Chapter 439: XIAO MEI IS MISSING

Next day, the Yang family was sitting on the breakfast table together, eating food quietly. In the last few days, that had gone by happily and cheerfully, today was more solemn.

Everyone was present in the breakfast table except for Ning Mei. Yang Zeng did not say anything and just concentrated on his food, while Yun Xiyi every now and then glanced at Ning Mei’s chair, that was now empty.

Yang Chen, Yang Bei and Yang Weiwei also glanced at the chair one in a while. They felt saddened that their sister did not eat anything. She did not even join for the dinner last night.

Yang Chen lowered his head. She indeed did not join for dinner last night, but that did not mean she had nothing. Last night, at late hours, he had sneaked some food for her.

Spending sometime with her during the shoot, he understood one thing about his sister very well. That is, she was a huge glutton! If anyone wanted to get into her good books, all you need to do is get her good food. You are going be her favourite untill you knowingly mess things up.

But to his unexpectancy and disappointment, she did not eat much last night. And had barely eaten for the name sake. It appeared as if she was deep in thoughts.

Yang Chen thought it must be her just thinking about her condition right now.

If she decides to just skip her meals at this rate, she is going to fall sick soon.

Thinking of that, Yang Chen got up in between of having his food with a start. Everyone looked at him puzzled, and Yun Xiyi asked her son, " What’s wrong, Xiao Chen? Did you suddenly remember something?"

Yang Chen looked at his mother and said, " Mom, I am going to go bring Xiao Mei. At this rate, she would just grow weak and sick."

Yun Xiyi heard her son and then glanced at her husband. He did not say anything and just continued eating. Then she turned back to her son and nodded her head.

Yun Xiyi had already sent a servant earlier to call Ning Mei for the breakfast, but she came back saying that Ning Mei did not open the door. Infact, she did not even answer to her calls.

Yun Xiyi understood that her daughter was still very angry and upset with them.

Yun Xiyi, in all honesty was torn between her daughter and her husband. Both of them had reasons of their own and were right in their own ways.

Both of them were stubborn and she wanted both of them to be happy. But it is all going wrong right now.

Yang Chen went to Ning Mei’s room and knocked on her door. " Xiao Mei. It’s me. Open the door. "

He got no answer. " Xiao Mei, stop being stubborn now. Come and have your breakfast. And then you can go back to be stubborn. It’s all your favourites today. " He tried bribing her. But there was still no answer from the other side.

Yang Chen now frowned. He could understand if she did not open the door for any other family members or the servants. But why him? He was in her side, isn’t it!

And she has easily opened the door for him last night. So what has got into her tonight. Wass she still asleep? He thought to himself.

On that thought, Yang Chen checked his watch and saw that it was quite late.

He knocked again and there was still no answer. Was she alright? Now Yang Chen started getting concerned.

He held the door knob and saw that Ning Mei had left the door open.

He said out loud, " Xiao Mei, I am coming in. " He said.

But poor Yang Chen did not get any response again. Sighing in concern, he turned the door knob and entered the room.

He looked around, and his eyes scanned to room but to his unexpectancy, she was not present in the room. His eyebrows furrowed together and he walked to the washroom and knocked on the washroom door too. But the washroom was also open and she was not in.

It was now that Yang Chen started getting panicked. Where is she?

He ran to the breakfast table and announced that Ning Mei was not in her room.

Everyone’s faces instantly mared with deep frown and they got up leaving their food half finsihed.

" What do you mean Xiao Mei in not in her room?! " Yang Zeng asked with a tinge of fear in his voice.

Yun Xiyi was instantly filled with anxiousness, as she asked, " Did you see properly? She must be around! "

Yang Chen shook his head and said, " No, she is nowhere to be found. I looked for her everywhere. "

" Yang Bai! Ask your men to serch for Xiao Mei everywhere! Any inch of the mansion or the base should not be left unserched. Search the whole fucking area!" Yang Zeng ordered.

" Yes dad!" Yang Bai left the the room with a deep frown.

Yang Chen was also very anxious. He would have entertained the thought that she must have fled. But this sudden and unannounced? She did not even inform him. And this fact did not sit good with him. Something seemed off.

Moreover, he couldn’t take risk with his sister.

They searched for Ning Mei at every corner they could. The base and the mansion and the whole area. But they did not find a trace of hers.

Yang Zeng furiously threw a folder on the desk as he shouted, " Where did my daughter go! No jets were taken! No cars left the premises! No nothing! Then where did she go? She could not possibly vanish into thin air! Could she! "

Yang Zeng was furious with the situation! Though he was intially a little upset with his daughter’s stubbornness. But currently, all he was filled with was anxiety!

He was afraid something bad had happened with him. Being in this field of business for these many years now, it was a valid reason for him to think like this.
