It was a bright sunny day with a clear blue sky and some fluffy white clouds floating by.
Lin Xuan Qi glanced at it and felt that it would be great to have some dessert later on to alleviate the heat from the sun.
There were only warm breezes blowing occasionally, making the air warmer instead of cooling things down.
Spring was coming to an end and it would be summer soon.
He got onto the horse carriage which was already waiting for him.
And when he sat comfortably inside, he said to the coachman, "Go by Liu Xing street, then turn into Lou Kong street, and head towards the factories in the south using the Nan Dao street after that."
He planned another route to get to the factories instead of the usual route he used.
This route would go through all the different franchise stores in the city, making it a backup for him if anything went wrong.
He was confident with his cultivation level now but it didn’t mean that he wouldn’t be cautious whenever he could.

The coachman nodded his head at him and cracked the whip.
After the horse carriage moved off, the Qing Feng Sect disciples began to follow closely behind it.
They cursed and wiped the sweat off their brows while doing so.
Having to exert so much energy following Lin Xuan Qi in this dreaded heat wasn’t the most pleasant experience.
But it wasn’t over so soon for them.
On and on the horse carriage went through the bustling streets, and when it finally reached the factories in the south, these Qing Feng Sect disciples were already drenched in sweat.
Their cultivation robes stuck onto their skin making every movement uncomfortable for them.
"Let me get him!" Some of them wanted to barge into the factories to have a go at Lin Xuan Qi but they were held back by the cooler heads among them.
Zhao Geng Nian had specifically asked them to only monitor the movements of those that were involved, not confront them.
Meanwhile, Lin Xuan Qi took his time in the factories, slowly checking on the production line.
The Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence was in production with the supply of the Kelp and he was pleased with how things were going.
Which meant that there would be a huge increase in income for the month.
He could then put the money to good use setting up new businesses or expanding the businesses to more cities in the Da Qian Dynasty.
When he was done, it was lunch time and he headed for Old Feng’s inn next.
He wanted to see how Lao Er and Ling Er were doing.
"Master Lin, they left after the morning.
"They said that they were eager to get back to Gui Feng City to get their sect up and running as soon as possible." Old Feng briefed him on what had happened.
Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head while he had a sip of tea.
Lao Er and Ling Er were more or less independent now, and it would be one less headache for him to manage.
While he was doing so, he couldn’t help but sense the Qing Feng Sect disciples who were still monitoring him in the distance.
They were now cursing him even more when they witnessed him enjoying good food and drinks under the comfortable shade of the inn compared to them.
"How much longer do we have to do this?" One of the disciples grumbled while fanning himself with his hand.
The other disciples frowned and kept quiet.
"I wish I could afford the cooling heart talismans to keep myself cool in this weather." Another disciple said and that made them deflated with the mere mention of the cooling heart talismans.
They were only at Qi Concentration Level and they weren’t good enough to wield any spells to cool themselves down.
The use of talismans was their only hope, but they couldn’t afford the hefty Spirit Stones required.
And so, they could only endure the suffocating heat.
They were close to tears when they saw Lin Xuan Qi standing up and walking towards the horse carriage.
The trees that lined up along the street where the Lin Mansion was beckoned to them and they wished that he was heading back to the Lin Mansion.
But their hearts sank when the horse carriage went in the opposite direction.
Lin Xuan Qi visited Old Heng, young master Chew and their friends in their mansions respectively. They had invited him for a meal to celebrate and he was obligated to do so.
If he wanted to expand the franchise business into other cities, he would have to get their help, and all these customary meetings with them were a necessary evil for him.
He wasn’t in a hurry and he took his time savoring the meals at their mansions.
It wasn’t until dinner time that he finally decided to get back to his mansion.
The Qing Feng Sect disciples were close to tears when they saw him headed towards the direction back home.
Lin Xuan Qi was welcomed by Xue Cong and the others as usual.
And watching him together with his wife and concubines, smiling and chatting about their daily lives, they couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy in their hearts.
The day finally ended with nothing unusual happening in the night.
Lin Xuan Qi was on alert for any movements by them but thankfully, they didn’t make any.
It wasn’t over for them as he did the same thing all over again for the next few days, minus the visit to Old Heng and the other business partners.
But on one of these days, something happened while they were monitoring Lin Xuan Qi over at the factories.
Sima Ye made a delivery to the Lin Mansion.
Xue Cong received the delivery for Lin Xuan Qi and Zhi Yong took it upon himself to guard it in the lab after Sima Ye said that it was something very valuable and important for Lin Xuan Qi.
And when Lin Xuan Qi came back to the mansion, it was a pleasant surprise for him.
"Finally." He mumbled to himself while he opened the huge chest that was placed inside the lab.
