572: Absolute Zero, Small Talk, and Light Divinity Transformation (Two-in-One)

This war, which had broken out abruptly due to an accident, came to an end.

And it ended in an equally abrupt way.

That pitch-black "wall" lay across the center of the Information Plane, splitting the entire world in two.

On this side of the wall was the forward outpost the Wizards had just established, a blue ocean with countless Entropy Brains floating within it.

On the other side of the wall was the core territory of the information lifeforms, the homeland on which they depended to survive.

No one could cross that void-like barrier.

At least not for now.

Over the next few days, the Wizards exhausted every method they could think of to study this bizarre barrier.

Elemental Shock—invalid.

Law erosion—invalid.

Information Pollution—invalid.

Space Jump—couldn’t even lock onto the other side of the wall.

After finishing the construction work on the frontline outpost, Jeming also joined the research team.

He stood before the wall, but didn’t dare get too close.

A faint golden light rose in his eyes.

The All-Purpose Eye was running at full power, with the Fate System providing a continuous stream of Calculation Power in support.

His gaze pierced through that pitch-black surface, delving inward, analyzing bit by bit the true nature of this barrier.

Then he couldn’t help but become engrossed.

"This is..."

The surrounding microscopic particles had all come to a standstill.

Not moving slowly or almost still, and it wasn’t some exaggerated description—this was complete, total, absolute stillness.

Every atom, every electron, every quantum, every Element was locked in place, with no fluctuation, no motion, no change.

Sure enough, it hadn’t taken long after the Wizards first touched this wall for them to detect its true state: Absolute Zero.

Here, all change was forbidden.

No Energy transfer, no information exchange, no flow of causality.

There was only eternal and absolute stillness, a stillness that could be called deathly silence.

Jeming watched, dazzled and entranced, the Soul of a Wizard researcher blazing within him:

"So this is...the extreme of entropy reduction? And the Elements? What’s going on with the way the Elements manifest? How is this even achieved..."

Those information lifeforms, on the brink of life and death, had actually managed to create such a barrier.

Suddenly Jeming thought of something and pulled himself out of his research trance.

He turned his head subconsciously to look toward the center of the outpost camp.

There, Martin was floating in midair, surging Energy fluctuations rolling off him.

It was the aura unique to an Eighth Level Wizard, so powerful it inspired awe.

But at this moment, this mighty Eighth Level Wizard actually had a somewhat...awkward expression on his face.

Standing beside him was a Seventh Level Wizard, who was speaking to him with a helpless look.

"I told you to hold back a little..."

Jeming’s ears twitched, and that voice faintly drifted over.

"Now we’re left with no spoils again. We already lost a huge batch of Entropy Brains before this..."

Martin coughed dryly and muttered a defense in a low voice: "Got a little carried away, couldn’t rein it in... You know, ever since I rotated off the very front line, it’s been a long time since I really did anything..."

"Honestly, that Silent Abyss would definitely have yielded some really good materials, and you just wiped it out..."

Hearing this, the corner of Jeming’s mouth twitched slightly.

So that’s how it is.

He finally understood why Martin made so few moves himself, and why he always had the High Tier Wizards go first.

It wasn’t because of caution, it was because...

This Eighth Level Wizard’s abilities simply couldn’t leave any spoils behind.

Heart of Ashes.

The reason Wizard Martin had earned this title was because of that gray-white flame of his that could cause everything to dissipate—its essence was a power that simulated the state of heat death.

The information lifeforms touched by the gray flame had their cores and all their information annihilated together, leaving absolutely nothing behind.

Although that wave of gray flame just now had been blocked by the black wall, before that it had already wiped out a massive swath of information lifeforms.

The Entropy Brains in that region had all turned to ashes along with them.

The reason Jeming had just snapped out of his research-absorbed state was because he suddenly recalled a few earlier details.

Martin discovered this Plane, launched the Plane War, personally led a probing assault, then issued missions for everyone to look for effective ways to deal damage...

Was this really a coincidence?

An Eighth Level Wizard whose ability was fundamentally "entropy increase," "heat death," "turning everything into the most chaotic state," just happened to find a Plane that was home to a race that fully exalted "entropy reduction"?

Jeming didn’t buy it.

He was in the middle of these thoughts when he suddenly felt the atmosphere around him shift.

He turned his head and saw that at some point, Martin was already standing beside him.

"Uh..."

Jeming reflexively stepped back half a step, then realized what he was doing and hurriedly bowed. "Senior Martin."

Martin waved a hand, a kindly smile on his face.

He looked at Jeming, a hint of amusement in his eyes.

"Looks like you’ve already figured out some of what’s going on behind the scenes here."

Jeming was silent for a second, then nodded honestly. "Mostly because you didn’t bother to hide it."

Martin burst into hearty laughter.

"There really isn’t much point hiding it." He turned, looking toward that jet-black wall, his gaze growing deep. "Yes, I specifically chose this Plane."

Jeming listened quietly.

"I study entropy increase, study heat death, study how to let everything return to chaos. I’ve walked this path for hundreds of thousands of years, and I’ve already reached the limit of an Eighth Level Wizard." Martin’s voice was very calm. "But the opposite of entropy increase is entropy reduction. The two oppose each other, yet are unified. Pure entropy increase is ultimately one-sided."

He paused, the corner of his mouth curving up in a faint smile. "So, I needed a race that fully upholds entropy reduction to help me complete the final piece of the puzzle."

Jeming’s heart trembled.

A deliberately selected Plane...
