Clan Prosperity Starting With My Servant Girls

Chapter 575: Lao Er and Ling Er

Chapter 575: Lao Er and Ling Er

For the next few days, the construction for the arena went on.

Lin Xuan Qi visited the site to check on the progress and everything was going smoothly.

Old Shao and his team were mainly supervising the unskilled labor they had recruited just for the construction of the arena.

Many of the businessmen like Old Heng and Master Chew even came and visited him.

They wanted to figure out what he was doing with such a huge project and see if they could have a share in it if possible.

But Lin Xuan Qi didn’t say much except that it was for the Sima Family.

That was enough to make them think twice about it.

Getting involved with the Sima Family might not be a simple matter for them.

For those who weren’t in too deep with the Sima Family like Liu Shao and Lin Xuan Qi, they would rather stay clear from any possible troubles after the incident with Jiao Shi.

Lin Xuan Qi didn’t want them to be involved either.

He wasn’t sure if he could make enough from his investments on the arena and he wasn’t ready to share any possible profits with them.

On and off, there were also men from the Sima Family and Qing Feng Sect coming over to check on the arena.

The Sima Family came to create the Formation Array required to keep the destructive forces on the battle stage away from the spectator stand.

And the Qing Feng Sect disciples came over to check if there were any Artifacts or Formation Arrays that were hidden out of sight that would disadvantage the other competitors.

Fortunately for Lin Xuan Qi, they came at different times and he avoided any possible flare ups when they met with each other.

As the days went by, the cultivators from other clans and sects also arrived in Hong Feng City.

They too came to check on the arena.

All of them were eager to win for the reward and make a name for themselves if they were able to beat the Sima Family.

And they wanted to ensure that it would be a fair competition.

Lin Xuan Qi graciously allowed them to check on it and at the same time kept watch on them to prevent them from doing something to the Formation Array that was set up.

Everyone including Lin Xuan Qi was eager for the tournament to start.

...

"I can’t wait to make a name for myself."

"Heh. You should be glad to be able to advance to the second round of the tournament."

"What do you mean by that?!"

The patrons inside Old Feng’s inn were getting rowdy after a few drinks and Old Feng had to come over to pacify them.

"The weather is hot, here’s some dessert to cool down." Old Feng waved at the waiters and they brought out a few plates of desserts for the cultivators.

The cultivators were getting impatient after registering for the tournament and learning of the rules.

Old Feng had to pacify them with all the tricks that he had up his sleeves and, he too, wished for the tournament to quickly start as he was using up most of his tricks.

Among the patrons were a young man and young woman.

They had nothing but a bundle on the table.

Lao Er glanced around and checked on his potential opponents.

Ling Er, who was sitting by his side, was also doing the same.

They had instructions from Grand Ancestor Lin to join the tournament to make a name for themselves and so they did.

Old Feng came over to them with a huge smile and said, "I hope the dishes are enough. Let me know if you want more."

"It’s fine... We are full." Lao Er gave him a wary smile.

He didn’t know why but Old Feng had offered him a discount on the room and even free food for him.

But Old Feng only told him that he and Ling Er reminded Old Feng of his grandson and granddaughter, which was why he was extra caring for them.

Lin Xuan Qi had instructed Old Feng to do so and Old Feng did it without any questions.

"I think we should get back to our room." Ling Er said softly and Lao Er agreed.

It was time for them to continue with their cultivation.

They weren’t the most talented with their impure Spirit Roots so they had to be the most hardworking.

When they got back into their room, Lao Er took out the incense urn from his bundle and placed it on the tea table that was in the middle of the room.

Lao Er and Ling Er bowed to it and they sat down on their beds to start with their cultivation.

They closed their eyes and took in a slow breath.

"Have you arrived?" The low coarse voice sounded from the incense urn and they quickly opened their eyes.

"Grand Ancestor Lin, we have indeed arrived in Hong Feng City." Lao Er went over to the incense urn and said.

Ling Er followed closely behind and she said, "We have registered for the tournament with the statue from the rogue cultivators and also the blue sphere that you’ve given us."

"Good. Try your best to make a name for yourselves so that you can start getting disciples later." The low coarse voice sounded again.

Lin Xuan Qi figured that if he let them advance to the third round of the tournament, it would bring some attention to Lao Er and Ling Er.

Many cultivators without any resources like Lao Er and Ling Er might be interested to join them.

And with the odds that were not in their favor, they would be able to help him earn more with the bets that he could get from them.

"Continue with your cultivation, I need to go back to my slumber." The low coarse voice sounded and they bowed at the incense urn.

"Yes, Grand Ancestor Lin."

Lao Er and Ling Er went back onto their beds, sat in lotus position and closed their eyes.

They could only try as much as they could, breaking through to the Qi Concentration Level Refined Stage before the tournament started.
