The next two to three weeks of Ning Mei’s schedule went tight with work, as the shooting had started with full force.
The shoot would wrap late at night, and many times she would reach home late. Gu Yeze himself had come to pick her many times from the set too.
During these weeks, Yu Lian could sometimes accompany Ning Mei and sometimes she couldn’t. Because Tang Xuhang and Xu Ting were also stepping forward with their career. And Yu Lian had to guide them too.
Ning Mei would from time to time take updates on Sky Entertainment’s development and she was relieved that atleast the people she has choosen this time were reliable.
There were also a few days, when Ning Mei was far from home as they had to go to the real locations for the shoot. And at those times, Chen Yang had been a gentle man. He would make sure that she was well fed and got enough sleep.
And this time, Ning Mei did not forget to notice the crew members’ reactions. They were literally shocked with his Chen Yang behaved with her. Then again, he only acted friendly and nice. But for his public personality, even this was a huge thing.
And slowly with time, Ning Mei stopped thinking much about it. He wasn’t hurting her or doing anything to damage her public image, so she might as well lower her guard around him a little.
And during this time, Gu Yeze had been the most sweetheart ! He had regularly maintained to ask about her health and also see it for himself. Every night, whenever she was late, he would either go to pick her up or wait in the living room for her.
He would make sure to massage her tired body at night for that she slept soundly. And when she was away from home, he would come to meet her. Not at the set, but a few kilometres away from the set, where Ning Mei would drive herself too, when the shoot would be over.
Ning Mei now knew the entire movie’s plot. And honestly, the plotline somewhat blew her mind.
Yang Guixi decides to back away from all her feelings since now her friend, who once saved her life was married to Qin Guang. And they were deeply in love too.
It went good for a good few months. And Yang Guixi had started to accept the fact that she had to move on with her life. She had once swore to herself that she would never marry anyone if not Qin Guang. But now she had started to rethink over that decision.
But it was not easy for her. She has already let Qin Guang go from her life, but to also let him go from his heart was really tough on her. To let go someone who she had loved for years and spend her life with another man, was not an easy task.
Than one fine day, everything started going chaos. The Qin Empire was already sensing some disturbance from a powerful tribe in the west, and they were also trying to take actions accordingly.
However they tried but they could not get information on it. It seemed very mysterious. But one night, the palace was attacked. They were all taken aback and shocked by the attack and there was ruckus all around.
Qin Guang soon woke up hearing the commotions outside and he gently nudged his wife awake. He took actions accordingly and asked Meng Shaini to go hide in a safe place together with his parents.
He promised her that this was a small commotion and it would be over soon. Meng Shaini nodded and agreed to him.
Qin Guang got on his feet and walked out of the room to see what was happening. The thing that he was fearing the most is happening now.
On the way, he saw Yang Guixi with her sword in her hand, charging to palace grounds.
Qin Guang stopped Yang Guixi, and yelled at her, " Yang Guixi! Where do you think you are going?! "
" Down to the battleground! They are the Mengsha tribe! Do you know how dangerous they are, and the severity of the situation on hand right now?! " Yang Guixi was equally furious.
Qin Guang was baffled among all these commotions, he yelled at her and said, " This is exactly what I should be asking you?! Do you know the severity of the situation! They are very dangerous and is here to harm! You must stay in your quarters right now! "
But the next moment, Yang Guixi with a swing pointed her sword at him and said, " Qin Guang, I cannot stay hidden in the quarters when I see my kingdom and loved ones in danger! I will fight and not even you can stop them. "
Yang Guixi had tears glistening in her eyes as she said it. Qin Guang could not bring himself to refute her words after seeing the intensity with what she said. Yang Guixi turned around to go from there, but then she stopped and turned to look at Qin Guang and said, " Guang, keep your family safe. I overheard some of them. Saying that much, Yang Guixi ran away from the corridors to the palace grounds where the soldiers were fighting and stopping the intruders.
She could not just sit around when his life was in danger.
Qin Guang was left with widened eyes on hearing what she said. He hurriedly took action over it, and put more guards to protect the chamber were his parents and Meng Shaini were. And he asked to be notified as soon as possible if there seemed to be any potential threat to them there.
After that Qin Guang also joined in the fight. He defeated one after another men that tried to get closer to him or the imperial grounds.
Then finally, he was face to face to the tribe’s leader in one of the other palace corridors. And to his surprise, it was a young boy probably in his late teens or early twenties. The boy swung his sword at his face, which Qin Guang sheild himself with his own sword and applied force to move away.
