Chapter 420: WRITTEN IN THE PAPER
In the car
Gu Yeze and Ning Mei had chosen a separate car for them to be alone for a while. Gu Yeze was driving it, while Ning Mei sat in the passenger seat explaining him what all great things she had accomplished tonight.
Gu Yeze heard all that with great attention and love, as she drove the car. And in between he chuckled, laughed and replied to her.
The bodyguards were in two other cars. One, that was driving ahead of there’s. And the other one that was behind them.
And Wen Xiao had already left. He had to deal with the authorities. As his boss had broken all the traffic rules and had droven his car, at a speed of some super racing cars in the roads of the city.
He was atleast thankful that noone was injured and his Boss had good driving skills.
Finally, Ning Mei was done narrating the whole incident and she now sat quietly thinking about something, as she stared out of the window.
Gu Yeze glanced at her and asked, " What happen, Mei? What are you thinking about?"
Ning Mei turned to look at him with conflicted expression. She pouted and took out the folded paper from her purse that You Lian had given her earlier and showed him. " This! I want to know what’s written inside it. "
Gu Yeze smiled softly and said, " But your friends and family said, " We can open it when we are home and relaxed. "
" Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. No.. no... They said we can open it once we are alone and relaxed. "
She corrected him.
Gu Yeze looked at her again, he could already guess what was going on in her little mind.
He asked, " So what is my wife thinking?"
Ning Mei pursed her lips and said a little timidly, " You see... We are alone now, and we are also relaxed, isn’t it? So, why not just see what’s written in there? You know, I don’t want anything to happen to my body so early! "
" You want to?" He asked.
Ning Mei nodded her head without any second thought and said, " Yes!"
Gu Yeze chuckled and said, " Okay."
And he stopped the car by the roadside. Currently, they were driving through a narrow road, with trees on both sides.
The other cars too stopped and one of them soon came to their window and said, " Boss, this road is too narrow. We cannot stop three cars here together. "
Gu Yeze nodded and said, " It’s alright. You all can continue driving and wait for a while, a little further.
" Okay Boss. "
The two cars, soon left the place. He would drive a little further and on finding a good place to stop, they will wait for them.
After they left, it was only the two of them in their car. Gu Yeze turned on the lights and Ning Mei shifted her body to face him. She took the paper in her hand, and took a deep breath. " Okay. The moment of truth now. ". She said.
Gu Yeze too turned to face her and smiled.
She opened the car, and there were few lines written there. Shs started reading it loud,
" Dear soon to be, mommy and daddy.
Get yourselves ready to welcome a little lovely muchkin in your lives.
Many many congratulations.
- Soon to be aunty. "
Ning Mei just read out loud without getting it. " Heh! Did she give me a wrong pa-" and the next second, as she raised her head, she saw Gu Yeze’s frozen form.
And then it hit her!
WHAT!!
Her eyes too widened in - God knows what! Because she had no words to express her emotions right now. Thousands of thoughts and feelings were spiralling in her mind and heart. And she had no words to describe it.
They just say frozen stiff in that same position for God knows how long.
No one knows after how long, Ning Mei finally moved, and put her hands on her belly. Her face was filled with shock as she said, " I am... I have.. My .. " She started shuttering, as her overwhelming emotions didn’t let her say anything.
The next second, before she knew anything, Gu Yeze pulled her in his arms and wishpered near in her ears, "We are pregnant! Mei! We are pregnant! "
He kept on repeating those words near her ears.
And it sounded more like a mantra, that he was using on himself so that he could believe it.
Finally, as the news sinked into them, and Ning Mei pulled out of his arms. Both of them had a wide smile on their lips, that did not seemed to be lessen at all! Neither did they want to.
Ning Mei covered her mouth with her hand and said, " Oh my! I am just feeling of dancing my heart out! " She turned to Gu Yeze exictedly and said, "Hubby, can you believe that we are about to welcome a baby!
A small little child. Our child. The symbol of our love! Oh my God!!! So this was what they were hiding from us! Sly people!"
Gu Yeze was looking at the love of his life with bliss filled eyes. He had never been happier than whst he is today. Suddenly, he started feeling as if he was the most richest and the most happiest man on the planet.
It was as if he could not wish for anything more. But then he thought of something and his smile slowly started flattering.
Ning Mei on the other side was squealing I’m happiness, as she talked nonstop about how happy she is.
Then her eyes her on her husband, who was staring at her, yet he seemed lost.
" Yeze... Yeze!" She called him. And when she received his attention, she asked, "What happen? Where were you lost?"
Gu Yeze slowly shook his head and then touched the side of her face. He inched closer to her and then placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Then staring into her eyes, he asked, "Mei, you don’t regret it, right?"
