Ning Mei sighed and said, " Because I don’t think it is a place for you to speak about an incident that almost ruined your little sister life in the crowd?"
Everyone went silent on hearing Ning Mei. Ning Yiyi’s eyes slowly widened as she was caught off-guard. It was then she realised that she had been. caught in a different situation at a wrong place.
" I- I did not mean it, Mei -" Ning Yiyi stammered as she tried to explain herself.
But the next second, Ning Mei burst out laughing, taking everyone aback. Has the girl gone mad? Everybody has the same question on mind. One minutes she was sad and the other minute, she was laughing.
Ning Mei waned her hand and said, " Just look at your face, Jiejie. You were looking like a scary cat! " Ning Mei teased and Ning Yiyi face turned red on hearing it.
" That’s fine. I know everyone here also wants to know about it. But that’s alright. Because good news, that I too have plans on telling you all what happened that day.
But for now, as it’s meh grandpa’s birthday, why not we celebrate it first, yes?
After that, we could continue our part of explanations. What say?"
"Yes, yes, sure! " Everybody agreed to her. And soon, the cake cutting ceremony was done. Elder Ning cut the cake, and with no doubt, he gave the first slice of it to Ning Mei the Ning Jiming.
Ning Yiyi’s nostrils flared undoubtedly on seeing this too! The last three years, she esd the one to have the first bite and now her! This bitch is here to steal all her limelight!
If people thought, that it was Ning Yan who was the most spoilt among the two sisters, and that Ning Yiyi was too kind and mature, then they were wrong.
Because though, Ning Yan created a scen of she was not showered with attention, but Ning Mei manipulated and plotted against people for it.
Then after that on a huge projector, old and childhood pictures of the good times of the family were shown.
The family remembered of some good old times as she saw those clips playing, with a smile on their faces.
After that was done, Ning Gongxue thanked everyone for coming and being a part of the celebration. Then he asked everyone to enjoy themselves.
After a few minutes, Ning Mei and Yu Lian were enjoying a piece of dessert, when Elder Ning came to them.
" Are you girls enjoying the food? " Elder Ning asked with a smile. As he smiled, his wrinkles became more prominent, which actually gave his look a more easy going and kind feel.
" Oh indeed, grandpa! This green apple mochis are so tasty! You must have one too!" Ning Mei said with shiny eyes, as she chewed the one in her mouth.
" Let me get one for you, Grandpa. " Yu Lian said, and just when she was about to move, Elder Ning hurriedly denied.
" No, no, I am fine, Lian er. I am already old and this sweet stuffs do not suit my old teeth. Beside, I am here to excuse Meimei for a while, if you girls don’t have any important thing going on. " Elder Ning asked them.
" Oh, no, no. Me and Lian were just chatting around. We were just free. Let’s go, grandpa." Ning Mei said.
Ning Mei accompanied Elder Ning out of the birthday hall to his room. But before that, she noticed Ning Yiyi staring at them.
And she did not at all wanted her to follow them and eavesdrop on whatever they spoke. So she did not forget to text Ning Jiming and Yu Lian to keep her busy, and not let her wander near Elder Ning’s room.
As soon as, the two of them went out of the room, Ning Yiyi’s face turned cold. Where are they going? She thought to herself. Ning Yiyi at present can’t see Ning Mei as useless as she used to think before.
Now that Ning Mei looked very cunning, who is not to be taken lightly.
She smilingly excused herself from the people who were accompanying her, and was about to follow her way out behind them.
It was when, two other individuals ce out of nowhere and stood in front of her. Ning Yiyi’s eyes widened with how suddenly they came. It was Yu Lian and Feng Ye.
" Hi, Yiyi. " Feng Ye greeted first.
Ning Yiyi looked at the two of them avd her eyes narrowed. She now knew that they were both friends of that Ning Mei, and therefore, they too could not be having any good intentions.
What more was that, the Feng Ye who was infamous for being cold to all the people his eyes sees, was now greeting him first?
"Yes?" She answered. Her reply was bland, but she still had to because they had eyes all over and she did not wanted to be seen as someone rude.
" It’s nothing special, but we thought of catching up with you. We haven’t met and talked to each other in a long time, isn’t it?" Yu Lian said, as she blinked her eyes trying to be cute.
" Yes, we never actually got time to talk to each other properly on the set. " Feng Ye added.
Are they here to stop me from following them? I can’t even point it out or they would know I was following Ning Mei and Grandpa. Ning Yiyi sneered and said, "Oh yes? How thoughtful? But I never found you wandering ever anywhere near me before today to even say a hi. What brought you two here all of a sudden?"
Feng ye laughed and said, " Oh, Yiyi. Why are you being mad? You know we just had to play along with Ning Yiyi, so we too could never catch a chance to catch up with you.
But now is different.."
Yes, if not for Ning Mei telling me not to do anything, I would have broken your head a long time ago!, Feng Ye thought to himself.
