Chapter 623 - 529: Pre-Battle Preparations 2
Chapter 623: Chapter 529: Pre-Battle Preparations 2
If that’s the case...
The two trillion tons of antimatter from the Tower of Annihilation can indeed be "handled".
It can be completely decomposed, transformed, or transferred to a safe area using the Refining Array.
The massive emotional energy from the Chaos Secret Sect can also be handled in the same way.
No wonder Dionysus says it is "theoretically slightly stronger than any other".
The Super-wide Area Refining Array indeed has the qualification to deal with any one of the trump cards alone.
But the problem is...
"Can only deal with one of them?" Jeming asked.
"Yes." Dionysus nodded, "Once the array is activated, all energy will be concentrated on the selected target. To deal with two simultaneously... unless there is a second array of the same level, or other sufficiently powerful means to assist."
Jeming fell silent.
Immediately, he realized another matter:
"So... our reconnaissance and combat earlier were completely unnecessary?"
Dionysus looked at him calmly, his gaze showed no guilt nor apology, only a nearly cold calmness belonging to a strategic decision-maker:
"Yes."
"But in doing so, it would expose our intentions early." Dionysus continued to speak, his tone unwavering, "Letting the other side know our personnel are active across the entire plane is far better than letting them directly see a super-large array that covers the globe. As for the losses of those reconnaissance battles..."
He paused.
"In terms of cost, this is the most appropriate method."
Jeming sank into silence.
Then he nodded lightly.
Even though he himself was actually part of the cost, Jeming still agreed with Dionysus’s words.
Because he understood.
This is war.
Those low and middle-level Wizards who fell during reconnaissance missions, in the eyes of a strategic decision-maker like Dionysus, are "acceptable costs".
It sounds cruel, but on a macro level, it is indeed an unavoidable reality.
Instead of getting caught up in sacrifices that have already happened, it is better to think about how to make the best use of the current forces and make those sacrifices worthwhile.
He raised his head, looking at Dionysus and Clark:
"What do we do next?"
Next to him, Viola laughed, her smile carrying a bit of eager excitement:
"Of course... start the decisive battle early!"
She looked at Jeming, her silver-gray eyes sparkling with fighting spirit:
"If we delay any longer, once the other side accumulates enough energy, even the Super-wide Area Refining Array won’t be able to suppress it."
Jeming understood her meaning.
The Tower of Annihilation is still manufacturing antimatter, and the Chaos Secret Sect is still collecting emotional energy.
The longer it drags on, the thicker the other side’s trump cards become, the more limited the effect the Super-wide Area Refining Array can have.
We must initiate the decisive battle before the other side reaches a critical point.
But then, he thought of another problem:
"If we can only deal with one trump card... what about the other?"
Clark looked at him, his mouth slightly upturned into a meaningful smile:
"That’s why you’ve been called over."
Jeming was stunned.
"Huh?"
He pointed to himself, the confusion on his face unhidden:
"Me?"
He couldn’t understand.
He was just a Fifth Level Wizard.
Even though he just defeated an Illusion, even though he mastered a big move like Light Divinity Transformation, in front of such level trump cards, he was still as small as dust.
Either of the two trump cards prepared by the enemy Alliance Army is not something he can handle alone.
Clark, however, didn’t offer further explanation. He simply turned to look at Dionysus and nodded slightly:
"I’ll hand it over to you next."
Dionysus smiled and nodded, his smile carrying a kind of deep meaning Jeming didn’t understand.
Then, Clark beckoned to Jeming and Viola:
"Let’s go."
Jeming dumbly followed, took two steps, and then turned his head to look at Viola who was coming along:
"Are you coming too, senior?"
Viola rolled her eyes, grabbed his arm, and dragged him forward:
"Nonsense. The old man has spoken; can I not go?"
The two followed behind Clark, passed through the side door of the command room, and walked along the corridor deep into the camp.
Behind them, Dionysus watched the backs of the three disappear at the end of the corridor.
Then, he withdrew the smile from his face.
That elegant and gentle expression, like a mask washed away by water, instantly faded.
In its place was a calmness so cold it was almost cruel.
He turned, facing the remaining senior advisors and communication Wizards in the command room.
"Order! Notify all Wizards executing missions outside." His voice was not loud, yet it clearly penetrated into everyone’s ears with an undeniable majesty, "Immediately retreat. All personnel return to camp."
He paused.
"Prepare for the decisive battle."
Inside the command room, the air seemed to freeze for a moment.
Then...
The encrypted communication channels were fully activated, orders spread swiftly like invisible threads across the camp and to every corner of the plane where the Wizards were executing missions.
...
...
After Dionysus’s order, it took less than two days to complete the preparations.
The vast majority of Wizards from Nolun Workshop stationed outside, like hundreds of rivers returning to the sea, frantically retreated from every corner of the plane.
The defense barriers around the camp lit up layer by layer, the Space Anchor Technique operated at full capacity, ensuring every returning Wizard was recognized, allowed passage, and settled at the first moment.
The first to return were those reconnaissance teams closest in distance.
Dusty and battle-worn, none complained or questioned the sudden recall.
The tense atmosphere, nearly solid in the camp air, explained everything.
Everyone knew that when the supreme command issues a "return to camp" order, it means something.
Those reconnaissance Wizards, gray-faced and full of scars, before they had time to catch a breath, were packed into designated fortresses by logistics personnel.
Following them were those elite groups deep behind enemy lines.
Among them, some were covered in blood, some dragged unconscious companions, some had only souls carried back in soul containers.
But they all returned.
Lastly were those Seventh Level Wizards responsible for arranging the trump cards.
Silently, they appeared in the deepest part of the camp, a lingering fatigue and chaos from prolonged high-intensity casting enveloping them.
Meanwhile, at the end of the distant horizon.
Teleportation lights densely lit up at the enemy camp.
Clearly, the other side also sensed the impending storm in the air.
Chaos Secret Sect and the Wizards of the Tower of Annihilation were frantically retracting personnel, concentrating their forces.
At the end of the gray-white wasteland, those faint enemy reconnaissance units all disappeared in a single night.
Occasionally, powerful spiritual powers swept across the central area of the battlefield, both sides faced off across the space, yet neither sent out a single soldier.
For a time, the entire battlefield fell into a calm before the storm.
Dionysius Spencer stood in front of the three-dimensional tactical sand table in the center of the command room, hands behind his back, his gaze sweeping over the dense light spots on the sand table one by one.
Behind him, thousands of High Tier Wizards stood solemnly, waiting for the final order.
"Now confirmed," Dionysus spoke, his voice not loud, yet clearly penetrating into everyone’s ear, "All outside-executing High Tier Wizards have returned."
"The enemy has also completed their contraction. Their trump cards have shifted from the ’manufacturing stage’ to ’ready to launch’."
"There is no need to wait any longer."
He turned, facing everyone, his gaze calm yet carrying an undeniable majesty:
"Begin, initiate the final decisive battle."
The moment the order was given, the war machine of Nolun Workshop thunderously started.
(That’s all for today’s Chapter)
