Chapter 620: Zhao Geng Nian’s Killing Rampage

Chapter 620: Zhao Geng Nian’s Killing Rampage

Lee He Song led the guards back towards the city, and they were near the edge of the forest when he saw Zhao Geng Nian streak through the air.

He could feel the air cutting at his skin instantly when Zhao Geng Nian went by.

If not for the fact that Zhao Geng Nian was only passing by, the guards might have been badly hurt by his Sword Aura.

In fact, some of them were, albeit with only small cuts on their bodies.

"Hurry, we mustn’t stop." Lee He Song ushered for them to continue on their way back towards the city.

He didn’t have a good feeling about it.

And he was right about it.

Zhao Geng Nian’s voice boomed in the air, causing all of their chests to feel like they were exploding.

"Who dares to kill my disciple!"

Lee He Song didn’t stay around to find out what happened next.

He and the guards continued running towards the city.

"Master Lee." While he did so, Sima Ye’s voice called out to him.

Lee He Song saw Sima Ye with other members of the Sima Family.

They must’ve also figured out a way to come out of it relatively unscathed compared to the others.

He didn’t say much to Sima Ye other than giving him a nod.

Sima Ye, in turn, let out a sigh of relief, being glad that Lee He Song and Lin Xuan Qi’s men were safe.

No extra words were needed.

And behind them, they could hear screams of desperation echoing in the forest.

"Come out, you think you can hide away from me." Zhao Geng Nian shouted, and he threw something to the side.

The thing dropped onto the ground not too far away and rolled a short distance before it stopped.

It was a man’s head with the eyes widened and jaw slackened.

The owner of the head didn’t have time to respond before it was severed from its body.

And this was considered lucky.

Others met with a much more horrifying fate.

They were pulverized into a red mist, leaving no trace of them behind by Zhao Geng Nian.

The surviving cultivators from the north saw how ruthless and deadly he was and they retreated back away from him.

But this was not the day that Zhao Geng Nian was willing to let any of them go.

His anger and fury would not subside until he avenged his disciple.

"Who killed my disciple?" Zhao Geng Nian asked when he saw some of the cultivators from the north trying to run away.

The cultivators from the north glanced at each other for a moment.

Then, the tattoos on their arms started glowing.

But it was only for a brief moment.

An aura descended upon them and the very next moment, they knelt on their knees.

"Argh." They cried out in pain and struggled but it was to no avail.

When they were down with their limbs on the ground, the aura and pressure on them didn’t stop.

Crack.

The sound of bones fracturing could be heard and all of them began to be flattened by the aura that Zhao Geng Nian exuded.

Blood flowed out from the flesh that was torn, pooling and seeping into the ground.

Soon, the cries of pain were gone and the cultivators from the north were now flattened into a mangled mash of hair, skin, flesh, and bones.

However, it was still not enough for Zhao Geng Nian.

His rampage continued with him flying through the mountains and killing off anyone he could find.

Finally, when he got to the peak of the mountain, he was facing JunGe DaLu.

JunGe DaLu was the only person alive and he swallowed a mouthful of saliva when Zhao Geng Nian descended in front of him.

"Tell me, was it you?" Zhao Geng Nian pointed at him and asked.

JunGe DaLu shook his head and replied, "No, I have no idea about who killed your disciple."

His eyes darted around trying to look for a way out but couldn’t.

All of his guards were already killed by Zhao Geng Nian.

They were unable to even lay a finger on him before they were slaughtered by him.

"You should think twice about killing me." JunGe DaLu, seeing that he had no other way out, tried to use another strategy to get himself out of it.

"Think twice? Have you thought about the same thing when you killed my disciple?" Zhao Geng Nian smirked and stared at him with his bloodshot eyes.

"Trust me, as a warrior of Da Mang, I would never lie to you about this.

"I don’t know who killed your disciple.

"But one thing is for sure, if you kill me, be prepared to face the wrath of my Crimson Wolf Lord."

Zhao Geng Nian narrowed his eyes and shook his head.

"Who do you think the Crimson Wolf Lord talked to before he was able to get you into Da Qian?" He said and JunGe DaLu’s eyes opened wide at the revelation.

"Wait... I can make it right for you." JunGe DaLu tried to seize on it and make a deal with Zhao Geng Nian.

But Zhao Geng Nian was in no mood to negotiate.

The familiar aura descended upon JunGe DaLu, making him drop to his knees in an instant.

JunGe DaLu tried to reach into his shirt for his Artifact but Zhao Geng Nian swiped his finger at his arm.

Slice.

The Sword Aura from Zhao Geng Nian’s finger sliced his arm off and blood spurted out from the wound.

JunGe DaLu frowned and he knew he had to get away somehow.

He directed his Spirit Qi to his dantian and his dantian started glowing.

A small figure that was around his forearm’s length appeared from his dantian, which looked like a smaller version of JunGe DaLu.

It was his Nascent Soul.

His Nascent Soul tried to fly away but Zhao Geng Nian drew out his sword and slashed it down at the Nascent Soul.

Hundreds of glowing swords rained down from above, slicing through the Nascent Soul effortlessly.

JunGe DaLu saw that his last resort had failed and his body shook as he tried to struggle free from the aura of Zhao Geng Nian.

But it was for a brief moment.

Crack.

Zhao Geng Nian slashed his sword at him and the slicing wave cut him in half, including the rocks of the peak of the mountain.
