Ning Mei was confused but as he came near to her car, she had an intuition that Grandpa Hao does not plan to going to the cafe here. She politely opened the car door, as she did not obviously want to make him stand outside.
Elder Gu nodded her head in appreciation and then he sat on the passenger seat.
"Good morning, Grandpa Hao. "
Elder Gu nodded his head with a big smile and nodded, " Good morning, good morning. You are looking very pretty, lass."
Ning Mei smiled at his words and replied, "Really? Thank you so much..."
It was this maroon cheongsam that she had brought last time when she encountered Ning Yan and Su Han in the mall. And the best part of today was, she and Gu Yeze had twinned today.
He wore the maroon suit, that she had brought him.
" I thought you wanted us to sit inside. " Ning Mei said indicating to the cafe.
Elder Gu nodded and said, " Yes, at first I thought of that too. But then, I remember that you are having so much fame now. It would create unnecessary trouble for you. "
On hearing this, Ning Mei smiled at him gratefully. It was right. Though, she had agreed to come here, Ning Mei would have kept her mask on the whole time. And she would have not even eat or drink anything.
Ning Mei nodded her head and said, " It was really so sweet of you to think about me. So whet do you plan now, Grandpa Hao?"
" Let us go to my House! " Elder Gu did not even hesitate for a second before proposing the idea.
Ning Mei was surprised for a moment. She said, " Grandpa Hao? Wouldn’t it be a little awkward to go there all of a sudden without informing prior? "
Elder Gu shook his head and waved his hand dismissivly. He said in a light, casual tone, " Oh, that’s completely fine. Infact, my wife was the one to suggest me to bring you home. I told her about you, and she was also quite interested in meeting you. She told me that it may create unnecessary trouble for you, if you are accompany me in some restaurant or cafe."
Ning Mei nodded in understanding. She was actually a little overwhelmed to hear that Grandpa Hao had spoken to his wife about her in good terms and she has a nice impression of her too.
It feels nice to be liked by people after all.
Ning Mei beamed a smile at Elder Gu and said, "Alright then, let’s go meet Grandma Hao! " She said and started the car.
On hearing her address Hao Sifie as Grandma Hao, Gu Haosung giggled to himself internally. Because, technically, she was not wrong either.
So Elder Gu guided Ning Mei to the Gu Mansion all the way. And finally when they were in front of the Gu Mansion’s gate, Ning Mei halted the car with a screech and looked at the mansion with big eyes! Holy cow! The mansion she was in front of right now was five folds bigger than Gu Yeze’s mansion.
And it’s architecture was a piece of art. Gu Yeze’s Mansion’s style was more of the modern kind, whereas this mansion had a hint of ancient vibes. It was magnificent.
She then heard Grandpa Hao say, " What happened, Ning Mei? The guards have already opened the gate. " He looked at her questioningly.
Ning Mei swallowed her own saliva and cleared her throat, she turned towards the old man, yet she could not tear her eyes from the sight in front of her.
" Gr- grandpa Hao, ar- are you sure you live here? And you did not bring me to the wrong address?" Ning Mei shuttered.
Elder Gu laughed at her words and said, " Lass, I know I am old. But not so old yet, to have memory loss. How can I not recognise my own house?"
That’s right. Ning Mei thought to herself. But this huge Mansion!!! Just who exactly this old man is, for God’s sake!
Ning Mei drove in the car, and stopped it in front of the entrance of the mansion. They got off, and a man came running towards them. Elder Gu ordered him to park the car properly and Ning Mei passed the keys to him.
" Let’s go inside. " Elder Gu said.
Ning Mei nodded, but then she chuckled and said, " Grandpa Hao, I had an idea that you were rich, given that you were present in the elite party of the Koral and also guessing by your demeanor. But I did not think for once that you were so rich! This looks like a Gu Family mansion!! "
" Haha, does it? Then what about me? So I pass as a member of Gu family? Maybe the old man Gu?" He asked.
Ning Mei looked at Elder Gu with a little pout and said, " If I had not met you in the event with Gu Liya and Gu Yehan present, and had not talked to you , then maybe yes, I would have belived you to be Old man Gu.
But you are too sweet to be Old man Gu!"
Elder Gu’s eyes lit up on hearing this and he asked, " And why do you think so?"
Ning Mei smiled cheekily and said, " I suppose, Elder Gu would be a little scary. I have seen and read in a lots of comics, and novels. The elder men of the rich and prominent families are scary! "
Hearing her, Elder Gu burst out laughing and shook his head. " Don’t worry, Lass. Even if the old men of the Gu family were to be scary like monsters, no-one is capable of being scary in front of you. You are an adorable girl, after all. "
Ning Mei giggled and said, " Thank you. "
