Another messenger was down on his knees in front of Zhao Geng Nian.
Zhao Geng Nian, seated in his chair, stroked his beard and waved at the messenger.
"You may leave now." He said and the messenger bowed at him before leaving the main hall of the residence.
Zhao Geng Nian opened the envelope and read the letter inside it.
He snorted coldly as he read the content.
"Seems like there is someone in the imperial court that has some courage left in him.
"This Duke of Mu is trying his luck..." He said in a cold tone and the letter in his hand burst out in flames, turning into ashes within a few moments.
"Xiao Feng..." Zhao Geng Nian turned to his side and called out to his direct disciple but he stopped when he realized that Xiao Feng was no longer there.
He inhaled slowly to calm himself down.
After so long, the anger for the death of Xiao Feng was still lingering in his heart.
There was someone out there that was making things difficult for him.
And he suspected that the involvement of Qian Shi was due to the same person pulling the strings in the background.
He picked up the tea cup in front of him and had a sip of the Spirit Tea inside.
"Since you want to play, let’s see who will have the last laugh."
Zhao Geng Nian stroked his beard and pondered on what he should do when Qian Shi arrived.

He decided to check on Lao Er and Ling Er after he came back from all the work for the day.
Lin Xuan Qi headed out to the construction site after he had his breakfast.
The shopping mall was now near completion and the streets and houses that were apart were now connected into an entire building by itself.
Passersby were curious whenever they passed by, thinking that it was another mansion for one of the rich merchants in the city.
"Which family or clan is this for?"

Some of the servants from the mansions nearby chattered when they walked by.

If what Lin Xuan Qi had said were true, their day would be so much more efficient having to come to the shopping mall to get what they needed.
"Are you sure about it? Would the items be more expensive?" One of the servants asked with a suspicious look, thinking that there must be a catch to it.
Lin Xuan Qi shook his head at them and said, "No, the items that are sold would be the same as what you would get from the other places."
"Really?" That got the servants excited but they were still reserved about it.
It still sounded too good to be true to them.
Lin Xuan Qi shrugged and said, "Well, you can come and have a look when it opens.
"There will be promotions and lucky draws for all the patrons on the opening day, so it’s best that you don’t miss it."
"Promotions and lucky draws?" The servants were perturbed when they heard him.
They had never heard about it before.
Usually, when a new shop opened for business, there would be firecrackers, some ceremonies to bless the shop’s fortunes and nothing else.
No one had heard about promotions and lucky draws for the opening day.
"I guess it wouldn’t hurt for us to come have a look..." The servants said and went on their way.
